I don't know how I'd feel about a subscription base Monster Hunter. I already pay for XBL and PS+... I'd rather just fork over $60. Just like Elder Scrolls Online, I would play it if it was a free to play or a $60 game. But a $60 plus a $15 monthly fee?!?!?? I don't think so.

Well honestly Wii U won't get any third party support. It's the fate I've accepted as a gamer, so I got a Xbone to play shooters and stuff. I recommend everyone does the same and get their 3rd party platform of choice. (PS4,Xbox One, PC)

This commercial ain't going to move units Nintendo. I'd rather have a commercial pulling at people's nostalgia strings by showing boys in the 1990's playing the orignal DKC and then showing them grown up playing DKCTF on Wii U. Air that on adult channels and BOOM you just sold some consoles.

Man, for a 3D Mario game, that's pretty piss poor. Mario games usually at least sell 3 million copies. Hope Wii U picks up steam in 2014 with DK, MK8, and Smash.

If 2014 goes the same exact way as 2013,(little to no marketing, no needed changes to Wii U, lack of games) Iwata needs to go. 2014 is make or break for Iwata.

For anyone wondering, Deep Silver named the Japanese version of Saints Row 4 "Ultra Super Ultimate Deluxe Edition" kind of as a homage to wacky Japanese game titles such as Kirby. LOL There is actually no extra DLC content or anything.

lol at all these butthurt comments. Let's be honest, MB gets boring after the first 3 stages. It was great then, but now it could be boring and tad bit too repetitive. Don't waste your money on this game. Go buy NSMBU or SMB3, heck go buy the original Super Mario Bros. Totally agree with the review. Good job Martin for telling it like it is! I'm but could you imagine a Minecraft Wii U bundle? It'd loving sell some Wii Us. A system with Mario, Smash Bros, and Minecraft. That'd be my dream if I was a kid.

@rmeyer It's true man. It's gotta be $250. We Americans are all about value. And we're a little cheap lol.

I think if there is heavy marketing and a bundle perhaps for Mario Kart 8, there could be a major comeback. Also Super Smash would surely help. But my fear is the 3ds version will have a cannibalistic effect on the Wii U version. I hope Nintendo releases the Wii U version maybe like 3-5 months prior to the 3ds version to entice people to get the Wii U version.

8: Team up with Silicon Knights to do an Eternal Darkness 2

I was really hoping we'd get a MH4 release date in that nintendo direct.

I think the thing that made Wii U so much more appealing to me is that it signaled the return of games for the Hardcore Nintendo audience. That was something that urked me during the Wii generation, I hated that damn Wii remote. I'm not saying that I hated the Wii, but I liked playing games without motion control, and with a controller with buttons. What makes the Wii U so perfect is that it offers something unique that PS and Xbox can't give you, but it doesn't give me something gimmicky.

@archlord I don't think consoles will die off even after the ps4/Xbox. And if they do, I'm pretty sure it'll be PC gaming as the lead system. Yes, tablets will be used for some gaming, but I just can't see millions and millions of hardcore gamers wanting to play a game on a tablet. We're too used to having buttons. Hell, even my friends that are casual gamers hate tablet and smartphone gaming and prefer a Nintendo console or a Xbox to game.

Look, as long as SEGA lets Atlus do their thing, keeps Atlus USA(The Team that translates their games and import them to America)and keeps Atlus afloat, then this is the best possible situation. Though I think I'd rather have Sony or Nintendo purchase Atlus.

Is it just me or is Square Enix finally becoming good again? I mean, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy 15(which looks SWEET!), and Bravely Default:Flying Fairy. This game is my most anticipated 3ds game of 2014!

I'm actually playing Bayonetta 1 on my Xbox while I wait for Bayonetta 2 for Wii U. I recommend to everyone who reads this comment and has a xbox/ps3 plays Bayonetta 1. Make sure your at least 17 though, not for kids.
