Re: Poll: Would You Buy Grand Theft Auto V On Wii U?

Tysamu

Yeah of course I would. The Gamepad's extra screen would be a godsend for this type of game if used properly. You could use it to watch the other two characters while playing as one, streamline weapon selection, stats, a larger map and etc

Re: Talking Point: Gamescom Announcements Raise the Stakes for the Wii U and 3DS

Tysamu

Times like this, I wish Ninten didn't underestimate how long it would take to develop HD games but I'll be honest, there's nothing all that appealing to me about the other systems due to all that appears to be boosted is each systems' ability to produce better more realistic graphics and definite detail.

I guess this is because I've been spoiled by Ninten's methods of unique ways around the traditional control and gameplay methods; which is something that I keep expecting from the other systems..

Re: Former Nintendo Marketing Specialist Sheds Light on Smash Bros. as a "Dangerous" Brand at EVO

Tysamu

That was... pretty clear, never thought of it that way with both the U/GC and smash bros. It's good to hear from an ex-big wig's perspective when it's not biased.

His perspectives on Smash bros can go doubly for LoZ or Pkmn titles and even Metroid as I've heard a number of people state that they aren't gonna buy a Ninten system unless those specific titles are crafted for the system.

Re: Talking Point: Wii U and Third-Party Inconsistencies Pose Questions for Console Owners

Tysamu

Here's where I stand: Third party games that do come to the Wii U, I'll get AS long as they only lack one feature that isn't of much significance to me. Any other third parties that are on other consoles, I'll get for the PS4 (when I can afford one).

If third parties keep expecting low sales then they should step up their game to show why it should be worth buying on a Ninten system. Ninten is known for innovation and content so they [third parties] should do the same for the system. You can't just make a generic port and expect it to sell on a Ninten system; that's like trying to mix oil and water.

Re: Capcom Employee Outlines Details on Mega Man Legends 3 Cancellation

Tysamu

"But MML has always been a passion project, not a cash cow. Hence the Devroom angle." Every game should get that kind of treatment. All games should be treated as passion projects and Devs should always remain in touch with their fans so they've some idea of what the fans tastes are.

As far as not knowing about it or not... Yeah I would've liked to known about it. I'd rather have closure on something knowing that it was cancelled than rather to have not known why it never happened or never released to begin with. To constantly wait for something that never comes is nearly unbearable in the long run.

Re: Nintendo Finally Confirms Call of Duty: Ghosts Is Coming To Wii U

Tysamu

-sigh of relief- hopefully this'll drive some sells for the system. I'm gonna support the third-party and get this. I'm hoping that they put time and effort into making this the most unique of all of them; if not they make great use of the gamepad as well as make the system look good in performance.

Re: Poll: How Important is Dual / Second Screen Gaming?

Tysamu

It has quite a number of potential uses, as well as gameplay changes, and perspectives; it's just a shame that it isn't used the way it should be. They've got two perfect examples: ZombiU and NintendoLand, yet they don't take inspiration or any ideas from those two games... -sigh-

Re: Nintendo - Donkey Kong Series is Adaptable to Fresh Ideas

Tysamu

it's weird looking at the Kongs then looking at the environments; they both differ significantly to me. The Kongs are pretty detailed; especially since you can see the fibers of their fur close up but then you get to the environments and they look as though they could've been done with the wii's power.

Re: First Impressions: Yoshi's New Island

Tysamu

I was a bit let down when I saw a couple of gameplay videos of this game. It felt a bit too bland and generic for the title. What I liked about the Original was the challenge (I haven't played any others afterward except for the GBA remake). Whoever was the development team behind the first needs to be developing this one instead of the current dev team.

Re: The Pokémon Company Lays Down The Law On Cheaters

Tysamu

I feel sorry for Cheaters honestly. It's as though they have such little belief in their own skill that they'll resort to dishonest means just to be better than to actually properly train and take advantage of EV training. God I hate cheaters.

Re: Time: Nintendo Is "Stumped" By The Wii U GamePad And Should Ditch It

Tysamu

iMii's quote fits this situation "Nintendo is also in a terrible position at E3, for a roughly similar reason: Everyone who loves Nintendo think they know what’s best for Nintendo, and they get frustratedvery easily. If Nintendo does something radically new and different and weird — motion gaming with the Wii, the tablet control of the Wii U — people complain that Nintendo is violating itslegacy of greatold-school gameplay. If Nintendo shrugs and says, fine, here’sa brand-newMario game or a brand-new Zelda sequel, people complain that Nintendo is resting on its laurels and violating its legacy of pushing the boundaries of gameplay."

Re: First Impressions: Mario Kart 8

Tysamu

I honestly still can't get over how beautiful, crisp, the game looks. It's as though we've walked into a new realm with this game; cinematic animated movie graphics lol

Re: First Impressions: Super Mario 3D World

Tysamu

Honestly I don't really understand all the negativity. There's still much too little we know about this game aside from the few levels we've seen. For one, what's the story? (Peach isn't kidnapped this time) Two, this 3D Mario will most likely follow suit and have an interesting hub world; and if what Nintendo said is correct "A mario game that you've never seen before" there's a chance that both the hub world and story will surprise us. Now I could be wrong but considering that this game has an un-kidnapped princess, and "World" in the game's title, we're in for a ride.
