Not even Nintendo wants to put games on the Wii U because they know it won't turn a profit! Is this for real? I'm surprised other gaming sites haven't pounced on this story, this is easily the most damning thing yet said about the Wii U.
What a disaster. One wonders what (if any) decent Nintendo console will emerge from the smoldering wreckage of Wii U in 2016.
Been saving some funds from a eShop card specifically for this. Really, really hope it's good. Starship Damrey was awful, so at least it has an easy act to follow.
I remember a few months ago, there was a post about a trade show here where some industry insider had said that there was a 3rd party title on the Wii U that Nintendo had hoped would sell millions; to that point it was only in the tens of thousands. Many were guessing Mass Effect 3, no, it was ZombiU.
A good barometer of how well a game has sold on the Wii U is how many posts are in it's Miiverse community. Nearly a year later, ZombiU has not cracked 100k. This game, a unique project designed exclusively for Wii U, is living proof of the 3rd party complaint that Nintendo fans buy Mario and nothing else on Nintendo hardware.
I thought NintendoLife was extremely generous with its score for Starship Damrey, which I found to be a very repetitive and dull hallway-crawler, but a great cure for insomnia. So to see this leads me to believe Bugs vs. Tanks is either better than the score given here, or Guild02 is seriously inferior to Guild01.
I'm still hopeful, however, for Attack of the Friday Monsters (?), which has a great premise, at least.
Well, that at least went a lot better than the last time Reggie brought the U on this show, where Fallon seemed clueless to it being any different from the Wii.
People always say, "Nintendo should just do software for other companies". Ok...so while I think there could be a market for Mario on mobile devices, does anyone really think the dudebros who own Xbox 360s are going to buy the latest Mario Sunshine or whatever simply because its now "available" to them? Hell,no. If they wanted that, they would have bought Nintendo hardware in the first place.
After seeing their "reveals" in last Tuesday's Direct, I completely understand now why Nintendo did not have a live presentation at E3.
Also, you have to wonder what reaction to Sony's E3 would have been had they not taken their moment to humiliate Microsoft. Frankly, none of what they showed game-wise was terribly inspiring, and almost all of it is multiplat. It just goes to show; tell nerds what they want to hear, and they will be eating out of your hand.
FIFA bombed on the Wii U. Black Ops 2 Wii U was surely the lowest-selling version of that game. So how exactly would 90% of Wii U owners even remotely care about playing those games?
I don't understand why NintendoLife keeps giving this guy a platform, literally everything ever posted by him about Nintendo is negative doomsayery.
CHALLENGE MODE: post a Pachter quote/interview/article where he offers his expert analysis on how the Xbox One is on it's way to being an abject failure, before it even launches.
So I never got Iwata, and I'm not receiving these, either. I get Streetpassed by 'normal' people often, my 3DS is connected to the net, and I have Spotpass turned on. Why am I not receiving these?
Good. It was a terrible idea from the start to offer two new consoles called "Wii" anything while having one look aesthetically very, very similar to the old Wii.
$299 Deluxe model incoming after E3, and hopefully they scrap the white one entirely in the US. This system has an indentity crisis in America and little things like that white color have not helped.
Strange that he says "we included everything we always wanted to", as its actually missing a few earmarks of the series--the ballista, fog of war, the monsters from Sacred Stones--but it's a great game without that stuff.
Maybe Intelligent Systems are now at work on a Wii U Fire Emblem. I hope so, anyway

Re: Phil Fish: Animal Crossing: New Leaf Not Having Microtransactions is "So Special And Precious"
Sounds like smug a-hole sarcasm.

Re: Hands On: The Wonderful 101
Cannot wait for this game. It looks wonderful, every Wii U owner should support it.

Finally!!!!! No more 2nd posts just to say two more words!

Re: Iwata: We Are To Blame For Poor Wii U Sales
Wii U 32gig version, BLACK, with NintendoLand downloaded to the system, and a Pro controller, $299.
They sold the ZombiU bundle for less, with a physical game included.

Re: Steel Diver Will Be Nintendo's First Free-To-Play Game
Steel Diver would actually be perfect for Wii U. The touchscreen controls on the Gamepad, with the sub action on the TV? Sign me up.

@RainbowGazelle RAAAAAAGGGGEEEEEEE
Yes, that was it. What a sneaky hidden setting! Anyway, I just got them. Thanks for your help.

Re: Retro Chose Donkey Kong Over Metroid as Its First Wii U Title
Hands-down, the biggest disappointment in an extremely disappointing Direct. You dun goofed, Retro!
Re: Satoru Iwata's Mii Respectfully Asks To Infiltrate Your 3DS
Had it on sleep, browsed eShop, played Mario Kart 7. No Iwata. I feel so left out.

Re: Pachter Predicts Wii U Price Cut, Feels Nintendo Is Losing "Non-Traditional" Players To Social And Mobile
Maybe when the xbone (this guy's pick for Gen 8 champion) fails miserably, people will finally stop listening to his "expert analysis".
Also: does he seriously believe console sales will improve for everyone BUT Nintendo? What a maroon..
Re: Get Excited, Nintendo's E3 Site Is Out In The Wild
Really hope Nintendo has something exciting to show, and outside of the usual Mario/Zelda/Metroid fare.
Re: Rumour: Retro's Wii U Title Is An Entirely New IP
Glad it's not Metroid (probably will be anyway), mildly disappointed its not that Mach Rider reboot, body is ready for whatever it is.
Re: Need For Speed Rivals Not Screeching Onto Wii U
I read someplace that Most Wanted U had sold 6,000 copies the entire month of April. So yeah, not surprising.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Thirteen
Fire Emblem Awakening (3DS) - maxing out my team to unleash on unsuspecting StreetPass-ers.
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker (PSP)
Valkyria Chronicles II (PSP) - haven't started this yet, but I plan to over the weekend.
Re: Consumers Go Crazy For Wii U Following Xbox One Reveal
Positive Nintendo-related news on a Nintendo-related news site, nice change of pace.
