@jtmnm The music and sound effects in the demo were ripped from the genesis games and were placeholders; we were told implicitly it wasn't final, and it was the main reason we weren't allowed to capture footage of the game.
@FrankJaeger I've never played the original, but have finished every game since! I wouldn't really call myself unfamiliar, but I did flub this one and I apologize.
@MegaTen Sorry! I'll be the first to admit I didn't play the original Metroid. It was a tad before my owning an NES and one I never circled back to. The article has been corrected.
@RedMageLanakyn As someone who has a deep appreciation for both Street Fighter and fighting games in general, I agree with many of your points, but my point stands. Capcom failed to bring new players to the Street Fighter franchise with SF5. ARMS seems to be aiming for the same thing and is poised to do so much more effectively through the inclusion of additional modes and co-op match types.
@MarioPhD No, not a typo. I'm mainly referring to the fact that our reviewer may feel differently, and our review may not necessarily reflect the positive outlook I currently have on the game. We'll have had the game for quite some time at that point, but we're certainly still in the honeymoon phase with it. For many, fighting games don't last even that long, so it's important to note that what's fun now might not have staying power.
@Adamario This didn't sit well with me, either, so I went ahead and tried it again and discovered some weird controller issues. Long story short - yes, it does support single joycon play, but if you were playing before and changed the configuration without quitting the game, it'll behave oddly. So, it's best to settle on your control scheme before starting the game. An update to the review is incoming to address this.
@Xaessya I haven't tested that, but wouldn't recommend it. Plus, this approach allows you to switch which eshop you're looking at without going to Nintendo's site.

Re: Review: DOOM (Switch)
@KIREEK Thanks!
Re: Review: DOOM (Switch)
@NEStalgia The multiplayer is actually quite reminiscent of Unreal Tournament, and I mean that in a good way!
Re: Review: DOOM (Switch)
@flapjack-ashley We got a digital code, so I'm unsure, but if I had to guess it's a required download.
Re: Review: Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Switch)
@gaby_gabito That depends on what you like. For DBZ fans, I'd recommend this. Otherwise, ARMS offers the best experience.

@BensonUii Sadly, no. That's one thing I've heard from the people I've showed it to, but the default controls work well.
