Re: Final Fantasy Explorers Official Website Opens

Honestly, I'm more excited for Bravely Second. It feels more like a traditional Final Fantasy game to me than any current FF game. But considering what SE said about going back to it's roots a while ago, I'm hopeful that this game will be just as good as FF9 and X-2 (my favorites )

Also, is it just me or are these characters designs... Unimaginative? They look like typical RPG characters instead of the amazingly stylized FF characters I'm used to. Actually, the designs for Crystal Chronicles are my all time faves. I'd love to see a game with that style again!

I just downloaded this a few hours ago and haven't been able to stop playing since. I've created Link, Zelda and Mario so far, along with human-versions of my pets... Strange how well the personality thing works!

I'll be playing this game for a very long time

Re: Hyrule Warriors Is The Zelda Game That Eiji Aonuma Could Never Make Himself

This is exactly why I'm so excited for this game. For years Zelda fans have been asking for Nintendo to shake up the formula and that is exactly what is happening with this game. Even if it turns out not to be that great, it's still something different and I think I'll enjoy it even for that reason alone. And Impa looks so freaking badass. I can't wait to play as her!!

Re: Reaction: Mario Kart 8 Accused Of Poor Sales Potential, Ruining Battle Mode And Racism

User1988

While I do think that diversity is always good, the Mario franchise is, what, 25-30 years old right? Nintendo is known for putting their already established characters into new and remade games. Yes, they could create new characters in the Mario world, but most of them aren't human anyway.

And who even plays battle mode? I've owned every Mario Kart to date and have never even taken a second look at it. It's all about the racing to me.

I won't even go into sales numbers.

Re: Nintendo's Plan for "Redefining the Definition of Video Game Platforms" Around Two Years Away

As the article stated, the Wii U was announced a year before release. Just because they think they will be announcing this new hardware in a couple years doesn't mean they're giving up on the Wii U. Iwata even stated above that customers can't be happy with future hardware unless they're happy with current hardware. They're not abandoning anything. The Wii U could get a 5-6 year lifespan still.

Re: Talking Point: What We Want To See From Nintendo's Next Handheld

User1988

All I want is for Nintendo to get rid of region-lock completely, offer Japanese games on the NA and NOE eShops, and more powerful graphics capabilities all at a reasonable price. I don't really care about HD screens since the screens we have are so small, as long as they're like 720p I'd be happy.

Re: Nintendo Lifts The Lid On Its Plans For E3 2014

@DestinyMan I agree, Ninty is KNOWN for being secretive about their games. Just because they're focusing on Smash doesn't mean that's all they have to offer, it means that they don't want us to know about their other stuff yet. I think we've got some awesome announcements coming!

Re: Review: Mario Golf: World Tour (3DS)

User1988

I'm not a fan of golf at all. But in the video review that @Grumblevolcano posted, the reviewer gave me the impression that it was more of a puzzle game than actual golf outside of the Castle Club mode. And I LOVE puzzle games! So I'm definitely going to try the demo and possibly pick this one up soon.

Re: GameStop Plans to Close Around 120 Stores in the Coming Year

User1988

Yikes, lots of hate in these comments. The GameStop near me is full of very knowledgeable employees who are always friendly and excited to help me find what I need or order something for me if they don't have it. I don't follow the franchise's business model so I don't really know if it's a "good" company or not, but I'd hate to see the employees at my local store lose their jobs. It's the only one in town.

Re: The Denpa Men 3: The Rise of Digitoll Hits North America and Europe on 8th May

I spent hours and hours playing the first Denpamen but towards the end I got a little tired of the repetitiveness. This just seems like a HUGE step up from both 1 and 2 and I can see myself playing this just as much, if not more than, a regular retail game from Ninty!

I mean seriously, you can decorate the Denpamen's houses?! It's like they incorporated my favorite part of Animal Crossing into this game

Re: Yo-kai Watch Returns to the Japanese Chart Summit as Hardware Sales Dip Again

User1988

Yikes, those are some rough numbers for Ninty. But honestly, I'm just excited for what they'll come up with next. After the Game Cube flopped they came out with these awesome motion controls and sold tons and tons of Wiis. It seems like with the Wii U they were just trying to ride on the success of the Wii instead of trying for something really new and exciting. So I have a feeling that they're putting on their creative caps and will come out with something super innovative next gen. And then Sony and Microsoft will be copying Nintendo again!

Re: First Impressions: Tomodachi Life

I'm definitely getting this one and possibly buying it for my cousin, who loves Animal Crossing and more "casual" 3DS games. It will be so much fun to swap screen shots with her of our Mii's doing crazy stuff!
