So I never played FR/LG or HG/SS and I wonder, are pokedexes in these remakes limited to their original generations or the generation the game is in? For example, will I be able to transfer my X/Y pokemon even though those did not exist in the original Ruby/Sapphire versions?

@rjejr That is an excellent point that did not even cross my mind! I agree, getting a card with a code is simply not the same as opening a box. And to this day, I still like sharing games with friends and family. Since Nintendo has been trying to push getting more than one 3DS systems in the same house, digital only would suck for families with multiple systems when the games cannot be shared.
@JCnator Yes! Download kiosk is the best idea to aid the people without internet/fast internet/bandwith. It definitely solves the problem of carrying multiple cards everywhere... but probably will not help too much with the price point that people think abandoning physical media would achieve.
@NorthLightSuplx In that scenario, I would rather they make two models. A one-screen model and a two-screen model. The one-screen would be able to play all the same games similar to how the Wii U has off-TV mode for many of its games even though they have some sort of dual screen feature.
@Peach64 Music, books, and movies are a different beast. Books generally max out at 2MB, mostly because of the cover art. Music generally sits around the 5-10MB range for one song. Movies have definitely not gone anywhere near completely digital like books/music... and that's largely because of the data. A video file ripped from a DVD is around 300-500MB, 720p from Blu-ray ranges from 700MB to 1.5GB, and 1080p ranges from 1GB to 4GB. Now consider that as most games for the 3DS even at the smallest sizes are already in the GBs. You would expect that the next system should have even larger game sizes. There are many people who don't pay for the fastest speeds for internet (and many who don't have internet at home at all) which could mean it could take days to download a game. Furthermore, there are many countries that offer tiered bandwith plans for internet... a single game download could eat up a large chunk of that month's bandwith.
I love the 3D and the two screens!!!! If they ditch those, I will be most upset. That said, I would not mind tiered hardware choices. Models with no 3D a la 2DS... Models with one screen a la Wii U (how most games can utilize the gamepad when played on the TV but still have off-TV modes that can be played with just one screen)... and any variation in between. As long as they have one with 3D and two screens, I will pay the premium to get the top tier model.
As far as ditching physical media, that cannot happen. There are plenty of people who do not have internet at home, let alone wifi. But more importantly, physical media is needed to get retail stores to stock the system. Retailers generally dont make nearly as much money selling the system as they do selling the games and peripherals. I think the best compromise however, would be physical game-installs. What I mean is buying the physical media that then installs the game to your system (and locks the physical media to your system until you use it to uninstall). That way its only necessary for collectors and those without internet to buy the physical media, stores have merchandise to shelve, and you do not have to carry around mutiple cards.
@jjmesa16 That's not quite correct. Disney purchased Marvel and Marvel owns the rights to all of its properties.
What you are talking about is film rights. In that regard, you are correct, Fox owns the film rights for X-Men and Fantastic 4 and Sony owns the film rights to Spider-Man. This is why you cannot see characters from these films enter Avengers or other movies made by Marvel Studios. But these are just the film rights... not complete rights to the characters, which is why you still see a Marvel logo at the beginning of the movies made by Fox or Sony.
Therefore, these characters can definitely show up in any game that Disney chooses to make.
@Peach64 How was New Super Luigi U "disgustingly priced"?! The game had 82 new levels! Compare that to NSMB2 where you get 3-level gold rush packs for $2-3 or Pikmin 3 level packs which were 4ish stages for $2-5. Why is that acceptable but 82 new levels for $20 is disgusting? If you match it to the NSMB 2 or Pikmin 3 pricing for 3-4 levels a pack... it would come out $40-$60 for 82 levels.
Would you have felt better if it was four separate 20-level packs for $5? Most other content DLC I have seen on the PSN store are around $10 a piece. I loved New Super Lugi U and probably played it as much as the original game. I had a blast searching for the hidden Luigi easter eggs in each level.
@Peek-a-boo Mass Effect 3 and Arkham City are the only games in the list so far that were released on the HD twins before they came out on the Wii U... and they are both quite low on the list. All the other multiplats came out at the same time. I cant comment about ME 3 but Arkham City AE edition is superior to the PS360 counterparts just by having the map on the gamepad alone!
Wow, I am glad Darksiders II is making so many people's lists. I loved that game on the Wii U with the Gamepad map! I am so sad that Vigil fell apart because I would have loved to see the orginal ported over. War was slightly more fun than Death in my opinion. My list is as follows:
1. Super Mario 3D World 2. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze 3. Darksiders 2 4. New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U 5. Batman: Arkham City AE 6. The Wonderful 101 7.. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD 8. Pikmin 3 9. Batman: Arkham Origins 10. The Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate 11. Assassins Creed III (haven't gotten IV yet) 12. Nintendo Land 13. Wii Fit U 14. Wii Party U
I actually think that not using the gamepad is actually a good idea. While I do love the gamepad when used for maps or UI or something similar, I could do without a game that simply mirrors the TV. When I am playing NSMB U or NSL U... I prefer using the gamepad but it is quite distracting to have the game mirrored when I am using the TV. I'd rather it just be off. Even in SM3DW, for most of the levels, the gamepad mirroring the TV is just distracting when playing single player. I would have much preferred a second screen approach similar to the orginal NSMB on the DS or the sequel on the 3DS or even SM3DL. Having the gamepad mirror is useless.
A second point... Having a major Nintendo game opt to not use the gamepad can also be a message to third parties who are mostly concerned with ports. Rather than spending time shoehorning a feature to the gamepad, I would much rather them work on making a good port.
Does that mean that no game should use the gamepad? Of course not! I love the gamepad! However, that does not mean that every game needs to use it either.
@rjejr Yes, that's my point. It's all just bad news... And that is fueling the perception that Nintendo needs to do something more... As a consumer, how can you demand Nintendo to release more games for the Wii U when you don't make similar demands for the 3DS and its pumping out the same number? Games take time to make... months and years... even if they change their strategy and shift all focus to Wii U after seeing the low sales... it will take a couple years for the fruits to show up.
Yes, the 3DS has a bigger backlog, but the 3DS is 1.75 years older too. AC and Pokemon both came out more than 2 years after the console was launched. The Wii U is barely 1 year old. Third party support is not that different for the 3DS and the Wii U... Assassins Creed: Liberation came out for Vita but skipped 3DS... Same for Rayman Legends... etc. It is getting copies of Lego games and Skylander games and Disney Infinity games... but the Wii U is as well. So the big M rated games are skipping the Wii U... but surprise surprise... there arent that many M rated games on the 3DS either. The big difference is that the media is very focused on these M rated big-budget games in the home console arena.
I dont think the problem is a severe lack of support/games for the Wii U but rather a horrible perception created by negative PR. I dont think it's a good idea for Nintendo to empty its coffers trying to get the big AAA games on its console. Rather I think they need to try harder in pushing positive PR.
To your analagy, in the ER, its 1 person with a paper cut all calm and collected and the other person with a paper cut as well screaming in pain. The treatment is the same, you just have to be more patient and nicer with the screamer.
@rjejr I am not so worried about Nintendo pulling support. I do agree with you that it seems like the Nintendo first party offerings are slim pickings for the Wii U but then I did some research and just wanted to add some perspective. Here's a comparison of Nintendo Published games with 3DS which everyone unanimously agrees is a Nintendo first-party powerhouse.
2013 3DS Fire Emblem: Awakening (February) Brain Age: Concentration Training (February) Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (March) Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity (March?) Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins (April?) Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (May) Animal Crossing: New Leaf (June) Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (August) Pokémon X and Y (October) The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (November) Mario Party: Island Tour (November)
2013 Wii U Lego City Undercover (March) New Super Luigi U (July) Game & Wario (July) Pikmin 3 (August) The Wonderful 101 (September) The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (October) Wii Party U (October) Wii Fit U (October?) Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games (October?) Super Mario 3D World (November)
11 games for the 3DS versus 10 games for the Wii U. Yes, the Wii U games were crowded in the second half and yes, they arent as big IPs as some of the 3DS titles, but its hardly Nintendo pulling support.
And both have about the same number of announced titles for 2014...
3DS Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy Yoshi's New Island Disney Magical World Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS Kirby: Triple Deluxe Mario Golf: World Tour
Wii U Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Mario Kart 8 Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Bayonetta 2 X Hyrule Warriors
(Note that all these are North America dates). Now it seems to me as we have a huge double standard. How can we say that Nintendo is giving ridiculous support for 3DS and almost no support for Wii U when the number of games across both in one year seem to be quite similar? I think it's this negative media bias that is affecting all of us... even the Nintendo fans...
I am really glad Dark Moon got a nomination. I feel that game was forgotten when it came time for awards because it was so early in the year and such awesome other titles were released afterwards.
I ordered the Zelda one and then furiously entered in all my codes that I had lying around and filling in all my extra surveys to get the other one. Fingers crossed that something more awesome doesn't come along soon...
I am wondering if I can use Pokemon bank to store all my current Pokemon so I can restart my game and be able to transfer back everything? Anyone know if this would work? And will all my transfered Pokemon be "traded" and get the exp boost on my new save file?
@DarkKirby Ad Revenue. Basically anytime someone clicks (accidentally or intentionally) on any ad someone gets some revenue. Companies would rather people be forced to see the official trailer that they posted so they get all the ad revenue generated.
@LDXD I agree. My favorite 3DS commercial (which probably had a subconscious effect in me buying the 3DS eventually) was the one where two gamers were arguing which game, Super Mario 3D Land or Resident Evil Revelations was better.
We need more commercials like that for the Wii U... It highlights Nintendo's best games and proves that contrary to popular belief, Nintendo systems have games of all types! (Nintendo PUBLISHED Ninja Gaiden 3 for goodness sake)
@rjejr I am not saying Apple and Nintendo are the same exact company... Of course there will be differences because they are two completely different businesses, but the comparison is valid in my opinion.
Also, I do not think your examples of iTunes and Safari are appropriate. Apple is not selling that software.
iTunes is merely a companion app similar to the (to-be-released) Miiverse app or the recent Pokedex app. I do not think anyone would download iTunes for Windows to buy music/videos without an iDevice to play it on. Furthermore, I believe the only reason iTunes for Windows exists is because the original iPods had no internet connections. With every modern iDevice having a way to conect to the internet and having the iTunes store app on the device itself, I could easily see Apple stop supporting iTunes for Windows with little to no consequence.
As for Safari on Windows, I can't believe anyone uses this unless they are running Windows via BootCamp and are too used to it?
Also, I could be wrong but I doubt anyone buys iDevices because their killer app is iTunes and Safari. As opposed to any Nintendo game which is Nintendo's killer app that people buy Nintendo hardware for. Nintendo porting one of their games is very different from Apple porting iTunes/Safari.
@rjejr It is not that anyone would buy a Wii U just for VC... but by putting VC content elsewhere... it becomes one less reason to get a Wii U. And having to add virtual controls would make them shoddy ports, regardless of how good the game is, which eventually does tarnish the brand. I know there are controllers available for phones/tablets but if you plan on releasing on those platforms, you cant make an accessory a requirement.
I know there is a slow trickle of VC games to date on the Wii U, but that is not without reason. They are adding new features to each port by adding gamepad support. (I personally think they could do this better by adding a NES mode similar to the current Wii Mode and have one app that can emulate multiple games instead of each game being a separate emulation app... but that is a different story.) The other main reason for slowly releasing VC games is that it gives each game time to sell. If they just released 100 games in a week, people would have to decide which few to get and then would soon forget about the rest. However, by releasing a few each week, thsoe hungry for new games are more likely to buy each week.
@rjejr Actually Apple is a very good comparison. Not by comparing Apple products to Nintendo products but using it as an analogy.
If Apple gave out OS X Mavericks to other manufacturers, what reason would there be to buy a Mac? Apple PCs and laptops are notorious for being overpriced hardware, but people buy them because its the only way to use that OS. It's the same issue with the iOS. I actually prefer iOS to Android but I really like other manufacturers hardware better. Mostly because they offer choice that Apple doesnt (new iPhone vs old iPhone). But I am stuck getting an iPhone because I cant use iOS on that sleek HTC phone...
Nintendo is the same exact way. They have weaker/more unique hardware but it's what you have to buy if you want their software.
@WingedSnagret I could not have said it better myself. This is 100% how I feel too!
"This is exactly why I'm a loyal Nintendo fan. To me, video games are for fun and escapism; doing things you never could in real life.
Things like flinging fireballs out of my hands to defeat evil mushrooms (Mario), catching and battling alongside creatures of all shapes, sizes, and types, (Pokemon), flying through the air while shooting at various monsters, (Kid Icarus), or even simply living in a peaceful town full of friendly animals (Animal Crossing), are all examples of amazing experiences you could never have outside the virtual world.
Most games today however? Guns, war, gore, and realistic images. All things you can experience in our real world that I'd rather not think about. If I want to see or feel those scenarios, I'd watch the news or join the military."
@DarkLloyd It's not that he modded the system, or that he's selling a used 2DS... it's that the design he used is trademarked. If it was just green and white, it would be no big deal. But he used Luigi's design on the back which is copyrighted by Nintendo. What's more, he's selling this as a Year of Luigi 2DS... using Nintendo's trademark to attract buyers. It was all cool when he was taking pictures and keeping it for himself. Now that he's selling, it's completely illegal.
I checked before work, and they werent up yet. I checked periodically at work in the morning about every half hour. Not up. I went to lunch, came back, they were all sold out.
@Ernest_The_Crab There definitely is a limit based on all the trailers and playthroughs of levels we have seen. Not sure how far though. But I do remember them mentioning around E3 that it is not limited to a certain player, but to whoever is the furthest in the level.
@Conkers64 According to the leaked GameStop Black Friday flyer (subject to change) .... you can get 3D World fo $25 if you buy a new system. $325 for a deluxe Wii U, NSMBU, NSLU, and SM3DW is a pretty good deal.
@JaxxRaxor So it's possible to sell the code? It's not tied to console or something like that? I really want the Zelda 3DS and the cartridge... but I cant justify buying a game I already own just for the cartridge.
For these special edition 3DS systems with the download version of the games... is it already downloaded on the system when you get it or do you get a download code similar to the Wii U bundle? I would prefer to have the actual game cartridge and sell the download code if possible.
@mystman12 I'm still a bit disappointed. It is strange how they decided what is and what is not 3D. I mean the caves are still 3D but the rest of the overworld is not. And even with the slider cranked up, the effect is pretty subtle... I suspect this is to reduce the noticeablity of it constantly switching.
The game is great... but I would have liked to see some of the environments and towns in 3D. Hope they change this with future games.
@yvanjean Ohhh!! I thought you meant you wanted to see an official Wii U with 1TB inside it.
Yea, I am all for an official Nintendo HDD, but at the same time, I do not see a need for it. There are plenty of reliable good brands (instead of usual 3rd party video game accessory brands).
As for eShop deals, I do not forsee deals coming close to physical retail deals anytime soon. I usually only play one game at a time so I don't mind disc swapping. Although I have found that having a download copy of games like Animal Crossing/Brain Age on my 3DS to be very useful. I will likely want to get similar titles for Wii U download too (Wii Fit U, I'm looking at you), but I think 32 GB should last me a while yet.
@yvanjean The Wii U does not have an HDD whatsoever at all. And a 1TB sized flash memory or SSD would be so expensive that it would make it completely unappealing. I love the fact that the Wii U has no HDD because those things are usually the first thing that breaks in a computer/console. Also, if you're like me and usually buy disc games, then 32 GB is more than enough. I appreciate not having to spend more for storage I will likely never use.
@ueI The basic bundle comes with 2 games and Wiimote Plus and the premium bundle comes with 2 games and slightly bigger storage space. I think the pricing is fair.
@Peach64 Link's Awakening and Oracle of Seasons/Ages say hi. And I don't know if you played Skyward Sword or not, but that story clearly explains why it's always another Link, another Zelda, and another demon (there actually have been other villains besides Ganon... Vaati, Bellum, Malladus, Onox, Veran, etc.). Also, is that not how every "chosen one" story goes? There was a "chosen one" long ago that miraculously defeated some ancient villain, and now that that villain has returned there is a new "chosen one." In my opinion, it is quite fascinating how we actually get to see the same events repeating throughout history just a little different each time.
And ultimately, the Legend of Zelda series (like most Nintendo games) has rarely been story first and each game is different enough that I have never felt it to be a remake (except the actual remakes). Obviously there are similarities between the games (a water based dungeon, a dungeon in the forest, etc.), but is that not what defines a series? I would rather the story be similar between games than the gameplay be the same between games.
@LittleKing Not because the disguise is gone, but because she reveals she holds the Triforce of Wisdom. Ganondorf is not Bowser who just wants the pretty princess. He's after power.
@Flowerlark Really!?! Read my rant above. I hate how everyone quickly categorizes the game as "Damsel in Distress" when only the very last part has Zelda kidnapped. She was a pivotal character. It was she who pointed Link in the right direction. Without her, he would never have even gotten inside the Forest Temple... It was she who freed Ruto from the ice.
And as I said before, her getting kidnapped had nothing to do with revealing she is a woman. She get's kidnapped the moment she reveals that she has the Triforce of Wisdom... since the Triforce is what he wanted. If he had known Link had the Triforce of Courage, he would probably have kidnapped him too. Ganondorf was shocked when it was the Triforce symbol appeared on Link's hand at the end.
I don't care if you're a man or a woman... it is kind of hard not to be helpless when a powerful demon-possessed sorceror kidnaps you and places you in a giant hovering crystal.
This seems to be a case of perception. He wants to see all these issues because apparently it is his viewpoint of the world.
When I look at Ocarina of Time, I see nothing but heroic acts from several characters besides Link. As others mentioned, Impa is a Sheikah warrior (who is a woman) and single handedly imprisoned Bongo Bongo in the Well years ago. And when he is released, she rushes off to the Shadow Temple to fight it again.
Ruto, when awakened from the ice, rushes off to the Water Temple to save her people.
Nabooru defies all tradition and rebels against the prophesized king. And let's not forget all the men who are prisoned by the Gerudo, that Link has to save.
Out of the seven sages, FIVE of them are women. It is the sages who in the end defeat Ganon after all.
And I do not understand why Zelda's heroism in the entire game is deemed worthless simply because she is a women masquerading as a man. Everyone is all proud of Sheik, but you find out it's Zelda, and the story turns into one of a damsel in distress!?! Heck, without Zelda/Sheik, Link would probably be dead.
Lastly, Ganondorf kidnaps Zelda not when she reveals herself as a woman... but when she reveals the Triforce of Wisdom. That's what he's after, after all. If he knew at that point that Link had the Triforce of Courage, he probably would have kidnapped him too. He is shocked when it shows up on Link's hand at the final battle...
I am pretty much tired of people asserting that since the main playable character is a male, the game is rife with sexist sterotypes... As I said, its not that the game has problems... it is that you're looking for them.

"It’s a bummer that every single female-identified character in Mario Kart 8 is a princess, aside from Toadette and Wendy Koopa."
If you watch the Mario Kart Direct (at least the US one)... when they announce Wendy Koopa, they label her the "Princess of Destruction", haha.
That said, I hardly think the message is "If you’re a boy, you can be whatever you want to be, and if you’re a girl… you can be a princess...."
The boys are either plumbers, villains, dinosaurs, or gorillas...haha

Re: Talking Point: The Watch_Dogs Wii U Delay Demonstrates That Major Third-Parties Are Walking Away
2013 3DS
Fire Emblem: Awakening (February)
Brain Age: Concentration Training (February)
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (March)
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity (March?)
Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins (April?)
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (May)
Animal Crossing: New Leaf (June)
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (August)
Pokémon X and Y (October)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (November)
Mario Party: Island Tour (November)
2013 Wii U
Lego City Undercover (March)
New Super Luigi U (July)
Game & Wario (July)
Pikmin 3 (August)
The Wonderful 101 (September)
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (October)
Wii Party U (October)
Wii Fit U (October?)
Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games (October?)
Super Mario 3D World (November)
11 games for the 3DS versus 10 games for the Wii U. Yes, the Wii U games were crowded in the second half and yes, they arent as big IPs as some of the 3DS titles, but its hardly Nintendo pulling support.
And both have about the same number of announced titles for 2014...
3DS
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy
Yoshi's New Island
Disney Magical World
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS
Kirby: Triple Deluxe
Mario Golf: World Tour
Wii U
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Mario Kart 8
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Bayonetta 2
X
Hyrule Warriors
(Note that all these are North America dates). Now it seems to me as we have a huge double standard. How can we say that Nintendo is giving ridiculous support for 3DS and almost no support for Wii U when the number of games across both in one year seem to be quite similar? I think it's this negative media bias that is affecting all of us... even the Nintendo fans...
Sorry for the long post.
Re: We Didn't Know It, But Sonic Boom Was First Shown in Spring 2013
@Keiizeo An unprecedented partnership with EA?
Re: Nintendo Picks Up Multiple Nominations in D.I.C.E. Awards
I am really glad Dark Moon got a nomination. I feel that game was forgotten when it came time for awards because it was so early in the year and such awesome other titles were released afterwards.
Re: Updated Zelda and Animal Crossing 3DS Card Cases Arrive on Club Nintendo
Also, thanks NintendoLife for posting this even though this is just for NA.... I would have completely missed out otherwise!!!
Re: Updated Zelda and Animal Crossing 3DS Card Cases Arrive on Club Nintendo
I ordered the Zelda one and then furiously entered in all my codes that I had lying around and filling in all my extra surveys to get the other one. Fingers crossed that something more awesome doesn't come along soon...
Re: Get Mythical Time Travel Pokémon Celebi When You Download Pokémon Bank
I am wondering if I can use Pokemon bank to store all my current Pokemon so I can restart my game and be able to transfer back everything? Anyone know if this would work? And will all my transfered Pokemon be "traded" and get the exp boost on my new save file?
Re: Video: This New Kirby: Triple Deluxe Footage is Rather Marvellous
@DarkKirby Ad Revenue. Basically anytime someone clicks (accidentally or intentionally) on any ad someone gets some revenue. Companies would rather people be forced to see the official trailer that they posted so they get all the ad revenue generated.
Re: Rumour: Smash Bros. Heading for a Spring 2014 Release
@DarkLloyd In the northern hemisphere, March 20 through June 21.
Re: Fit Meter Iwata Asks Outlines Panasonic Partnership and Moving Beyond Pedometers
The US date appears to be pushed back. A Wii Fit U info app that was auto-downloaded to my Wii U stated that the retail release is 1/10/14.
UPDATE: This appears to be correct because the US Nintendo page lists this date as well: http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/rK_4Ln_ru27SWO1fxusaVkpdEwk3kFQY
New to Wii Fit? This bundle includes everything you’ll need to get started.
Available Jan. 10, 2014.
Wii Fit U, Fit Meter, and Balance Board
$89.99 MSRP*
Re: Soapbox: Even With The Arrival Of PS4 And Xbox One, I'd Still Pick The Wii U
Re: Talking Point: Moving To Smartphones Is Not The Answer For Nintendo
Re: Talking Point: Moving To Smartphones Is Not The Answer For Nintendo
Re: Talking Point: Moving To Smartphones Is Not The Answer For Nintendo
Re: Epic Vice President Mark Rein Remains Unconvinced By Second Screen Gaming
@odin6786 I agree 100%
Re: Soapbox: Super Mario 3D World's Playful Whimsy is Refreshing, But Faces a Vital Commercial Test
Re: Custom-made Luigi 2DS Now Up For Auction
@DarkLloyd It's not that he modded the system, or that he's selling a used 2DS... it's that the design he used is trademarked. If it was just green and white, it would be no big deal. But he used Luigi's design on the back which is copyrighted by Nintendo. What's more, he's selling this as a Year of Luigi 2DS... using Nintendo's trademark to attract buyers. It was all cool when he was taking pictures and keeping it for himself. Now that he's selling, it's completely illegal.
Re: 3DS XL Coloured Charging Cradles Sold Out On Club Nintendo
I checked before work, and they werent up yet. I checked periodically at work in the morning about every half hour. Not up. I went to lunch, came back, they were all sold out.
Re: Feature: The Madness That Is Super Mario 3D World's Multiplayer Mode
@Ernest_The_Crab There definitely is a limit based on all the trailers and playthroughs of levels we have seen. Not sure how far though. But I do remember them mentioning around E3 that it is not limited to a certain player, but to whoever is the furthest in the level.
Re: Nintendo Confirms The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL Bundle for North America
Definitely, getting this and selling the code... On that note, anyone know the best way to sell the code?
Re: Mario & Luigi Premium Wii U Bundle Confirmed For North American Release
@Conkers64 According to the leaked GameStop Black Friday flyer (subject to change) .... you can get 3D World fo $25 if you buy a new system. $325 for a deluxe Wii U, NSMBU, NSLU, and SM3DW is a pretty good deal.
Re: GameStop Advert Offers A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL and Luigi Bundle
@JaxxRaxor So it's possible to sell the code? It's not tied to console or something like that? I really want the Zelda 3DS and the cartridge... but I cant justify buying a game I already own just for the cartridge.
Re: GameStop Advert Offers A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL and Luigi Bundle
For these special edition 3DS systems with the download version of the games... is it already downloaded on the system when you get it or do you get a download code similar to the Wii U bundle? I would prefer to have the actual game cartridge and sell the download code if possible.
Re: Poll: Did You Pick Up Pokémon X, Pokémon Y or Both?
@mystman12 I'm still a bit disappointed. It is strange how they decided what is and what is not 3D. I mean the caves are still 3D but the rest of the overworld is not. And even with the slider cranked up, the effect is pretty subtle... I suspect this is to reduce the noticeablity of it constantly switching.
The game is great... but I would have liked to see some of the environments and towns in 3D. Hope they change this with future games.
Re: Feature: A Week of Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Screens - Issue Eight
It should be "Pit and Samus going head to head" ?
Re: Nintendo Confirms Three New Wii U Hardware Bundles for Europe
Re: Nintendo Confirms Three New Wii U Hardware Bundles for Europe
@yvanjean The Wii U does not have an HDD whatsoever at all. And a 1TB sized flash memory or SSD would be so expensive that it would make it completely unappealing. I love the fact that the Wii U has no HDD because those things are usually the first thing that breaks in a computer/console. Also, if you're like me and usually buy disc games, then 32 GB is more than enough. I appreciate not having to spend more for storage I will likely never use.
Re: Nintendo Confirms Three New Wii U Hardware Bundles for Europe
@ueI The basic bundle comes with 2 games and Wiimote Plus and the premium bundle comes with 2 games and slightly bigger storage space. I think the pricing is fair.
Re: Eiji Aonuma Wants the Wii U Zelda's Hyrule to be "A Setting No One Has Ever Imagined Before"
@Peach64 Link's Awakening and Oracle of Seasons/Ages say hi.
Re: Rumour: New Pokémon Game In Development, Focusing On Pikachu
Pokémon Lightning Yellow Version is happening guys! In the Gen VI engine to boot!!! All of our dreams are coming true at last!
Re: News Site Claims That Zelda "Takes A Dim View Of Workers, People Of Colour And Women"
@LittleKing Not because the disguise is gone, but because she reveals she holds the Triforce of Wisdom. Ganondorf is not Bowser who just wants the pretty princess. He's after power.
Re: News Site Claims That Zelda "Takes A Dim View Of Workers, People Of Colour And Women"
@Sir420 'the overwhelming preference in Western culture for "people like us."'
This game was made in the East.
Re: News Site Claims That Zelda "Takes A Dim View Of Workers, People Of Colour And Women"
Re: News Site Claims That Zelda "Takes A Dim View Of Workers, People Of Colour And Women"
@ScroogeMcLz Five of the seven sages are women!
Saria, Ruto, Impa, Nabooru, and Zelda - Women
Rauru and Darunia - Men
Re: News Site Claims That Zelda "Takes A Dim View Of Workers, People Of Colour And Women"
