Re: Retro City Rampage Has Only Sold a Quarter of the WiiWare Sales Threshold

It's a shame that a killer game finally comes to Wiiware and so many people are going to miss out on it. I understand if you already bought it on another system but if you haven't then how can you call yourself a gamer after passing this one up?

and for people whining about having to go to the Wii menu... is it really any harder then going up and poping a game into the system? people are so lazy these days...

Re: Talking Point: An Open Letter To Nintendo

You can't keep comparing systems, so what if we don't get Battlefield, we do get Pikmin and all the other Nintendo titles, and guess what? you won't see them on the Sony or Microsoft systems. Would you rather have Battlefield? if so then why did you buy a Nintendo console in the first place. Sorry but the letter comes across as whining...

@Metabble_King - my point was that manually designed levels have always been better than randomly generated levels in any game I have played regardless of the type of game. I can see this especially being true for a platformer. Sure, it gives you better replayability but it's just not as well designed...well, because it's not designed at all...

I love Skylanders and Pokemon but this is not going to work, if this were a real Pokemon game then sure, I would definitely be sucked into the whole idea, but this is going to be another lame console effort that they have been giving us for years, and it's not going to be worth buying figures for... I just do not understand why they can't deliver a real Pokemon RPG like they do with on the handhelds.

Re: Feature: Series Reboots That Have Divided Gamers

The Kid Icarus controls aren't the problem, it's ridicilous and it's not a true Kid Icarus game, how many people would be thrilled after playing platforming Mario games over the years if it turned into an on rails fireball shooter?

@Kirk - Maybe you missed some things? there are references to Super Mario 2, Metal Gear, Bomberman, Jackal, Duck Hunt, Mario Bros, Smash TV, Zelda, etc... the Game Genie and a lot more I am sure (I haven't finished it yet), those definitely qualify as "good old days".

Re: Talking Point: The Slippery Slope of Micro-Transactions

I kind of like it because it will save me tons of money in the long run because I refuse to waste my money on any game that does this crap. Paying for extra levels or characters is fine but things that halt your gameplay until you pay just suck and EA will kill themselves with this crap.
