I found this game excellent until after finishing the main quest. After that it is pretty much like the first one. Still the best out of the two though.
I don't think it was ever sold here in Holland, but there is Nintendo Official Magazine, which is mostly focused on the UK. I can't find that over here anymore either.
Super Mario Land 2 is great. It's still feels more fresh and original than New Super Mario Bros. 2 could ever hope to be, judging from the trailers.
A level on the Moon, a LEGO level, a level in the belly of a whale. You don't see stuff like that in 2D Marios anymore. I only ever find any true innovation in the 3D instalments nowadays.
I ruined my old DS trying to replace its broken shell. After that failure I bought the DS Lite. The top screen of that system is failing as well, with dead pixels and all. I could just get a new screen for a low price, but I'm a little afraid to break my DS Lite as well. In the meantime, I bought a 3DS, but I like playing my GBA games in fabulous colours on DS Lite.
The reason why the old DS and DS Lite were so prone to piracy was because there were no firmware updates. The risk of bricking my system makes me refrain from using a Flash Card on 3DS, even if it is only for homebrew software.
This is going to be better than ever. Think of something, write it down and it will pop up. If it doesn't appear, just make it yourself. How on earth could this still go wrong with such hardware, such a great concept and the quality of the first two games.
Yes, please! But only if they keep the annoyngly long dialogue at bay. Seriously, in the first three games, they were just doing their best to make the characters talk much more than even remotely necessary.
It's still godawful and I refuse to buy it unless there is a game that really needs it that I absuletly want! Whoever makes it, I don't care. It still looks horrible.
No, that's a 3D game, but there is a Game Boy Color version of it as well, which acts as a sequel to this game and follows the plot of the console and PC versions, but within a 2D side-scrolling environment.
@shotgunryugan: If it's available on multiple systems, why should I not get the most complete version? All versions seem to be mostly identical when it comes to levels and graphics, but the multiplayer is supposed to be really fun. In fact, I've seen the PC version at a cheap price of €20,-. I tried the 3DS demo and loved it, but I won't pick it up until I feel like taking it on the go.
I am proud to have been one of the earlier supporters of this idea. Let's hope this becomes reality. LEGO and Zelda, the two greatest things known to mankind, put together. Tell me people: how can that not be an insanely good idea.
I think this is BS. The 'always having it with you' argument is hardly valid if you consider how small those cartridges are. You can easily keep multiple ones in your pockets.
If you like the idea of having everything printed out and look snazzy on the shelf, fine. It just seems reasonable to pay, say, 20-25% extra for it, even if it is only to compensate for the environmental strains traditional distribution brings along with it.
That's not entirely true. There's also a sequel to this Game Boy Color version that basically is a 2D recreation of The Great Escape. There was also a third one for GBA, that similarly blends in elements of Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 on the consoles.
And not a single person was surprised that day. It doesn't look like the most revolutionairy Mario title, but perhaps there's some cool stuff in there.

Re: Does This iOS Monster Battling Game Remind You of Anything?
Let's play a guessing game. The one who gets closest to the number of days Nintendo pulls this down for copyright infringement, wins a 100 dollars.
Re: More Tantalising Wii U Pricing Rumours Emerge Online
I take this with a grain of salt. $250 would be a steal.

Re: Planning To Download New Super Mario Bros. 2? You'll Need About 45 Minutes
Guess I'll stick with retail games then. I don't have a credit card anyway, so to get the Nintendo Points I still need to buy them in a shop anyway.
Re: Review: New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS)
Hm, looks too familiar to me. I'll go with 3D Land instead.

Re: E3 2012: Ubisoft Shows Off Rayman Legends for Wii U
Murphy was already there in Rayman 2. I would not call him 'new'.
Re: Rumour: Wii U Price Reveal Coming Tomorrow
We'll probably get this 'individual retailers will be able to set the prices' crap again in Europe.
Re: E3 2012: Wii U Pro Controller Offers More Options
Looks sleak, but why are the control sticks so high up. The right one is positioned awkwardly in relation to the buttons.

I hope so, this game looks like one of the best portable side-scrollers in recent years.

I think I'll just get it for the PC instead. Apparently this version does not have multiplayer.
