I don't see the problem here. Yes it is a bit disappointing, but I just don't see anyone buying a brand new console to play older games. My hope is that they'll take this time to carry over some of the already released VC titles, but that's a lot of wishful thinking on my part.
A lot of my friends say that they couldn't pre-order the Switch due to stock selling out everywhere. Even when some places get new stock, it very quickly sells out. So, no, I wouldn't say there would be enough stock at launch, quite the contrary in fact. Although given how the Wii U massively flopped, I can't say I blame Nintendo for wanting to play it safe.
That is really unfortunate. MH Stories was the only MH game that actually looked interesting to me. But I guess with the poor sales, on top of all the character licensing and amiibo, they wouldn't bring this over westside. Although, with the character licensing it's as easy as simply cutting them out.
I don't get all this negativity surrounding this. For what it is worth, kudos to them for having the immense patience and will to challenge themselves.
I think people here are being a little too harsh. I don't have the craftsmanship to make something like this, so props to Anna for making this. And for what it's worth, I do find it utterly adorable.
Considering that the entire screen gets obscured when docked, this is hardly surprising in the slightest.
I enjoyed having a second screen with the Wii U for some games, namely Super Mario Maker and the Zelda ports, but it is not a feature that I would miss. The fact that I can still play this off-TV is good enough for me.
At this point, I'm not even surprised in the slightest. Waiting for the NX has honestly gotten very tiresome this past year, not that I expected them to unveil it during the briefing anyhow. I think I'm just about done.
I don't see the problem with porting the games to mobile phones. I could understand reservations if Capcom shifted its focus and started developing the games only for mobile phone systems, but these are just direct ports. It's harming nobody.
That said, I'm surprised Apollo Justice wasn't already ported.
I've never used StreetPass, mostly because I never take my 3DS with me when going out. With so many opportunities to drop it, or worse yet, someone stealing it, I would rather keep it safe at home. The rewards for StreetPass weren't all that great anyway.
The "Just for you" offers could be improved exponentially if there was a way to record the games you already own, a lot like what Club Nintendo used to do. Then the offer wouldn't recommend already owned games. At least that would be one suggestion I would make.
I used My Nintendo only for Twilight Princess Picross. Had I known that its deadline would have been extended indefinitely, I would have gotten WarioWare Touched before missing out on that. But aside from Picross, there has been nothing of interest with the rewards. The 3DS themes are bland, the costume rewards are pointless as Miitomo never properly worked for me, and the gold coin discounts don't really cut the costs. Plus I'm more in favor of owning physical copies.
In short, there's really nothing at My Nintendo and its lost my interest a long time ago. If they added more original content or exclusive ports, things that are actually worth saving up for, then I would use it more.
I have plenty of games, and more important things, to keep myself preoccupied, so I'm not exactly in a personal rush to see the NX revealed. Yet in the same light I cannot help but feel concerned with the level of silence there is. The closer we get to the proposed month of March without an announcement, the more worried I am that the NX is not going to have enough time to generate interest, and most importantly - awareness, by the time it launches. I am fearing a repeat of the Sega Saturn of sorts. Plus the closer we get to the holiday season, then the more likely people are going to purchase a competing console as opposed to saving their money for the NX. This is all disconcerting to watch.

Re: Wonder What Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's New amiibo Do? Wonder No Longer
@LiberatedAnimal If you read my post, I was referring to what the back of the packages said.
Re: Wonder What Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's New amiibo Do? Wonder No Longer
@Nico85 Yeah, that's what I meant.
Re: Wonder What Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's New amiibo Do? Wonder No Longer
The real question is whether these items are exclusive to the amiibo, or just "rare" as the packaging says they are.
Re: GameStop Director on Demand and Timing for the Switch
@Snader Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Wii U launch with more units?
