I visited Soyo Oka’s personal website, and the first sentence reads, “ Born in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, he started playing the piano at the age of six”. The entire home page describes the life of a man.
@Handheld_TrifectAce If for some reason it doesn’t work out for sanches12, I’d like to be next in line for Tipping Stars for Wii U! I’m in NA. It’s thoughtful of you to share.
@DockEllisD I ordered the Japanese physical copy thinking it might be the only one that would get made (even after you reported on a previous thread that it wouldn't have English...). Of course this release was announced right after I received my order from Japan, haha. Definitely getting this sweet localized edition. L-M1 may well be my favorite game
@Darlinfan I get that... it is fairly pointless to comment on something I am not into. Just had seen the comment from @JayJ about being averse to the style, and wanted to voice agreement, esp since a majority seem to see it differently. It's not arbitrary at all, though.
@DockEllisD Thanks very much for that info! That is disappointing, but the other extras (book, soundtrack) are still appealing, so I'll probably keep the pre-order. This is my first time importing a game. Do you know (perhaps from other releases) if later updates to Japanese versions add English support, or are the versions completely different?
@DockEllisD Do you happen to know if the Japan release of La-Mulana 2 will include English language support? I'm really looking forward to that game, loved the first. I pre-ordered it through ZenMarket, so really hoping that it has English... it was kind of a risk. It's hard to find much information about it.
@JokerWolf I just finished playing Castlevania OoE a few weeks ago and had a blast with it. Loved the challenge; it's the hardest Castlevania I've played! What do the games have in common?
@RainbowGazelle TumbleSeed makes good use of HD rumble to give a sense of the seed rolling from one side to the other (which is the basic essence of the control scheme). I love the game but it isn't for everyone.
A Robot Named Fight does a great job as a procedural generated Super Metroid, and a run will clock in under 2 hours. Quick pick-ups, no dead time. If being less careful, it can go faster.

Re: Review: Rabi-Ribi - A Merry Mix Of Metroidvania And Bullet-Hell
@Darlinfan @JayJ - It actually does sound like a great game I would otherwise enjoy, but will skip due to the character designs

That top image isn't Super Mario World... those ain't goombas from SMW.

Re: Review: Timespinner - Another Superb Metroidvania For Your Nintendo Switch
@starcakes @kupocake Quarter of Eccle-3-a...? I'll see myself out.
Re: Timespinner Is A Metroidvania Turning Back The Clock On Switch Next Week
@Jokerwolf Nice, I do see the resemblance in how you described the weapon system. Does the challenge compare to OoE?

Re: Nintendo Download: 28th February (North America)
@Fake-E-Lee I played so many hours of Wario's Woods on SNES. I'm really hoping that Treasure Stack captures some of that lightning in a bottle

Re: Pipe Push Paradise Brings Peculiar Puzzling Play To Nintendo Switch This Month
Puzzles spanning an interconnected world can be super cool, so I am intrigued (The Witness, Toki Tori 2 are good examples)

@Pod This game is as pretentious as they come.

To be fair, it would be very difficult to shoot a sniper rifle while standing up. The struggling bird might have a little more time.

Gooey G. would have been more fun. Rapping ectoplasm.

Re: The Switch's Home Menu Uses Less Than 200 KB Of Resources For Super-Fast Load Times
Food for thought regarding the desire for folders: Tags could accomplish the same organizational purpose, in a more flexible way.
E.g. if I want Enter the Gungeon to have a Rogue-like tag, and a Multiplayer tag. Or maybe that is a given!
Anyway, I love the snappiness.
