I’m one of the unlucky ones with the brittle plastic shell on my launch model switch. There are no longer slats over the fan and the top corners of the back shell have snapped off entirely…it’s in rough shape to say the least lol so I decided to pre order since I primarily play in handheld mode. I agree that it’s definitely not enough of an upgrade for most but for me it was a no brainer 😁

This was a fantastic reimagining of an NES game I had as a kid. I played this with my son when he was quite young and we both absolutely loved it! He had a great time trying to figure out all the puzzles with me 😁 great memories! Will pick this up again for sure

Does anyone know when this is planned for release?? The preorder page says “winter 2022” towards the top of the page then “winter 2023” near the bottom?

I enjoyed the first two so I’ll pick this up if the price is right. Got 1&2 dirt cheap on an eshop sale and was pleasantly surprised. Just a fun little challenging pixel platformer, nothing too deep. Good stuff!

Cool now port Mother 3! Can’t say it’s too controversial now when you’re porting games where you can literally pay for services from a hooker and then kill said hooker, right Nintendo??

They can both coexist…no, Nintendo has nothing to worry about but I honestly hope the steam deck does well. Even if they do consider themselves in direct competition with each other, that’s a GOOD thing! A competitive market benefits the consumer after all so we should all want it to succeed.

Are we really all squabbling about the prices of video games?? Wow…come on guys, you’re better than this! Also, 60 dollars is the going price for new major release switch games regardless of content/completion time.

Are these people getting to their destinations and throwing their switches in a pile and struggling to find theirs when it’s time to leave? Maybe I’m overthinking it…

@bluemage1989 just keep clicking through the okay/continue button when the message pops up that it won’t download. I got it to work for the two games I tried downloading since the update…it’s an annoying process no doubt but it will work eventually. I had to keep clicking through and getting the error message like 5-10 times for each

For anyone who hasn’t yet updated, just wait. Like everyone else is saying though you can kinda just force it to download games by just hitting to okay/continue button over and over. It’s kind of a pain but I got it to download 2 different titles today that way

@ChromaticDracula it’s an odd way of wording “sequel” for sure, but that’s how they referred to other games with known sequels in the works. With how successful ritual of the night was he almost HAS to do a follow up at this point

Man, I share your frustration with this game never seeing a western release. I’ve been in love with the series since I rented Earthbound from blockbuster as a kid way back when! But at this point I doubt an official release will ever see the light of day outside Japan. Honestly, just download the rom/English patch and play it. The localization effort is extremely well done and is as good, if not better, than what Nintendo would do. I played it on my gba I modded with a backlit IPS screen using an everdrive and was quite an authentic feeling experience playing it on actual Nintendo hardware. I don’t know how anyone who wants to play it has held out this long though lol and in the unlikely event that Nintendo DOES release it, you can always buy it to support them.

Definitely getting cyber shadow! The Timothy game looks like Link to the Past and the price is right. Plus I’m a sucker for 2d Zelda clones. Really wanna get sally face but its a 3 dollar steam game they’re trying to sell for 15 on the switch...not cool

I’m definitely interested in this, looks like quite a trippy experience but WHY is it literally FIVE TIMES the price of the steam version?! Even with “switch tax” considered that’s ridiculous. Is there extra content/dlc included with the switch version?

@Severian that’s so weird cause it definitely just worked for me the same way it does for any other game I want to redownload...it downloaded and I played a few minutes to make sure. Are you using the America eshop or Europe? I’m in the states so maybe it’s still available here for some reason?
Edit: checked your profile and saw you’re in the Philippines so it’s gotta be the fact that we’re using different eshop regions. Maybe it got removed in your region before mine. That’s the only thing that would make any sense if we’re both doing the same thing and only I can access it...really strange though

So if you already purchased this and archived it, you can still get it. I bought it shortly after it was released and never redownloaded it after I upgraded my micro sd card. Anyway I just found the icon in my library and there’s still an option to download it. So it’s not gone completely. It’s nowhere to be found on the eshop for new purchases though. Hopefully they let you download the new one for free when it’s available like they did with the adventures of Elena temple

I actually like these Indie directs but I’m a sucker for a good indie game...what’s not to like? A great game at a much cheaper price than the going 50-60 dollar mark. I’ll take it! Like others have said, hopefully we get some news on Sports Story and Axiom Verge 2. Though extremely unlikely a surprise shadow drop of either of those would be welcome as well. I read elsewhere that Touhou Luna Nights is going to be released today but with no official announcement or eshop page my money is on this being the surprise “and it’s available later today!” Been wanting to check this one out so I’d be very okay with this

I really wanna like this game, but like the review said beware that it’s nowhere near optimized for the switch at this point. Long load times have been the least of my problems in my experience. If I even have this game running (even while the switch is in sleep mode) for more than an hour or 2 the program hard crashes and I lose all my progress. Which makes no sense cause I was saving quite often, sometimes with multiple save files. Seriously what a joke of a release. Getting tired of these half baked game releases with the “get it out there, fix it later” mentality. Wait till they decide to patch this mess.

Wow...all of you complaining about a basic MINOR day one patch need to get a grip. The games work fine with or without the patch. This is pretty normal in today’s day and age since they have the ability to make fixes post launch. Some people will find anything to complain about.

@dumedum but everyone immediately knows the type of game you’re talking about when you say “point and click”. Not the best name for it it but just like “metroidvania” it’s a term that has stuck. Adventure games is a bit ambiguous if you ask me but to each their own I suppose

I know, youre absolutely right Jaxon...it’s just infuriating that these people who are offended at the drop of a hat are so persistent in their vision of having it all be politically correct that everything has to suffer, including art and fictional stories or we must feel the wrath of these enraged snowflakes.

It’s all pixel art. Whatever implied child abuse, animal abuse, transgender/sexless race, or racism or whatever people are gonna whine about that scares them from releasing this game in its intended form is unfair. How can a 16 bit pixel game set in a fantasy world be offensive to anybody??

Or they could just not change anything and slap a Teen ESRB rating on it, or M for mature if they really wanna be ridiculous about it. Their mascot Mario is constantly eating psychoactive mushrooms and birdo is transgender and those games get E ratings and no one bats an eye. Where’s the controversy that makes this not able to get a western release??The majority of people who want mother 3 localized are all adults so put the stupid M rating on it if you must. Just sounds like a bad excuse or a completely baseless leak. You all know how accurate these Nintendo leakers are...

That headline should be “Come ON Nintendo 3ds...” not come IN Nintendo 3ds. That would be messy and most likely break your DS
