The part in Wind Waker where the Tower of the Gods arises from the depths of the ocean. After placing the pearls on the three pedestals on the Triangle Isles, Link is hurled against the walls of this memorable dungeon. Epic, with a touch of humour.
That's a great move. I hope this inspires developers to put a little more effort into their VC releases in the future. Many classic games on XBLA already have added content like online modes, so why not on Wii VC, which is the main platform on any system for classic titles at the moment.
So many fond memories of this baby. I didn't pick one up until the SP released, but I definitely caught up over the years, partially because of the DS Lite's backward compatability, which I choose over downloadable DSi games any day. Having that 16-bit SNES feeling in the palm of your hand was such a remarkable thing to experience.
The Hyrule in this game seems to be much like Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess, while the sky world is more like the sea in Wind Waker. Looks really cool.
OK, I managed to find just one copy of this game in the entire town. I just played it for an hour or so, but am already blown away by the sheer scope and open-ended nature of the game world. The characters look a bit rough up close, but the armour is reflected in the game. Sure, the game may have looked way better on a more powerful system, but the excellent art direction of the game makes up for that!
@ThumperUK: Thanks for mentioning that, I would not have seen that myself.
EDIT: The ZIP-file doesn't work! It's corrupted or something, downloading it again does not work...
Good to see it sells well. That'll be the best reason to release a North American edition of this game.
If it doesn't get released; here's your Chrono Trigger North America. (eventually that game got a re-release on Wii and DS, so hope is always there)
In the meantime, I'm off to town to pick up what looks like one of the Wii's absolute finest, thus adding a great game to my collection while also making the possibilty of our North American friends to get it one day.
It excells in storytelling, graphics, music, characters and gameplay. It doesn't have an overly complicated battle system, yet manages to remain deep and add some innovations much needed at the time. The most notable one is how battles play out directly on the field, instead of those annoying random battles.
Chrono Trigger is absolutely unforgettable in any possible way.
I think the main problem was the mediocre launch line-up. The fact that the 3DS doesn't seem that much different to casual audiences doesn't help either.
I'm interested in picking one up now. Not just because you can get them as cheaply as €160,- but also because there finally seems to be a decent line-up coming together.
Fancy this: The other day I saw a DSi XL that was actually €10,- more expensive than the 3DS lying next to it.
As long as smartphones do not provide an alternative for hardcore experiences, and are only capable of running casual things like Angry Birds, I prefer a good old gaming-centered system like 3DS or the new PS Vita. The day a game like Ocarina of Time would be properly playable on a smartphone is still not upon us, and will not be for a few years at least.

Oh God, yes. That would be a great idea.

Probably one of those third versions or perhaps a remake of Ruby and Sapphire.
Re: Review: Blaster Master: Enemy Below (3DS Virtual Console / Game Boy Color)
I didn't know there were any sequels other than the one on WiiWare.

Re: Register 2 3DS Games and You Could Win a Mario 3DS
Why would I want a 3DS if I register 3DS games? Chances are that you just might already have one if you register games for it.
Re: Nintendo America Posts Xenoblade Art on Facebook
This game is awesome. I'm not surprised seeing how well it does here.

Re: Review: 3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure (3DSWare)
The GBA version, released as Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, was amazing. Too bad this one doesn't have much added content.
Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii)
Judging from reviews, this one really seems even better than the magnificent Ocarina of Time.
Re: 3DS Heading for Bigger First Year Sales Than DS
It all depends on the games, which are promised to be coming along nicely starting this month.
Re: Pandora's Tower Makes European Trailer Debut
Looks good! Might wanna check this out.

Re: Feature: Ten Years of Golden Sun
These games are great. The only thing that annoys me is how unnessecarily long the dialogue is.

Gaepora? So the owl from Ocarina of Time is actually the spirit of one of Zelda's ancestors?

Re: Feature: Staff Memories of the Game Boy Advance
I still can't decide if this or the DS is the better handheld, but the GBA, the SP in particular, was the best of the Game Boy systems.
Re: Fresh Dragon Quest X Screenshots and Trailer Inside
I'm impressed! This looks amazing!
Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword Video is a Real Treasure
The Hyrule in this game seems to be much like Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess, while the sky world is more like the sea in Wind Waker. Looks really cool.

Re: Kirby Makes His Return to Dreamland on 24th October
Too much Kirby goodness to keep track of the last year or so.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Readying Big Announcement Next Month
Perhaps a 3DS Pokémon game. Or something Zelda-related. And the Wii U is off course likely.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles Assaults UK Top 10
They are really stupid if they don't put out a North American version now.

Re: Kirby Mass Attack Trailer Storms the Stronghold of Your Brain
This game looks interesting. (There is an overkill of Kirby on the DS by the way. Thankfully so far it's a good mix of traditional and innovative.)
