What kills me is that Nintendo can make the Wii U huge by doing a number of things that they probably will never do... 1.Let it play DS and 3DS games (from cartridge please, no repurchasing!). 2. Earthbound Wii U. 3. A real Kid Icaurs game. 3. A collection of the original Gameboy Mario games remade in color 4. Bring a real Pokemon RPG to Wii U! Why handheld only???

@Knux - it may have some hardcore games but for the casual gamer the PS3 has very little to offer.

@Elnherjar - I don't think the Wii U has any kind of chance of being as popular as the Wii, even if they dropped it to $99. It's too complex for the older crowd and has no titles that would appeal to them. My grandma loves the Wii, she would not even consider a Wii U.

I'm a Wii U fan only and I know a lot of people that play the 360 but I don't know a single PS3 owner so I don't think Nintendo has as much to worry about with Sony.

@Haxonberik - we need a portal, if not, then you would have to place the characters and items on the gamepad controller in order to use them (that would not be fun trying to play without them falling off, lol). I'm sure the built-in NFC is only going to go a few inches at most, any more would be a huge drain on the battery life.

It really sucks that I have to use a wire now, I like the Wii wireless portal!

Exactly! there are very few games that I have ever played that had an interesting story, most of the times the cutscenes drive me crazy!

@WaveBoy the fastest HD TV is not 4ms, my Samsung LED DLP 56" is much faster than 4ms, don't forget that DLPs can be hundreds of times faster than LCD. they are measured in micro seconds, not millseconds. My DLP is even fast enough for the NES Zapper although still has problems because the processing occasionally fails to display the black frame when you shoot.

Developers do things like this and then wonder two months later why it didn't sell as well as expected (Epic Mickey 2). You'd think the extra sales would be worth a little bit of effort here, it doesn't take much to add the Wii Remote and Nunchuck.

@Mahe Exactly! just look at how Epic Mickey 2 suffered, it would be a huge mistake to ignore motion controls, they make games easier to play, not harder.

Lets finish the PC version first since I bought it like 2 years ago as part of the Frozenbyte Humble Bundle and am still waiting to get it...

I bet no developer will worrry about the next Microsoft and Sony systems when they first release and have a low install base... and they wonder why third party games sell less on Nintendo consoles.... like they can keep slapping us in the face and we wont remember it...

@SkywardLink98 - that's where you can place the unopened characters on the portal and play the game with them without opening the box.

@paburrows - you need a portal, you can't sit the characters and items on the controller and still be able to play without them falling off.

I think my friend just figured it all out. They are taking this time to add characters and items to make the game work like Skylanders. Releasing it on all consoles at the same time would make sense for that.

Forget Rayman now, I will be busy with other games like Skylanders 3 this fall, Ubisoft lost out on a lot of sales

Newsflash! ZombiU is going multiplatform and the Wii U version will stop functioning tomorrow! it will begin working again once they are done with the PS3 and 360 versions! would that actually surprise anyone at this point?

it depends... if it's simply the same but rendered in higher resolution then it's definitely overpriced. I'm sure more work has been put into it than that.

I think it would be neat if they released a retro console and maybe make some of the cartridge games available again.. an HDMI Nes or SNES!

I don't think games cause violence but can you honestly say that the Wii/Wii U has less guns? I personally own the Activision Top Shot Elite rifle and 8 others rifles along with over a dozen various pistols, and over 50 Wii games that support all these. Seriously! Wii's got guns! lets not help promote the dilusion that Nintendo is only for children.

I called about a game once and the guy took my phone number and sai he would call back, a couple of hours later he called, he had played up to the point where I was in the game and walked me through the part in question. I remember thinking how amazing the customer service was for that stuff.

If they ever get around to announcing that the Wii U will be able to play the 3DS games it will create a lot more sales.

The generation of games isn't going to make for good retro games in the future with all the problems and no patching will be available then...

No surprise here, these are new emulators I don't see why it is so difficult for people to just boot into Wii mode, it's not that hard.

I played Epic Mickey 2 on the Wii U and yes, they really screwed up not letting us use the Wii remote for single player but other than that I really like the game and played for 21 hours until I finished it.

Sometimes it takes that extra person to say things like "hey, we should add some contrast to this game, I hear black lines look good when they are black", lol okay, mean but the colors really bug me.

They had to come up with a new excuse, the old "System cannot handle the graphics" doesn't work anymore...

A port is better than nothing!!! I don't even use the gamepad for most of the games I play.

I agree, the whole idea that Nintendo is just geared towards kids is ridicilous but you can thank a lot of the 360 and PS3 fanboys for promoting that attitude...

@Pikachupwnage - It doesn't have to be, you don't have to play with every single character.

Baloon Fight is probably one of my least favorite Nintendo games ever made but I am really looking forward to the others.
