@Aquinas Right? I'm sure they realized .0008% of the potential audience for this movie would get upset about something like this, and wisely went ahead with putting Fox McCloud on the poster anyways.
Haha. We are really stretching the definition of spoilers these days. Finally deleted the weather app off of my phone. Tired of these weather spoilers in my face.
@rjejr I feel like people complain about the high prices here pretty often... Yours wasn't even the first comment (or second) about prices on just this article.
@rjejr I agree. I just got Pokopia last weekend, and I’m probably going to get this, and soon (my daughter has been looking forward to both more than any games on the horizon), so that they’re being released so close together seems like strange timing. It’s how I feel about MKW and Kirby Air Riders being released so close together. I know some of their mechanics are different, but they’re more similar than different, and it felt like it would be weird to be dropping all that money on two Nintendo-published kart racers in that same window of time (still haven’t but want to get Air Riders at some point, after my finances recover from all the cozy games).
I held off on the Switch 1 version knowing that this was on the way, so I’m excited to play this game for the first time. Plus, my daughter is super excited about the co-op mini games and being able to play as Rosalina, and I know that assist mode will be really helpful for her. I don’t know, I get why adults who already have the game are disappointed by the updates, but I feel like kids are going to love the additions and sharper visuals here.
$8-10/hour to play the game through definitely isn't nothing, but it also isn't unfair. How much are movie tickets?
Gaming is not a cheap hobby, but compared to how much more expensive everything else has gotten (and how relatively quickly that's happened), it really isn't as bad as it could be.
People going off on the price of Switch 2 games today don't remember things the way I do. I remember asking to get Street Fighter II for Super Nintendo for my birthday when I was 7 but being turned down due to its price. It was $70. This was in 1992. That would be the equivalent of $161 today. Gaming has never been cheap.
Am I the only one that doesn’t really like main character’s design? At least in this game. It feels incongruous to other Pokémon character designs, like she was plopped in from another game.
I was wanting to like it but was kind of bored by the demo. It just made me want to play Zelda. I also have a hard time getting past the terrible game title and that stupid fedora.
@Folkloner If you could do a sweep up of all the fps rate and game key card comments, we’d have far fewer to read through. But keep up the good fight everyone. We all know how often mobs of angry internet commenters accomplish good things in this world.
There are so many games to play. I honestly don't get the complaints about any kind of lack on the Switch 2. How does anyone have that much time or money to get to the point where you feel like there isn't enough to play? I know, complaining about complaining...
Blissfully in Yakuza 0 world right now, but still want to get Kirby Air Riders and now Metroid Prime 4. Plus Kiwami 1 and 2 when I'm done with Yakuza 0. Plus my Switch backlog. The wishlist is insane at the moment.
As much as I admire Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, I had so much more fun playing Link's Awakening on the Switch last winter. Plus, I appreciated how it actually had a good story. This all surprised me as well. I know that puts me in a very small minority. I may even replay Link's Awakening to take advantage of the Switch 2 performance improvements. It's up there with A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time for me.
I preordered it at the height of my tariff panic (I’m in the US). Was worried it was going to shoot up to $140 or something. Still, I’m not mad about my choice. It’ll be nice to have another controller, and the headphone jack will be really nice.

I don’t know… what’s the frame rate on this thing?

I just wish I had games to play... there definitely needs to be more games announced if Nintendo wants to succeed with its hardware.

Re: Surprise! Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade's Free Switch 2 Demo Is Now Live
@TomSupreme Especially since so many game cartridges still require downloading of patches, updates, etc. or (now) can't actually fit on a cartridge?

Re: Review: iMP Gaming Mini Arcade Pro - Turns Your Switch (Or Switch 2) Into A Bartop Cabinet
Glad that the artwork and font were mentioned. They put together this cool cabinet and then absolutely pooped the bed with that part.
Re: Best Zelda Games Of All Time
@fluggy I really couldn't get into Echoes either. It was so tedious. Stacking beds is right.

Re: Switch 2 Exclusive Yakuza 0: Director's Cut Gets An Extensive Overview Trailer
Haha. This trailer is great. The 800 number is also really funny. I've never played a Yakuza game before and this will be my first.
