Not necessarily the place for this, but then again can’t think where else to post this...
Unreal have just unveiled a game tech demo, running in a PS5, using the Unreal 4 Engine. It looks FANTASTIC - mind blowing the level of realism they’ve managed to achieve.
Anyway - if y’all get the chance, check it out - preferably on a big 4K screen. Utterly beautiful.
@graysoncharles I mean, a lot of games nowadays take ideas and whatnot from other games. But this is as unashamedly brazen a rip off as you could hope to imagine.
There’s taking ideas and reinterpreting them into a new idea, and then there’s straight, flat out rip-offs. This falls into the latter by the look of it.
@Randomname19 I get where you’re coming from. But people still get a level of excitement and human interaction from going to gaming conventions and seeing games unveiled for the first time - it’s that sense of togetherness and being able to share with others that we’re all missing out on in 2020.
@mesome713 yawn. Public events are (or were) part of what made life so exciting. Nothing quite like going to a special event, be it a sporting occasion, live concert or gaming convention over the years. No way would I prefer a world without those things for them love of the environment’.
@crudfish never quite got the differences in regional collectors editions. Thankfully, in England (well, Europe), we’ve been treated to some spectacular collectors editions over the years - my fave of recent times was Samus Returns, with its game boy cart inspired steelbook, art book, soundtrack CD, morph ball keyring, pin badge, and download code on the eShop for the original Metroid 2.
Absolutely glorious - just wish more collectors editions were given this much love.
@Razer that’s my biggest problem. Was looking at the Borderlands and Bioshock collections, and noticed the HUGE download sizes for each. Because of that, I’ll be looking at getting them on other consoles instead.
Have most of the ‘big’ ports (Skyrim, Witcher, Diablo, Dark Souls etc) for the Switch, but can’t justify collections that take that much data on a memory card that’s already steadily running out of space (51 physical games plus a handful of downloaded titles)
@Lordd_G he previously commented that Just Dance and 19.99 was great value, and that he’d love to see Madden on the Switch. Yet games like Street Fighter and Resident Evil are an issue to him for being the same?!
@Matthew010 the kid is a horrible little fanboy - don’t need to see stuff like that on here. My comments that he’d previously posted showed what double standards he has - derides games like Street Fighter and Resident Evil for unoriginality, yet backs games like Just Dance and Madden? I’m sorry, but it screams hypocrisy of the highest order.
@mesome713 ‘same old’ franchises, yet you’re happy to stick up for Nintendo, and happily back titles like Just Dance and Madden. You’re nothing short of a hypocrite.
Spent over fifty hours on the game so far and still have barely scratched the surface. I’m trying to save enough bells to pay off my home - on the 1,250,000 stage, before that final upgrade, and saved around half of this. Then the fun can begin!
@mesome713 Complains about Street Fighter being the same game, and then posts:
“ Madden would be sweet. The install base is big enough now. Madden on the go would be epic. I could play Madden while watching an NFL game or play while at the game. Or at work.”
@mesome713 “ No game has changed culture like Animal Crossing has this year. That's why it's easily best game ever made. Those jrpgs you mentioned are old and none really care for them. They bring nothing new to gaming. Just boring story games. People rather watch a movie or read a book.”
@Bunkerneath I hear you. As a physical collector (51 games at present), it irks the life out of me when they release games on a ‘half on cart, half download’ basis. Think the worst one for me was the Megaman Legacy collection - we all know the size of those games are minuscule - no download should be required whatsoever.
@carlos82 the holy trifecta for me growing up as a kid was Nintendo, Capcom and Konami.
To me, a good analogy would be this - you couldn’t consider yourself a true film aficionado if you only watch (for instance) sci fi films and no other genre. To be able to class yourself as a true fan of a medium of entertainment, be it music, movies, or video games, you have to expose yourself to all the different forms of said entertainment medium.
Variety is the spice of life - imagine limiting yourself to what you know only and never venturing outside of your comfort zone...
@mesome713 also, there have been six Smash games. Might want to check your facts before making a fool of yourself. Personally, don’t see how taking out a mode such as Subspace Emissary and replacing it with the spirits mode is an upgrade, but I suppose for a blind fanboy like yourself you can’t see any wrong in Nintendo.
@mesome713 you’re a pathetic little fanboy. You don’t play Street Fighter so you’re in NO position to say how the series has or hasn’t evolved. And as much as I love the Mario franchise, it’s funny how you haven’t mentioned the ‘new’ Super Mario Bros franchise all being the same.
Gamers like you are the absolute worst. See yourself out - we can all see you for the sad case you are.
@mesome713 ’amazing innovative take on the cute plumber’ 😂😂😂😂
Here’s the thing - you’re trying to trash talk Street Fighter without acknowledging that Smash, whilst evolving, has also pretty much stuck to the same formula. You can’t bash on franchise and stick up for the other when they’re in the same camp.
@mesome713 Quit being such a blind fanboy. I LOVE Nintendo IPs with a passion, but your ignorance is frankly bewildering. It’s very evident you haven’t played the games you’re trying to talk trash about.
@J-Plap I'm a sucker for the spirits; anything shiny and collectible like this in games and I instantly gravitate towards it. Pretty bummed out that I missed a few of the events, but the Tetris spirits recently returned so i'm hoping the rest follow suit soon.
@ViewtifulJotun it’s a bit of a pain as a physical game collector when there’s a great game out on digital only, and not knowing whether or not to wait for a possible physical release. The last game that ticked those boxes was Celeste. Had to wait an age to play that - totally worth it!
Playing My Friend Pedro (finally got my physical copy yesterday, as it’s not available in physical form in the U.K. and had to buy it), and a bit of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. Still not got round to buying Luigis Mansion 3, Dragon Quest XI or Pokemon Sword/Shield. Too many games!
@jswhitfield8 Not quite true - whilst the Champion Amiibo lasted longer than you'd normally expect something like this to go for, they were all sold out within 24 hours; the Mario Odyssey triple pack went in a few hours, max.
Not going to have the time to play this game for around two Years!!!!! (I have 8 chartered accountancy exams to study for, doing one every 3 months so do the math..) Irrespective of this, I've pre-ordered the limited edition simply because I don't want to have to pay double the price on eBay by the time I have enough free time to dedicate to an adventure this big. Now- the real test of character will be withholding from playing this for so long. Wish me luck!!
@mjc0961 Respectfully disagree. First and foremost, Nintendo games, for the main part, tend to be quality releases. I note that your comment takes in pre-orders in general, but there are exceptions when we know (or have a strong feeling) that the game is going to turn out great. Secondly, whilst the game itself won't sell out, the pre-order packs of the game/squid Amiibo quite possibly will sell out, hence the idea of a pre-order being a good idea in this instance. Hell; If people want to pre-order a game and use their own judgement, let them. If you don't like the notion of pre-orders, nobody is making you order said games...

Re: Nexomon: Extinction Is The Latest Monster-Catcher Hoping To Take On Pokémon
No thanks. Shamelessly ripping off Pokemon that much because they can’t come up with their own ideas? Doesn’t deserve to be a success in my opinion.

What’s up with female Nick Fury in the main image?

Looking forward to it! Have it on the Wii but never sank too much time into it. Was lucky enough to get the collectors edition too..

Looks like it has a ton more content to it than the travesty of that piano app reveal..

Meh. This isn’t ‘learning the piano’. For starters, the Switch doesn’t support multi touch inputs on its screen...

@mesome713 you’re trying to bash Capcom, yet posted on another article
“Heck yeah for Just Dance, game is amazing for 19.99”
Says all we need to know about you. You’re a clown.
Re: Capcom's Resident Evil Series Has Doubled The Lifetime Sales Of The Company's Former Champion
@mesome713 you’re beyond pathetic. This may be a Nintendo fan site, but there is NO place for people as biased as you are here.
Each Smash game barely tweaked the previous version, and the New Super Mario Bros series are the same game.
Hope to hell you’re not being serious with your comments.
