Normally a Terarin fan (haven't picked up Terra Flame yet). I tried the demo a few times, but the shooting gimmick just doesn't do it for me. I hope he harnesses this seemingly newfound level of polish and applies it to his next game, though.

This is one of Terarin's early games. I'm unsure if this or Image Striker came first, but it's currently 50% off on the JPN eShop.
Like Terarin's other games, it's mechanics are influenced by older favourites. It's very much like a cross between Forgotten Worlds and Side Arms.

I have a Switch and PS5 and bought this on PS5. Agree with the 9/10. This is the most polished, high quality piece of DLC I've played on any console.

I played the previous one for an hour per day, cut my calories by about 500 per day and went for a 90 min walk every day and lost 14lbs in a week. I'm going to get this one.

Given Nintendo's current attitude to remakes, I can only hope for more inc Gamecube titles.

A sign of things to come, I hope. I'd certainly buy some updates of my old GC games if shown the same level of care as this.

@Daggot Those games have targeted bullets, they're equally as difficult in a different way.

@DashKappei Is this fevered irrational Nintendo fanboy leakage or have you got this evidence you speak of to back all of your assertions? Rolling Gunner inc Over Power on PS5 not only performs better, it's cheaper also. I happen to like its DLC since having the OG the day it was released on the Japanese eShop. It gave it a new lease of life. On a par with Crimzon Clover's World Ignition update.

@Tom-Massey No mention of one yet, but I've been caught quite a bit with this, lately. The most recent being Neon White.
It seems to me at least that with this market research, publishers are hoping Switch owners double dip by releasing on Switch first as with G'nG Resurrection/Capcom Arcade Stadium/Rolling Gunner/Neon White (all of which run better or are enhanced on PS5 with Rolling Gunner including the Over Power DLC).
Since for many Switch owners (myself included), it's their secondary console and naturally, given the choice, would choose the version for their lead console first.

Will pick this up, but also wondering how long before a superior version lands on PS5.

I love this game. I bought it day one and could never see why it received the negativity it generated. It's a homage from a fan of Nichibutsu games. It's almost a study.
That said, I have to ask if the inclusion of the Moon Cresta ship in this DLC was intended as a joke? That's laughably underpowered for this game. Maybe I'm missing something? Its lack of power is more than made up for by the other two ships, though. Both of which are excellent. Buy the pack. DON'T buy the MOON CRESTA ship on its own.
I'd love to see some Dangar UFO ROBO, Terra Force and MAGMAX DLC.
But I'd really love new games from those Nichibutsu franchises.

I bought this when it was released and still haven't started it. I'd much sooner have replaced Mario 64 for Galaxy 2. I can't understand why it wasn't included.

I'm holding out for the Edge review, but while DF had plenty positive to say about the game, they seemed to have a problem with with a lot of the technical aspects. Seemingly an overly ambitious project for the h/ware.

@Bottnik Easily one of the best STG on Switch. Perfectly paced and just difficult enough to be challenging w/out being insanely Danmaku.

I bought a Switch in large part to play Bayonetta 2 and hated it. An otherwise great game ruined by the inclusion of Loki. I HATED that guy. Is he or anyone like that in this?

This is one that deserves the Tom Massey treatment.

I'd have loved Bank Panic's inclusion in Sega Ages on Switch.

Played it on PS4. It's not a bad game. I just found it very dull.

I think La Mulana is actually a remake of The Goonies and La Mulana 2 is the remake of Maze of Galious.

@Chocobo_Shepherd It doesn't hold your hand and the back tracking is a little excessive by today's standards, for sure.

@trcsf MSX was my first computer. I wanted a C64, but my dad insisted MSX was the future of computing. He was right in a way, but it was tough getting games. A lot tougher than my C64 owning friends who could just walk to the store, whereas I had use mail order. Just install Blue MSX and download some ROMS. Bluetooth is standard now, so it's easy to pair a decent controller.

@NeonPizza I can't vouch for the Cotton Saturn Tribute games, but they did tighten up Guardian Force. It's not perfect, but it's a lot better.

I wanted to buy it, but there's no difference between this and the Xbox One version with one more frame of lag over the 360 version, on my Series S already.

It's quite saddening this series with so much potential has been abandoned by Sega. That aside, it seems that Namco took this as their inspiration for the Ace Combat series.

Love the 4 Terarin games I've played so far - Image Striker, Missile Dancer, Raging Blasters and Moon Dancer.

@clockworktwink A lot of this is down to a lack of education and Digital Foundry. While I appreciate what they do, a couple of frame-drops in any game is not game breaking.

Got an Edge 9, so I dipped straight away. Currently on chapter 3. So far so good. Love the aesthetic, audio and gameplay, but will likely restart since I've been skipping the interactions.

Have to say that I was disappointed by the line-up announcement.
I bought it and prefer the original CAS.

Don't really care about this. I was looking forward to Arcade Stadium 2, but massively underwhelmed at the games announced. Hoped for something like the first with more of a spread that inc Dimahoo and Marx Matrix.

I bought this from Japan's eShop on release and really like it. It's a very simple and old school shooter, but fun and colourful.

I'd be inclined to give it a fair shot since I've always had a soft spot for Jaleco's other side scrolling beater - 64th Street.

Got the Japanese Arcade Archives of Wonderboy on PS5 and the Sega Ages Wonderboy In Monster Land on Switch - do that.

I tried this on Game Pass and deleted immediately. Arcade Archives' Pac Land is superior and I have CE, CE DX and CE2 and I'm fine with that.
