I don't find NES and SNES titles enticing as I already own the Mini consoles. Now if they added N64 I'd be totally invested!

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz! It was $30 instead of $40. I was really on the fence about it but caved in because I missed playing Monkey Ball in general. So far I have no regrets!

Maybe they can use this as the template for a new Spider-Man game on the Switch? Haha

This makes sense because there is a new Switch model coming out with better processing power, the Switch is more capable than the Wii (and thus more accessible to 3rd party developers), and Nintendo's home console and portable markets are no longer divided. Plus the gaming market as a whole is much bigger than it was a decade ago. More people are interested in the Switch and what Nintendo uniquely has to offer

I got it on eShop yesterday because it was discounted. I'm liking it so far! I never owned it on the Wii and from what I understand this version is superior. I hope Sega realizes there is still a market for Monkey Ball. Though the game producer's statement may come off as greedy, I think he just meant that they put a lot of resources into remaking Banana Blitz and it would help the future of SMB if people bought the Banana Blitz remake. I think that reasoning is fair but he could've worded that better.
EDIT: Actually I misunderstood the game producer's quote because of the way the article paraphrased it, upon closer inspection I don't see a problem with the way he worded that.

Happy birthday, Nintendo DS! Ah, one of the most influential and innovative handheld gaming platforms in history...

To be honest, I'm surprised this game was re-released. I have no idea why the DKC titles were removed from the Wii Shop Channel at this point. I figured it had something to do with Rare now being property of Microsoft, but then this occurs, and I literally have no clue. Either way, the DKC trilogy is still property of Nintendo. Oh well, this game is a classic, and it's nice that the new generation can experience it now.

Stealth Inc 2 looks pretty cool, and it's always nice to see Kirby get some attention. The 3DS Virtual Console is lackluster as usual. I'm sure everyone's still hooked with SSB3DS at the moment, though.

Hopefully we have a lot more customizations in this game's Stage Builder.

Why can't all games just be enabled to be purchased from the web?

The Wii U is a gaming console, not a tablet. Please don't persuade Nintendo to try to attract those pseudo-gamers that consider tablets gaming platforms.

Or, you know, they could just upgrade to the Wii U, the Wii's successor. Honestly, I think Sony is still jealous of the Wii's success last generation. The PS4 does not appeal to a Wii owner, coming from someone who actually owned the Wii last generation. The Wii U appeals to Wii owners, NOT the PS4. There's no logic in saying it's the other way around.

Finally! Seven years after his debut, Captain Toad is getting his own game! I don't care what people have to say about this game, it's a massive improvement over the SM3DW Captain Toad stages. It looks much more immersive, and it definitely has the potential to be its own standalone game. I shall be picking this up at around Christmastime.

I hope Nintendo does this with VC. It would make sense and would e quite desirable. Perhaps Nintendo will cover this at the forthcoming Nintendo Direct.

Castaway Paradise: For those who aren't willing to pay for an actual 3DS and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, or even any of the other Animal Crossing titles for other platforms. Just what the world needed.

Okay, this sounds awesome. I hope they combine assets from SMB1 with assets from SMB2, SMB3, and SMW as well. I have predicted this in the past, and now it's finally happening! I hope it's released on the Wii U eShop and very affordable. I'd also like to be able to share and receive levels, as well as being able to record myself playing through the levels.

@JustinH Yeah, that remark was quite controversial. The belief that the 3DS is meant for children only is quite preposterous and even offsetting.

It was for the best. It's not like it would've topped Mario Kart 7 anyways. Far from it, actually.

@Goginho It's not coming to the 3DS eShop. Just accept that GBA games are going to the Wii U eShop and not the 3DS eShop.

Ugh... please tell me these people are joking. Is it me, or are people literally going out of their way to make Nintendo sound bad nowadays? First off, why would Nintendo create new characters for a Mario Kart title just to avoid being considered "racist"? All human Mario characters aren't white because Nintendo's racist. What kind of an assumption is this?! Plus, one could consider Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach colored, am I not correct? Also, Toad and Toadette are NOT human! Shows how little they know.

Well, one can only hope that this will be everything Explore the Dungeon wasn't. Puzzle-solving elements and a non-unnecessarily long title is a start!
