OK, haven´t played FF3! But I do like the Real Bout games. Of course Fatal Fury is just one example, others being World Heroes 1, Art of Fighting 1, and perhaps Samurai Shodown 1 (since SS2 is better).

Yup, reminds me of Wild Guns. Could be good!

Still, some of the late 90´s games aren´t larger than the first ones, so it should be perfectly possible to release them instead of the next sequel in a series of 5-9 games...

@Zinjak: Yeah, the goal should not be "less fighting, more shooting" but "less ancient titles, more good games". Neo Geo has a great deal of quality titles, but SNK Playmore has been keen on releasing the sequels of old games one at a time. We really don´t need Fatal Fury 2 when Special exists. And frankly, the series became good for real when the "Real Bout" games came along. So if SNK Playmore really wants us to be interested in their older games, they should bring in some of the best titles instead of being so focused on chronology. And yeah I bought Ironclad and it´s good.

I always thought Blazing Star and Viewpoint looked incredible on screenshots. I want to get my hands on Twinkle Star Sprites as well, but I´m considering the Saturn version.

Love Reign Oér Me is a possible stunner, as well as Quadrophenia and The Rock... But well, Pink Floyd translates very good to 8-bit, I doubt the rocksound of Who would survive...

This is very good. One of the best NES-adaptions I´ve heared. I´ve always prefered "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" and "Wish You Were Here", but this is well worth listening. Impressive.

@Vinsanity: Yes, Metal Gear 2 is officially translated... as a bonus on PS2 game MGS3: Subsistence. So no need for fan translations. The problem would of course be that bit about altering the code... We will probably not see it on VC.

AAAAH! It´s Waku Waku 7! It´s an adorable fightinggame... I have the Saturn version which suffers from loading between rounds. I´d buy the VC version too!

And seriously, Nintendo´s got the tallent to make a new Kid Icarus great. A mix of linear levels and exploring, archery-action and a limited flight... I´d definitly buy it.

And the old Kid Icarus is still great, it´s not even as hard as most people think. Just learn how to complete the first 2 levels, draw a map of the dungeons, and the rest will be a piece of cake!

Go get Ironclad, of course a doublewinged Fokker is the craft of choice when it comes to blastning robots!

A Kid Icarus would be VERY interesting! Since generations have passed since the GB sequel I´d expect some nice improvements in both gameplay and graphics. I´d probably buy it, my dream would be a new adventure in a Greek mythology setting for Wii.

Ironclad is definitly my buy here. "with more classics appearing in Europe for the first time, including" doesn´t exclude the possiblity that a few more games will come, but yeah, probably not as many as earlier Hanabis. Still hope for OB64.

Personally I think the controls sound interseting in a good way. Shooting enemies at a higher altitude shouldn´t be much of a problem, you´ll just jump and shoot just like in the old games. and if it´s on a too high platform, you aim and shoot. I´m very excited about this one! Although Samus should have brown hair like in the NES ending ^^

Anyway, it´s not a very long wait.

I didn´t like NES Blaster Masters grey enemydesign, this actually looks better for me. I´ll get the EU version when it comes around.

Quarth is THE. BEST. PUZZLER. EVER. No kidding. The crossbreed between tetris & shoot ém up is brilliant, and it has a great soundtrack as well as a variety of vs and co-op modes. Co-op is a blast.

@ StarBoy 91: I think Revenge of Shinobi is extremely difficult. I´ve beaten the first 4 stages of Shadow Dancer, so the game ranks somewhere between SIII & RoS when it comes to challenge. I love this game by the way, more of a "stupid 80´s arcade" feeling than regular Shinobi´s, but I prefer it over RoS. The dog is cute.

Parodius for MSX is lots of fun! The insanity-level is high, and you get to play as the Knightmare-knight as well as Goemon. One of the best MSX1 shooters.

I bet it´s a terrible piece, but I´m disappointed Nintendo won´t let fans make a tribute. However bad it may be.

Definitly not in Sweden. Since VC was introduced, the interest for "retro" games have rocketed. Collectors are battling like mad over incomplete carts, especially PAL games released by official swedish distrubutor Bergsala.

No! I want badass bosses like Gutsman, Heatman and Snakeman! Not "crazy" stuff. The development team obviously take the ir task lightheartedly.

But anyway, I love Mega Man 9 (and I haven´t finished it) and I hope this will be as good as that game.

About time we got some Sunsoft games. Ufouria is brilliant, hopefully it will come some day. Mr. Gimmick would be awesome, especially since the cart sells for about 200 euro... and that´s just the cart without box.

Alpha 2 for SNES was pretty disappointing for me, the graphics are simplified in a way that makes it look worse than the regular SFII titles. Ports for PS, Satirn and PS2 are way better.

Rayman 1 could be kind of fun, but I won´t buy a DSi anyway

MSX had some superb games!
Space Manbow is a awesome shooter, Parodius is not the same game as on other consoles, Contra has loads of (short) unique levels on MSX, and Quarth is the best puzzle game ever, period.

Oh no, they kept the shooting whip. I always thought that was a stupid element in the original GB game. Apart from that, this looks pretty good.

@P.D4NG3R Zombies is awesome. It´s very good when playing alone, and adds even more fun when playing co-op. I believe it can be easier to clear stages on your own sometimes since you get all the health and weapon power ups, but I´ve spent most of my time in 2 player mode.

Strange. Why would Nintendo want to introduce a screensize that´s not compatible with their current games? This DSi would cannibalize on their own DS market. Sure you could have black borders on the sides when playing regular games (os gasp stretch it) but that would look pretty bad. The bigger problem would be newly developed games that wouldn´t be compatible with the DSi console people bought this very year. I´m sceptical.

New Bonk has a way better graphic style than the Adventure Islands remake! Better than the upcoming Sparkster remake too... I´ll buy this.

Castlevania Adventure: Rebirth is clearly not just a graphical update. It seems to borrow elements from other games, like the subweapons.

Gaah! This looks a lot better than the original "Stage 2"! I wonder if it will be only 4 stages like the GB game. Since this looks nothing like GB stage 2 and features the boss from stage 1, it should be pretty safe to say they´ve changed things around a lot. That´s good news.
