Re: Mini Review: Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection - A Great But Gouging, Exploitative Package

RID1EY

Has anyone played the physical release and encountered any problems?

No mention of the terrible English in the description for the original Wonder Boy. Seriously who proof read that?

Then we have System 16's Wonder Boy III Monster Lair that's rendered unplayable when you activate unlimited lives in the options since it won't let you add credits to start the game.

I noticed the garbled graphics for tornado spell in Master System's Dragon's Trap.

There are probably more if anyone wants to add to this list as I have contacted the developers or publishers by email requesting a patch.

Re: Nintendo Is Ending Support For The 3DS & Wii U eShop

RID1EY

What are the best 3D EXCLUSIVE eshop games? (I got all the SEGA 3D Classics)

What happens to Badge Arcade... Can we still access our collection to toggle and view...
Nintendo should address this some of us payed money into it. They need to plan it to be offline accessable.

Re: Free Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Training Set Available To Switch Online Subscribers

RID1EY

I might be wrong but I think the article and the offer only states you get level up material and in games currency ...not new spirits

100 X large snack would be much better but whatever!

My gripe with this game is the DLC price tag ...that first pass should include everything Nintendo, Mii outfits etc or at least be around the £10 - £15 price range if another fighters pass was planned...

£46 for 10 + characters? Really? No one forces you but Nintendo really like preying on the compulsives recently.

Re: Hideki Kamiya Thinks The Switch Home Menu Is A "Piece Of Crap"

RID1EY

Keep it simple please. If my switch broke I can get another and link my account and to the best of my knowledge not loose anything.

The 3DS is one of my favourite consoles ever but having recently just lost 10 years of street pass, puzzle swap, face raiders, AR, Friends, Mii's all tied to the complex unit and internal save. It's made me appreciate the Nintendo pre DSi/Wii era... with simplistic consoles and basic interface.

I know people are asking maybe for simple custom options but I like this back to basic approach Nintendo has with the Switch Home menu.

Re: Two Puyo Puyo Games Are Being Added To The Sega AGES Line

RID1EY

@Synthatron_Prime

Released yesterday (14/03/19) in Japan ...no mention of it on this site.

Wonder if it will get a release outside of Japan? Probably get announced after I've imported it!

Be good if it had at least an English Language option in some form as most of it would have been done for the STEAM release.

Re: Two Puyo Puyo Games Are Being Added To The Sega AGES Line

RID1EY

not sure if Nintendo Life has covered this yet but SEGA also releasing new Shining game in March for SWITCH ...Blade Arcus from Shining Rebellion. No word of a release outside Japan as of yet but fingers crossed... it's has New Characters from Shining Resonance and online like the steam release.

Re: Poll: Is Your Nintendo Switch Cracking Under The Pressure?

RID1EY

Nintendo get worse and worse!

Faulty Joy-Con on my Switch, back of unit getting scratched in dock because of ill conceived design! (thankfully I have a screen protector on which saved me a nasty scratch)

3DS design fault with closing it shut and marking screen.

My 3rd new 3DS which I treated like the Holy Grail with case and screen protector developed a manufacturing issue fault with system overheating in first 3 months. Nintendo 'repaired' it... Came back scratched up with a inner blemish on bottom screen that they are trying to deny responsibility for. This is modern Nintendo standards!

Re: Sega's Shining Series Returns To The West After A Decade Away, And It's Coming To Switch

RID1EY

If anybody is unsure of the 'Shining' series in it's current state - Shining Resonance continues in a rebooted series by a producer (Tsuyoshi Sawada) who has now left SEGA... (Resonance and Blade Arcus from Shining - which is the beat 'em up you mentioned that got a Western release on STEAM) were his final games. Tsuyoshi Sawada is credited for his work on GAMEBOY ADVANCE's Shining Soul 2 but took the reigns from there on out on everything but the spin - off's that do not follow the same continuity. Some might remember a DS title Shining Force Feather this and a few others are not part of Resonances 'world'. Tsuyoshi Sawada actually did some work on Breath of the Wild since leaving Sega. The Tsuyoshi Sawada reboot has many different types of roleplaying games ...the peak is most certainly Shining Blade released in 2012 for PSP. Fantastic game and nailed 'Shining' wholeheartedly!

This game is somewhat disconnected from the rebooted series story and themes but set in the same world so is ideal for a Western release for a series that has had no love outside Japan and does not confuse a new (or old) audience with fussy plot elements.

I'm really looking forward to playing it on my Switch and the Soundtrack is superb!
