It's a shame that a killer game finally comes to Wiiware and so many people are going to miss out on it. I understand if you already bought it on another system but if you haven't then how can you call yourself a gamer after passing this one up?
and for people whining about having to go to the Wii menu... is it really any harder then going up and poping a game into the system? people are so lazy these days...
You can't keep comparing systems, so what if we don't get Battlefield, we do get Pikmin and all the other Nintendo titles, and guess what? you won't see them on the Sony or Microsoft systems. Would you rather have Battlefield? if so then why did you buy a Nintendo console in the first place. Sorry but the letter comes across as whining...
I definitely want this! I loved the Wii game! they better let us use the Wii remote though, I don't want to spray with the control stick like Epic Mickey 2 forced us to do...
@Metabble_King - my point was that manually designed levels have always been better than randomly generated levels in any game I have played regardless of the type of game. I can see this especially being true for a platformer. Sure, it gives you better replayability but it's just not as well designed...well, because it's not designed at all...
who really cares... the 3D effect doesn't work well on most 3DS games anyway (not the systems fault it's the developers), I usually play with 3D turned off.
I love Skylanders and Pokemon but this is not going to work, if this were a real Pokemon game then sure, I would definitely be sucked into the whole idea, but this is going to be another lame console effort that they have been giving us for years, and it's not going to be worth buying figures for... I just do not understand why they can't deliver a real Pokemon RPG like they do with on the handhelds.
@Jukilum - I dunno...I kind of like not having random encounters, those can be very annoying at times. Either way, I am definitely interested in games like this.
Don't get your hopes up, I have the game and Action Replay and it doesn't work for me. I verified that those are zeros in the code and not the letter O. anyone else able to get this to work?
The Kid Icarus controls aren't the problem, it's ridicilous and it's not a true Kid Icarus game, how many people would be thrilled after playing platforming Mario games over the years if it turned into an on rails fireball shooter?
Not at all, a few parts took me a couple of tries but it's nowhere near as hard as the NES games it's doing a parody of... you get endless lives also...
@Kirk - Maybe you missed some things? there are references to Super Mario 2, Metal Gear, Bomberman, Jackal, Duck Hunt, Mario Bros, Smash TV, Zelda, etc... the Game Genie and a lot more I am sure (I haven't finished it yet), those definitely qualify as "good old days".
The developer doesn't decide the price on the Wii, Nintendo does. If it were up to the developer it just might be free seeing how he won't get any money anyway.
@Ren - I felt the same way and what other game is going to send you on a quest for stuff like a 72 pin connector? LOL ...for those who don't know, it's the cartridge connector inside a NES console, I've replaced many of those over the years.
@bezerker99 - Yep, I appreciate great things and give credit when it is well due. Wiiware has been dead for a long time and he did us all a great service by making such a great game available there.
It's a shame, this is the best game to ever come to Wiiware! there is something in this game for every fan of gaming for the past 25 years, no real gamer should skip this release! He should set up a donation area on his website, this game is worth it!
I kind of like it because it will save me tons of money in the long run because I refuse to waste my money on any game that does this crap. Paying for extra levels or characters is fine but things that halt your gameplay until you pay just suck and EA will kill themselves with this crap.
@seronja - that's what thay wanted to hear... people being glad of the delay... I really doubt that we will see any worthwhile improvements in the game at all, I'm sure they are too busy with the 360 and PS3 ports to worry about changing the Wii U version now.
Not in our lifetime... Nintendo has been through a lot in the past 120 years, they make the best games and if you want to play them you will be buying Nintendo hardware, now and always, that's right, get over it already.

See what happens when developers care!
At least the EA DRM nightmares haven't reached the Wii U yet... has it?

even more shocking! N64 beat NES!
Re: UK Gamers Rate Wii As "Best Ever" Console
Wow, that's ridicilous, I agree with the Wii being number 1 but where is the NES? even Gameboy beat it.

There has never been a good game that has randomly generated levels anyway.

Yea! that's more money that I don't have to give to lame publishers!
Re: The Game Boy Color’s Only First-Person Shooter Comes Back From The Dead
why is it that people put so much of the story in their videos? it's boring enough in the game, get to the gameplay!
Re: Nintendo States That an External Hard Drive is Needed for LEGO City Undercover Download
No complaints, just go to the store and buy the game like we have been for years.

Re: Team Meat: We'd Work With Nintendo If Meat Boy Made It Into Smash Bros.
Seriously? Nintendo would never even consider it... meat boy is about as much of a classic character as Ninjabread man

@Stark_Nebula Yep, I have version 1.06... I wonder if the newer version also supports wavebird... that would definitely make it worth upgrading...

Not a bad idea really... I wouldn't mind having this on my Wii also...
Re: Crytek CEO: "The Notion Of A Single Player Experience Has To Go Away"
Don't hold back now, lol
Actually I see Crytek and EA gone in 10 years if they keep this up
Re: Crytek CEO: "The Notion Of A Single Player Experience Has To Go Away"
He is a CEO and not a gamer, CEO's make idiot comments all the time, us gamers will decide, not him.

@bezerker99 - I disagree, I'd give it a 10, it's a classic. It brings back so many memories with its parodies of old NES games.
Re: Vblank Entertainment: Retro City Rampage on WiiWare is a "$20,000 Gift to the Fans"

Re: Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo Is Out Of The Hardware Business
