Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Pikmin 4

Uwii

@Qwiff It absolutely is.
Potential minor gameplay spoilers ahead...
I was a little sad when the credits rolled and felt the game was indeed a little too easy β€” but at that time I didn't know what was about to come! Might not be the hardest official Pikmin game but it sure ramps up quite well.
I would give that game – concidering post credit stuff – 98%. I cut 1% for enemies not respawning in the overworld after defeating them (the world seems empty then...) and 1% for other small stuff. Except that it's what all Pikmin-Fans could have dreamt of imho.

Re: Splatoon 3 Is Already The Best-Selling Video Game Of 2022 In Japan

Uwii

Nice. I was unsure to buy but got it last week and do not regret that decision (although I should have bought digital because I got lazy ...). The fact that you can "minimize" the News every time you start the game was worth the money! 🀣
Plus you can play SR when you want (except for server maintenance of course) convinced me. Overall the game experience is better. Good buy for me!

Re: Steve & Alex Are Getting Some New Friends In Minecraft's Next Big Update

Uwii

@BigE If I did, I am glad about that. The risk of not getting warm with MC is very low I think. MC has so much to offer for the players that nothing is set in stone what to do. Overall MC is a game that you can play as YOU like whatever any other is gonna tell you. If you want to fight monsters, go for it! If you want to collect resources, do it! If you just want to build something to calm down, you can do that too.
If you want to build kind of automatic things, redstone got you covered. Don't like the look of the vanilla game? There's plenty of texture packs (well, on Bedrock Edition on consoles that comes with a price though: money, but I think there are free texture packs as well but I don't know for sure).
Ah and the music of this game is very beautiful as well. Awesome game you can put thousands of hours into if you want. Ok ok ok, I'll stop here. Sorry, but I just love MC – which I woud have never believed I one day would. ^^

Sorry for off topic. But I'm very excited at the moment because of what is to come to the game very soon.^^

Re: Steve & Alex Are Getting Some New Friends In Minecraft's Next Big Update

Uwii

@BigE IMHO the opposit is the case. There is so much you can do in this game it is just ridiculous. Until 2018 (if I remember correctly) MC was absolutely uninteresting for me. A friend persuaded me to buy the game when it was on sale and the first few hours were not very interesting but after those I was totally in and never looked back until today. Never played a game that could keep me interested so long, not even any Mario game (and I am kinda hardcore Mario fan). From MY PERSPECTIVE Minecraft is absolutely worth its money once spend. Ah and I'm team Java btw. πŸ˜†

Re: Nintendo's Official Website Reveals Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope, Coming To Switch In 2022

Uwii

@MajorasLapdog The phenomenal music by Grant Kirkhope sure is a big deal that impacts gameplay experience overall. As a collector of more than 1000 movie (and some game) soundtracks (yep, the orchestrated ones) over the last 2 decades this album is in my top 25. The music really motivated me additionally while exploring this game.
Well, in conclusion I went from hater to fanboy as I now realize. ^^

Re: Rumour: Major Ubisoft Switch Exclusive Could Make An E3 Appearance

Uwii

@MS7000 Well, you sound the lite-version of myself before I bought it just because gold edition once was on a very good sale. I thought, from what I've seen from that game, what a mess and how could Nintendo ever do this to the Mario franchise. Yes, I was a hater. And I thought like you: Not my type of game.
Oh boy was I wrong... Actually it was the best game experience I had since I finally got my hands on StarCraft II back in 2010 (I was in love with StarCraft since 1999). To me Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is one of the best games the Nintendo Switch has to offer - even now. For me at least.

Re: Carrion's Controversial Nintendo Switch Menu Icon Has Been Changed

Uwii

@pip_muzz and when you once dive into the lore of Alien (the idea behind the movie and as well as the intentions of Hans Rudi Giger) you will even better unstand.

Edit: Oh sweet humor of life. Your nick name reminds me of the German word Piep Matz which means simply "bird" but has another more delicate meaning. Hilarious. xD

Re: Random: Fan Photoshops Masks Onto Every Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Character

Uwii

@Crimson_Ridley In some way it is, isn't it? Over-sensitive? Ah ok, now I understand. But it's more that English is not my mother tongue and I'm just too careful if I don't really understand what's the point or problem. But apperently:

@Classic603 Me neither. Sorry for confusion but I really don't understand what the reason may be behind asking one if he has a "weird tic" when it's just shortening a word? Honestly I don't like calling the whole topic "Covid" or "Corona", because Covid is the desease apperently and Corona is a beer... So let's start over freshly so I, as an English noob, can understand?

Re: Random: Fan Photoshops Masks Onto Every Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Character

Uwii

Graphically well done, has quite a quality. But now that one has done this I hope that's all. This c. situation is bad enough in real life. I don't need any of this in video games or franchises. No matter what opinion on the c. topic.

OT: Well done, now starts fighting here as well. Oh man...

Humanity won't become extinct by killer viruses but because of the hygiene. It's totally fine to have different opinions on the c. pandemic. I never understand why people discrespect others in general. Even less in this c. situation. Common sense is rare these days. Yes, I wear masks and keep distance. Because if there's only a small risk I could spread it I can take action by using masks and make sure distance. I do it for them. That is however not the point and most seem to not understand the real issue behind this mask and distance topic. Stop driving cars then nobody gets hurt in traffic.

Re: Old Star Wars Episode I: Racer N64 Glitch Still Works On Switch

Uwii

@Stocksy I feel you.

Oh boy would I LOVE a re-release of Diddy Kong Racing 64 on Switch!

Ok, sorry for OT.^^

As for Star Wars Racer, there is one thing I'd love they'd changed: Custom buttons. I think repairing has been on R-button on N64, but I don't know for sure, but I find it a little unpleasent that repair is on R-button on Switch. I use to have one finger on ZR and R. A little uncomfortable to press R for repair while trying to stay on gas.

Re: Old Star Wars Episode I: Racer N64 Glitch Still Works On Switch

Uwii

@Stocksy Absolutely true. Plus by experience through the last years or decades I came to the point where Iβ€˜d rather see some 1:1-re-releases even with "poor" graphics than some fancy remakes that are LESS than meets the eye! (Here Iβ€˜d like to mention Turtles in Time Remake... absolutely terrible compared to the original game, which still is on of my top 10 games ever created...)

Re: Old Star Wars Episode I: Racer N64 Glitch Still Works On Switch

Uwii

@impurekind I have a totally different opinion. As a player of the N64 version back in the days I am very glad that the re-release looks like the N64 game looked back then. This release is a great original-based release at least for me. I appreciate different opinions though.

Re: Star Wars Episode l: Racer Gets New Switch, PS4 Release Date

Uwii

@Kutal Oh boy this is the best suggestion I've heard for quite a while! Totally'd agree!
@ Topic: AT LONG LAST! I'm so hyped I can't remember when I was hyped like this before, was it MK8 coming to Wii U? Dunno. Oh Lord, thank you so much AspyrMedia! Take my money!

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 1.2.0 Is Now Live

Uwii

@NintendoFan4Lyf Thank you! But I already know that, nontheless thank you!
I played with this feature a little bit and I think it's great with a lot of possibilities built-in. But on the other hand I find it a little bit complicated and in my opinion it lacks better workaround in terms of cutting. As far I understood you can only press a to record while replay is running, press again so pause recording. and so on. No way to slide to specific part. Or I am too stupid to figure out.
Anyway, better than nothing of course.
And since I'm totally new to smash bros (tried former titles but didn't really understand gameplay so I quit playing) and now really want to learn the game, but am totally noob. That's why my only concern for this update was video capture. Would be nice to have to quickly record a funny moment though. Replay/Convert too complicated for me. Especially if you have to convert it before a new updates is coming. :/
So sorry for the off-topic and thanks for reading in patience. And thanks for replay buddy! β™₯ @NintendoFan4Lyf

Re: Talking Point: Should Nintendo Keep Releasing DLC For Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?

Uwii

Simply: YES, OF COURSE!
When MK8 came out on Wii U and I realised the new anti gravity ability, I drew this:
https://www.deviantart.com/lieracc/art/New-Mario-Kart-8-DLC-482277816
Unfortunately we won't ever see anything like it in the game because of copyright or something like this.
Also MK8 looks so nice, I can't even imagine how an MK9 would look, because MK8 looks ridiculously nice. I think MK8 is all true MK fans need, and Big N needs to push it to the limits by creating more DLC content on and on. How cool would that be one day having all retro tracks in MK8?
