Re: Nintendo: "Appetite" For Mario Kart And Series' Accessibility Makes It Ideal For Switch 2's Launch

@stuie1234 I'm not surprised at all. Honestly, I've no idea why some people believe that game will do as well as Mario Kart World. Not going to lie, I completely forgot about Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds until I saw the game's name in your comment. It's the same with Sonic Superstars; for whatever reason, people thought that game would sell as well as Super Mario Bros. Wonder...

@SillyG Very, very few Sonic games are good, honestly. The original trilogy, CD, the Advanced trilogy, the Rush games, Heroes, Unleashed, Colors, and Generations are the only ones I've ever considered high in quality. Everything else is either garbage or something nobody's played. Compare that with Mario games, where a VERY good deal of them are best-sellers. Just look at how much of an impact Super Mario Bros. Wonder had in comparison to Sonic Superstars.

@AussieMcBucket Grand Theft Auto is too much for Nintendo, I think. There've been many Nintendo handheld ports, and the remastered version of the original trilogy can be bought for the first Switch. But with the amount of stuff Rockstar means to do with GTAVI? It's going to be too much for Nintendo to handle. Especially since the game's obviously going to get an M rating.

@jowy_sw This is when it gets to the point where you make a game of your own, I think. Continue to wait for these companies to make the game you want to play, and you're going to be waiting for the rest of your life. Fans of Rayman, for example, are going to be waiting pretty much for the rest of the lives for Ubisoft to make a "Rayman 4". And why do that to yourself when you can try to make your own game inspired by Rayman, instead?

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Pikmin (GameCube)

The North American/European one. The Japanese one falls in line with that country's habit of focusing on the cuteness, but it doesn't tell you what the game's about. If you never heard about Pikmin before and came across that, you'd just be confused. It's three nondescript creatures standing side-by-side in front of flowers, staring at you. That doesn't say anything about what the game entails.

The North American/European cover is much more dated due to the CGI (which is why they likely switched to clay sculptures later on, which are much more timeless), but it does a good job of telling you what the game's about: Olimar working with the Pikmin to combat the hostile wildlife of PNF-404. It's the perfect way to introduce someone who's never heard of this franchise before to it.
