@Rapadash6 - good response, that makes sense. I doubt there are very many Nintendo console owners that would choose Crysis 3 over Zelda. It's Nintendo's games that made us fans in the first place.
Kind of disappointing that Nintendo is only giving $1 off on the Mario games, on other systems (ipad for example) large developers are often marking down $10 games to 99 cents.
@Wheels2050 - Exactly! I could care less about taking it anywhere. To me it's a console and I want large screens. If the games were on the Wii I wouldn't even have the 3DS.
@ThomasBW84 thanks, once my DSIware is moved to the 3DS XL can the games be played from SD or do I have to continue to swap them in and out of system memory like I currently do with the DSI XL.
This could become expensive in the long run, I buy a lot of games and am not getting the download versions because it's not worth the cost of 32 GB SD cards.
Nintendo is saving on memory when we download so there is no reason they can't sell the download games cheaper, at least $5 - $10 off.
I think that the average Nintendo console owner isn't concerned about the online functionality as much as gamers on the other consoles. I know I couldn't care less about online gaming and the other Wii owners I know feel the same way.
How can you say that the Wii U is an utter failure at online when it isn't even out yet?
Borderlands 2? I don't really care, it's another one of those over-hyped, couldn't care less about 2 months later type of games. Same with Aliens: Colonial Marines, they can keep it. I want something new and original and I got a lot of that with the Wii.
Wow, there are plenty of games that have made more money on the Wii compared to other consoles, Tiger Woods sold better on Wii, Skylanders sold more on the Wii than the PS3, 360 and PC combined. U-Draw was a huge success on Wii, it flopped so bad on other systems it ran the company out of business. Need more examples?
He is an idiot. The Call of Duty games played much better on the with with the point and shoot of the Wii remote. The graphics were obviously worse but the controls were much better. So... let's take a step backwards ao go back to a regular controller? how stupid!
NEWS FLASH: Venus was in superior conjunction with Mars at 04:12 this morning, by which time both Jupiter and Saturn had become visible as they rose 2° apart. This unfortunately this voided the Wii-Ware approval process (step 727) which requires there to be a maximum of 1.9° separation, therefore Retro City Rampage will not be released this week and we suggest that you check back during the next alignment phase.
The timing is good because I was just at the point where I was getting ready to give up and sell all my 3DS stuff because it was just too uncomfortable on my eyes while playing it. Now I will keep my games and also be playing the new Mario game!!!
@SanderEvers - Larger does not make it more blurry. Sure, the pixels are bigger and may make it blockier but not blurry. So you're saying a 56" LCD TV is more blurry than a 42"?
If it turns out that there is any more blur on the 3DS XL it will be because Nintendo added it to smooth things out, not because the screen is larger.
The image is not being stretched or reduced to fit a new resolution, the resolution is not changing on the new screens.
@Arcamenel - it will not be blurry at all, the graphics are not stretched to a larger resolution, the screen resolution is identical, the pixels are just larger. It will be just as clear as a regular 3DS
The only negative is that it wasn't out a year ago.
@TheDarkness - The games will look great, just look at the DSI XL. Honestly, I know it's a portable but how often do people actually take it anywhere? I rarely ever take it with me and most other people I know don't either.
It will be so much nicer, especially for the virtual console stuff, NES games weren't made to be played on a 2 inch screen
who cares about playing music on the Wii U! seriously! buy a $50 DVD player and you can do both without putting the wear and tear on your $300 Wii U and without making the rest of us pay more for Nintendo to license the codec required for those things, holy cow people
I prefered when it was all at the Consumer Electronics show in Chicago back in the early 90's (and open to the public). The had hundreds of playable games on the floor
I don't care about a redesign for anything else other than larger screens. It doesn't sound like it's coming anytime soon so for now I think I will just give up and sell my 3DS stuff, it's just too uncomfortable trying to play on screens this size.
Nintendoro - That's what DVD players are for, no way I'd want to put wear and tear on my Wii U for watching movies when I can buy a DVD player for $50. Also, Nintendo said a HDD can be hooked to the USB port, I'd rather have that than an internal drive.
The Wii U is not going to sell at a loss because Nintendo is a smart company, they are a real game company and it is their core business, they can't pull money from other areas of their business and throw endless amounts of money towards it like Microsoft does with the Xbox... totally ridicilous.
Sony & Microsoft know what gamers need? seriously? what games have they been developing? none. Nintendo is the only real game company in the console race and if you think Microsoft & Sony are looking out for your best interest I really feel sorry for you.
Cheap does not mean low quality, did your Wii burn up 2 years after owning it? Nintendos hardware is quality made. Not sure I believe you were ever a Nintendo fan... when the "Real next gen PS and Xbox shows up" guess what? it will soon be outdated as well.
Why Wii U will win... do we really need yet another system to play Call of Duty, Bioshock, Mass Effect, and all those other mostly over-hyped trendy geek games? seriously, I listen to PS3/360 fanboys rant for weeks on end about a new game and then 6 months later the fad is over and it now sucks because something better it out... how shallow...
Nintendo is different and offers unique experiences, others may try to copy but Nintendo makes some of the best games in the world and you have to buy Nintendo systems to play them.
Graphics really do not matter that much, I have a lot more fun on Wii with Tiger Woods than on Xbox 360 or PS3.
The graphics in Zelda Skyward Sword basically sucks when compared to similar games on other systems but did anyone here let it stop them from enjoying the game?
You guys need to realize one thing... ALL graphics suck eventually, even the Xbox 720 will pale in comparison eventually.
Why would you want to play without a portal? oops... I moved the controller and the character just fell off, no thanks, they better give you the option to buy a portal...

which part? that I will overwrite my 3DS games?
Re: Guide: 3DS XL System Transfer
I left my Dsiware games on my DSI XL, can I transfer those to my 3DS and then everything from my 3DS to my 3DS XL?
When transfering my Dsiware to 3DS would I overwrite all my 3DS stuff?

@Nestalgic Yep, beat most of them, I have no life
Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 Download Size Breaks Some Blocks
@ItsInRealLife - yep, you'll need to go retail anyway because the 3DS doesn't work with 64 GB cards.
Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 Download Size Breaks Some Blocks
@Nestalgic - I know plenty of people that have 90+ video games, heck, I have 180 Wii games alone
