@Julien This might sound crazy. But maybe, maybe NL simply enjoyed the game and awarded it an 8. I know it's crazy to think people out there might actually have opinions that differ from the mass majority
@geox30 You're supposed to pay the same amount for optimization? Just because the PS4 version is currently discounted does not mean you're paying "more" for the Switch version. You're paying the standard amount
@Dang69 So you're arguing that if enough people collectively have the same opinion, that opinion suddenly becomes fact? Am I reading that right? Oh dear.....
@Dang69 Yes, my avatar somehow makes my points less valid. Well said friend, well said. Games shouldn't be priced based on their quality. Thats absurd. A games quality is 100% subjective. One mans trash is another mans treasure. Otherwise metacritic would determine the price of every video game. Do you really want that?
@Dang69 I mean yeah, you can. You can do a great many things. But that doesn't mean you should. There is well over $40 of content in Yooka Laylee. Why you think youre entitled to have access to that content for less money is beyond me
@Dang69 Gamers complain that they want 3rd party games on Nintendo platfroms. They get the 3rd party games they wanted on said Nintendo platform and now they complain the games are too expensive, they need to be cheaper. And you wonder why Nintendo has a hard time getting 3rd party support. There's no winning for these developers, Nintendo fans arent pleasable. They're entitled and think they deserve everything. I'll tell you right now, Yooka Laylee for $40 is a way, WAY better deal than 1-2 Switch for $50. And a better deal than ARMS for $60
I'm not really sure what everyone was expecting. Of course this port was going to be $40, all the other versions were $40 at launch. Games arent made or ported to other platforms for free, porting this game to Switch took man hours. And from what we know it took quite a few man hours because Playtonic had a difficult time trying to get Yooka Laylee to even run on Switch. After all that extra development time to get this thing up and running on Switch theres no way they were going to charge less than $40, its not a reasonable thing to ask
@LUIGITORNADO You could say that about literally any game that isnt primarily focused on story. Super Mario Odyssey is just the same old plot of Bowser capturing Peach and Marios gotta go rescue her again, buuuut the gameplay is fun and is what really ma- "NO. Thats just a poor excuse for having a bad story!" Could the story be a little more fleshed out in BotW? Sure, why not. But at the end of the day you gotta ask yourself, would it actually make the game "better"? Or are you complaining simply to complain
@LUIGITORNADO BotW really isn't about the story. Its about the gameplay and the overall "open air" feel, hence the name. I feel like this point is lost on most people
I'm only gonna be playing South Park: the Fractured Anus until that's finished. Debating on whether or not to give Sonic Forces a shot afterwards, other than that I've pretty much played everything I wanted to this year. I'm ready for you 2018
@link3710 I actually think the opposite is true. Most critics glaze over things like framerate issues, micro transactions and the like. And I've seen NintendoLife source a good number of their articles to Twitter so apparently more people use it than you think
@link3710 Except for places like Reddit, Twitter, Neoga....er, mostly Reddit and Twitter. The gaming community is among the most vocal out there. If theres issues with Yooka Laylee on Switch, you'll definitely know
I'm seeing a lot of comments like "I'll wait for the reviews". You people need to make up your own minds. Don't let critics determine if you enjoy a game or not, come to your conclusions sheeple

Re: DLC Review: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - The Champions' Ballad + Expansion Pass
Haven't finished it yet, but so far this is a pretty disappointing end cap to 2017's game of the year.
Re: Yooka-Laylee's Nintendo Switch eShop Price Is Revealed
@Dang69 You seem upset
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wins Game of the Year at The Game Awards
Well deserved. All the nominees were great but Zelda is in a league of it's own. Also, where is LUIGITORNADO? Someone tag that guy!

@Dang69 What you just said literally makes no sense lol. You're just trying to make yourself not sound like an entitled gamer, which you are

@LUIGITORNADO Two wrongs indeed make a right
Re: Video: Digital Foundry Gives Its Tech Analysis for Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Xenoblade's amazing story allows me to overlook any technical shortcomings the game may have.
Re: Zelda: Breath of the Wild Broadcast Confirmed for Japan on 12th December
@LUIGITORNADO I sound like a blind apologist for prefering game design over storytelling....Lol. Now who's the one throwing around lazy accusations?

Re: Review: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch)
I put around 10 hours into the original Xenoblade and idk why but I just couldn't get into it. This is definitely a hard pass for me

@link3710 That's a fair point. But I would also argue that most critics aren't really all that reliable. No one knows you better than yourself
Re: Poll: Have Your Say on the Best Main Series 3D Mario and Zelda Games
The only thing this poll determined is that there are far more Zelda fanboys out there than there are Mario ones

Re: Feature: Yooka-Laylee Jumps Onto Switch in December - We Learn All About It
@Nintendoforlife Yooka Laylee's greatest sin was not having "Mario" in the title

This game would be better if it wasn't on Switch.
