Not looking to get into any kind of debate about this, I'd just like to express me deep disappointment in WB and Rock Steady for not bringing this game to Wii U. Wii U won't have much smaller of an install base by the time this game comes out (especially after Mario Kat 8 brings in a lot of new Wii U owners) but it's just being overlooked yet again.
I don't want people yelling at me about how "it's Nintendo fans fault" or any of that. I'm just a huge Batman fan who happens to only own a Wii U, so I'm sad.
Devs want to have a super easy process of porting games. Nintendo hardware is unique, and is therefore very difficult to port to for lazy devs.
I'm not particularly concerned about this since there's so many nice looking projects coming to Wii U from indie devs and the 3DS has a steady stream of extremely high quality content.
Considering I just splurged with Etrian Odyssey IV, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Soul Hackers, and Code of Princess, I won't be getting anything this week. Though I do have some interest in Super C.
Sigh... Well, hopefully it'll land on Wii U eventually. I'm not keeping my fingers crossed though. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it didn't come to Wii U until the holidays, if it comes at all.
This is free for 4 days as in, you get it free for 4 days then you have to pay or in that it's available for free for 4 days and you get to keep it forever?
It's good move because Nintendo has to go into the smartphone market in some capacity. This is a measured response to changes in the industry, and doesn't devalue any of their IP's or brands.
Marketing needs to evolve more than anything for Nintendo.
I feel like it's important for Wii U owners and Nintendo fans to take a step back from the worrying about financials and just appreciate how GREAT the software for Wii U is right now and how bright the future of game releases on Wii U looks.
@ JohnRedcorn: I pre-order all my games because it helps the companies and I like the pre-order bonuses. Also, in the case of Watch_Dogs, the game was supposed to come out in November. I had paid it off in October.
The reason I pay off games in advance is financial. When I have a few months to pay them off, I can plan out payments. This ensures that I can get all the games that I want.
Ubisoft treats its customers like crap with awful DRM and has now massively delayed and stripped the exclusive status of a game for Wii U in Rayman Legends, and has (if this is true, which it seems very likely it is) cancelled a game entirely for Wii U.
I'm getting real tired of their crap, and I LOVE ZombiU and I'm a fan of Rayman Legends. It's not like I just hate Ubisoft for no reason.
I'll believe Moore when EA starts developing games for Wii U.
EA has just treated Nintendo like garbage. I feel bad for buying Need For Speed Most Wanted U and Mass Effect 3: Special Edition new, even though when I bought them they were only $29.99.
@UnknownNico Same. I find it odd how much he hates this game. I've never played it or any Castlevania game for that matter, but it's weird how much he hates it since it's such a well regarded franchise. It's not like it's an LJN game or something.
If we could get Wave Race I would be SOOOOOO happy! Wave Race 64 was one of my first games. Along with Super Mario 64 and Goldeneye 007, that game made me a gamer.
@XFsWorld I honestly didn't know as I haven't kept up with this game much. Not really shocking though, no. Wii U versions of games getting gimped is far too common.
If Monster Hunter 3 is still only $39.99 at Gamestop, then I'll get the hard copy, if not, I'll finally get a major release on the eShop. I might pick up Bomb Monkey as well.
Also, Scribblenauts Unlimited for $19.99 is a great deal. That's an awesome game, and it's best on Wii U.
The easier it is for all kinds of developers to make games for your system, the wider variety of games you'll get. This is great for Wii U owners and gamers in general. Nintendo is doing well for itself with the Web Framework stuff, and also doing well for gamers and indie devs.
A very, very good Direct. Not even so much for the quality of the announcements, but just the riskiness and freshness of the announcements. Nintendo and Wii U stuff was all over Twitter yesterday. People ate it up. I saw a fair amount of tweets from people talking about how this Direct made them want to buy a Wii U.
This looks amazing and different for the Zelda franchise. Very excited! Also, it's great to see Twitter blowing up about Nintendo stuff... In a good way!
Nintendo is very precise in their wording, they didn't say "already announced" in their press release. I would assume that means at least 1 new game. Fingers crossed...
Wii U was in a tailspin in sales for most of the year, it's been on the upswing since September. It's still trending up. I don't see a problem. Things don't always change over night. It's a momentum thing more than a short term sales thing.

Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and Yarn Yoshi for the months before August, then Zelda U and Smash and X along with probably something else for the holidays.

Re: Review: BLOK DROP U (Wii U eShop)
The dev is so cool, I'll certainly be picking this up when I get off work today.

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition Sneaking Onto the Wii U eShop
As has been mentioned before in this thread, it's a shame that the rest of the Origins DLC isn't coming to Wii U.
Re: Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition Sneaking Onto the Wii U eShop
YES! I just finished Origins and I loved it. I will certainly be picking this up on the Wii U.
Re: Video: These Are The Ten DS Games We Want To See On The Wii U Virtual Console

Re: Wii U and 3DS Nintendo Direct Confirmed for 13th February
I want to see info about the DS games for Wii U, and something about Yarn Yoshi.

Re: Club Nintendo Rewards Updated for February
If I get enough coins, I might get Punch-Out!!
Re: Ubisoft's Updated Line-Up Still Includes Watch_Dogs as an Upcoming Release on Wii U
Ok. Now I can relax about this! I need to upgrade my pre-order to the Dedsec version.
Re: A Sonic Boom Game is Dashing Towards Wii U and 3DS
I was as big of a Sonic Lost World cheerleader as there was on the internet before it came out, and then I got burned by its mediocrity.
Slightly excited for Boom, but not going to pre-order it.
Re: Renegade Kid Releases Début Moon Chronicles Trailer
Looks cheesy and totally awesome!
Re: These Charming Animal Crossing: New Leaf Posters Are Available Now On Club Nintendo
Got mine after my coins went through from getting Giana Sisters and Monster Hunter 3 on the eShop.

Re: Renegade Kid's New 3DS FPS Is Moon Chronicles
I'm certainly going to be all over this. Renegade Kid is an awesome dev, and this looks simply amazing.

Re: Ubisoft Refuses to Comment on Watch_Dogs Wii U Cancellation Rumours
I really wanted this game. I had it paid off and everything. I have a flipping poster on my wall as a pre-order bonus! This is BS.
If Ubi is really cancelling Watch_Dogs for Wii U, I will never buy a game from them again.

Wait. Do the 360 and PS3 versions have online multiplayer, but the Wii U version doesn't?
Re: Review: F1 Race Stars: Powered Up Edition (Wii U eShop)
If it wasn't $30 I might pick it up. Jeez. That's pricey...
Re: Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver Soundtrack Available For Download
I have thought for a long time that Nintendo should put all of their soundtracks on iTunes. They would be swimming in cash for $9.99 a pop.
Re: Scirra's Construct 2 Engine to Support Wii U Nintendo Web Framework Development
Very good move by Nintendo. Make things as easy as possible for devs to bring their games to Wii U.
Re: Review: Hot Wheels: World's Best Driver (Wii U)
I, for one, am shocked that this game isn't good!
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty One
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Mario Kart 7
Pikmin 3
Sonic Lost World
Re: 3DS Tops US Hardware Sales as Wii U Achieves "Its Highest Month" in December

The Demo is much skimpier on content than I thought it would be... I guess I'll just try to dive headlong into everything when I get the full game.
Re: Review: Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure (Wii U)
Hey, the review is finally up. I got this on launch day in North America, but I haven't played it. I am like, 10 games behind in my play schedule.
Anyway, glad to hear that Unmasked is a worthy follow up to Unlimited. I adored Unlimited.

Re: Updated Zelda and Animal Crossing 3DS Card Cases Arrive on Club Nintendo
@wicked636 Have not played any DS games on it yet, however, my fiance plays DS games on her 3DS XL fairly often and she sees no problem with it.
Re: Kirby: Triple Deluxe Makes Japanese Chart Début at Number One
14,000 is kind of a lot of consoles sold in a week considering it's after Christmas... Just trying to stay positive.
Re: Updated Zelda and Animal Crossing 3DS Card Cases Arrive on Club Nintendo
Just ordered my Zelda one. Very excited! Now I have something to put my 3DS games in!
Just got Black 3DS XL on the last day of 2013. I love it so much...
Re: Review: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril (3DS)
@GoombaJMR I love your avatar. Just wanted to say that, lol. I was thinking about changing my avatar to Monokuma. I'm kinda tired of my current one.
