@GraveLordXD I've never heard anyone complain about Tomb of the Giants before so that ones a little odd to me. I like Tomb of the Giants. And as far as Lost Izalith goes, it's one poor area in a sea of well designed areas. It seems a little odd to complain about DS1's level design as a whole based off of one area. But to each their own
@GraveLordXD The biggest problem with 3 is not "bad" level design per say but very linear level design. It's pretty lackluster compared to DS1's sprawling interconnecting world. Other than that though DS3 is a pretty worth while sequel. It just sucks that the Switch probably couldn't handle it, not without major compromises anyway
I was pleasantly surprised to find out this game was getting a physical release at first. Until I realized that not only does it cost more than the digital version but the Switch version costs an additional $5 more than other physical versions, lol.
On top of that Okami for Switch isnt getting a physical release at all in the West despite having one on ps4 and Xbone. Apparently owning physical games on Switch just isnt meant to be 😢
The reason Splatoon 2's motion controls feel "smoother" is because of the FPS. 60 fps is naturally going to feel smoother than 30, thats a given. But that doesnt mean Fortnite's motion controls are worse by any means.
Honestly, Splatoon 2 is the one that could learn from Fortnite. Not the other way around. Fortnite offers more control customization options and has better friend connectivity options too. Why is "Team Turfwar" not an option? Oh wait, gotta save that game mode exclusively for Splatfests for some reason. And don't even get me started on Salmon Run. Lol
Don't get me wrong I love Splatoon as much as the next guy but if you stop and look at these games objectively, you'll see that Fortnite is hands down the superior multiplayer experience
@geshem You should try upgrading your nail at the nailsmith and also equip different charms. Some times switching around my charms was enough for me to get through a boss I was having trouble with.
Also due to the open ended nature of the game there's nothing stopping you from leaving that boss and coming back to it later once you have better equipment.
I haven't been able to put Hollow Knight down since I bought it.
It's picking up the slack left by Celeste. I found Celeste to be wayyy over hyped and I was left disappointed. Hollow Knight on the other hand is tough but fair, has an amazing art style, great soundtrack, tons of content, and it's all for just $15.
An N64 Classic without Conker, Banjo, Diddy Kong Racing, Perfect Dark, or Golden Eye is really no N64 Classic at all. So even if this is real, It definitely wont be worth owning unfortunately
These people in the comments freaking out over "The reviewer being entitled to their own opinion" are probably the same people that DDoS attacked the Jimquistion when he gave Breath of the Wild a 7 lol.
But in all seriousness, yes, of course the reviewer is entitled to their own opinion. That goes without saying. However, that doesn't relinquish said reviewer from any form of criticism himself or of the responsibility of a fair review.
What if someone gave The Witcher 3 a 1 out of 10? Would you say that's a good review simply because the critic is entitled to their opinion? I know I wouldn't. I would argue that person probably has poor taste, and I would suggest others to disregard that review.
What I'm trying to get to here is: Don't let this review scare you away from playing Little Nightmares. Little Nightmares is a really neat game that more people need to experience. We need more games like this, so when one comes around we should probably try to support it
Dark Souls is my absolute favorite game of all time. I've put well over 500 hours into it spread across multiple platforms and the fact that this port has me excited to jump back in even after all that speaks volumes to how timeless this game is.
Dark Souls 2 and 3 kind of left a sour taste in my mouth, they were good but not quite the masterpiece DS1 is. This is absolutely the best place to jump into for newcomers. And as far as the difficulty goes.....well, git gud.
@Tarvaax That is true, I'll give you that. BotW story takes a backseat intentionally so that the open world and the gameplay can shine more brilliantly. But that doesn't at all excuse Nintendo's poor choices in marketing the game. They could have focused more on the world and gameplay aspects, and less so on the story in the trailers. I'm sure less people would have felt mislead.
@Tarvaax I'm fine with criticism but complaining that Breath of the Wild isn't like past Zelda games comes off as counterintuitive. That's the entire point of Breath of the Wild, to break past conventions, to move the series forward in a new direction. If you don't get that then maybe the game just isn't for you. But don't act surprised when people disagree with you when you are upset that BotW isn't what YOU want out of a Zelda game. If you want it to be like the classics then I suggest you maybe play those instead
@Tarvaax And you shouldn't be knocking a game for not being like past games in the series. When that said game is specifically trying to break past conventions of a series that have long been stale. Yet here we are.
@Galenmereth You don't have to "yield" those elements as subjective but that doesnt change the fact that they are. You say you won't argue that YL has no merit yet your words suggest otherwise. Both games can be good in their own right. One doesnt have to be good at the expense of the other. Gamers are always very polarizing in their opinions, everything has to be compared to those around it and I dont really understand why it has to be this way. If you stop comparing every game you play to your personal favorites you'll enjoy them a lot more.
@Galenmereth Odyssey is worse in terms of graphical fidelity and resolution in both handheld and tv mode. Also Odyssey is less challenging, has more but much smaller and basic levels. Mario isnt better than YL in every category, they both have thier own strengths and weaknesses. Stop making out Odyssey to be better than it is

Re: Rumour: Dark Souls II Now In Development For Nintendo Switch
@GraveLordXD It's an underground tomb where there's no light...of course it's going to be dark lol. It would be weirder if it wasn't!

Re: Rumour: Dark Souls II Now In Development For Nintendo Switch
Dark Souls 2 is the worst game in the series. Switch owners are better off giving this one a pass if the rumors are to be believed
Re: Praise The Sun! Dark Souls: Remastered On Switch Has A Confirmed Release Date
@hirokun The Remaster might be a worse option on PC but on Console this is far and away the best version
Re: Team Cherry Changes Title Of Final Hollow Knight Content Pack Due To Name Clash
@chiptoon A 5 hour metroidvania? Lol I think you're playing the wrong genre m8
Re: Team Cherry Changes Title Of Final Hollow Knight Content Pack Due To Name Clash
@RailX Hollow Knight is hands down a better game than Dead Cells lmao
Re: Praise The Sun! Dark Souls: Remastered On Switch Has A Confirmed Release Date
October is the best month in summer

Re: Soapbox: Fortnite's Motion Controls Leave a Lot to Be Desired
@roadrunner343 yeah, I guess you're right
Re: Soapbox: Fortnite's Motion Controls Leave a Lot to Be Desired
@roadrunner343 Aiming options are directly related to motion controls. That's about as relevant as you can get. Lol
The friend connectivity issues? Eh, not so much. But I do feel these issues are worth addressing (relevant to the article or not)

Re: Japanese Players Vote Hollow Knight As The Most Recommended Digital Switch Game This Month
@Pazuzu666 Well hey man, that's like your opinion
Re: Japanese Players Vote Hollow Knight As The Most Recommended Digital Switch Game This Month
Glad to see that Japanese gamers have better taste than American ones. Afterall, Yooka Laylee is a criminally underrated game
Re: Random: Amazon Doesn't Seem Too Confident On Dark Souls: Remastered's Switch Release

Re: Guide: Hollow Knight 100% Completion Walkthrough
@the_beaver Dropping your currency at the spot where you died is VERY Dark Souls-like. Other than that though it's much more metroidvania

Re: Hollow Knight Sold Over A Quarter Of A Million Copies On Switch In Two Weeks
@LUIGITORNADO That's a horrible reason not to experience one of the best games (if not the best game) on Switch

@the_beaver Be careful when discussing review scores on this site. The Opinion Nazis will come out of the woodwork
Re: Review: Hollow Knight (Switch eShop)
@Dissident I'd say it's on par with Breath of the Wild, and definitely better than Mario Odyssey.

Re: Review: Little Nightmares: Complete Edition (Switch)

Terrible review. This game is easily an 8, It just sounds like this guy has an axe to grind.

Release date?!
Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo Switch Retail Games of 2018
It's sad that the Switch game I'm most excited for is a bloody port. Nintendo needs to step up their game for 2018.
Re: Dark Souls: Remastered Won’t Feature Cross-Platform Play
In other news: Shadow of the Colossus remastered will not have VR support.
Lol. Does this really even qualify as news? Kind of a no-brainer.
