@TryToBeHopeful I'd say yes, I just can't get enough of this kind of games (I'm not very good at them but I like playing for fun). The mechanics look very interesting but personally I don't need "LOOK AT ME I CAN SHADERS!" or various other unnecessary features. I mean I don't have anything against any of it but not for me.
Probably it's just me, I see Tetris Connect is 25 Euros (Edit: currently on discount, usually it's almost 35) and people are buying it. I prefer original Tetris (bought a GBA SP just so I can play that)
In ay case best of luck to the developer(s), looks like a talented fellow(team)!
I love smurfs! But why is the trailer so short? We barely get to see what is the game like. I mean I get it's meant to be a teaser but I prefer to be teased with proper gameplay footage.
Really strange they insisted on showing 1.5m mark in the American version of the trailer and censored it here. Obviously other differences are interesting too but this one doesn't make much sense.
"We’re going to release a new game next month or something that we made in two months and it’s about a multiple murderer who hates dolphins and talks to God and the soundtrack was recorded on wax cylinder."
This sounds so 2015~2020 it`'ll be in future art history books as an illustration of the zeitgeist.
@OorWullie Actually this looks pretty good, can it also rotate the picture 90 degrees? Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere in the reviews nor product specification. Sorry for a dumb question but I don't know much about projectors.
It does look a bit basic at first but if you accept the challenge and try to make huge combos it becomes a game that you play against your own weaknesses as a player, but at the same time you can play it in any style you want. Even Tetris or Pacman don't give you that same amount of freedom (two of my other all time favs), for example in Tetris you always kind of depend on the long piece.
Also the game controls are so easy and robust that it never gets in the way, quite similar to Flametail / Trailblaze: Puzzle Incinerator.
Another point in favor of this particular port is that nothing actually gets in the way, unlike say Switch versions of Neogeo's Magical Drop 2/3 (another of my all time fav) where setup screens (Hamster's loader) and death screens always make you wait.
Bought this a few days ago, it's fantastic! Even things that are not really my cup of tea are well done technically speaking. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this game.
I bought Starlink, unfortunately I really didn't like it It's really hard to say why exactly, it looks good, it sounds good, the engine is shiny and solid, the controls make sense most of the time… I guess it's just not for me.
Edit: some parts of Minority Report were actually quite good! But the rest… heh. I still remember that part where you had to jump over some instant kill flames while the camera would get stuck in a pipe or something.
Farmville should definitely win… in the category "applied psychology". All other entries in the list are something that can be played (in the case of Mattel Football I'm just assuming, but let's say).
It's a good game, super straightforward and solid. There are some really stupid parts (jumping over the lasers) but I like it anyway. It's a bit irritating how I'm required to mash the fire buttons the whole time but alright, I got an auto fire option at the end of the game.
I see how it might fail to excite people though, everything about it is just so cold and modernist. Feels like a game done by a rational urban planner.
I like this game so much I played through it 4 times or something like that, it's basically a point and click adventure with a bit of combat thrown in, super solid game design.
I'll finally get Mr.Driller (which I already have on GC, what a fantastic game) and Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus (already bought Pac-Man Museum edition but this reimagining looks great).
Tales of Vesperia and other games look great too, but I don't play such games anymore.

And just to check it on Steam… 7 Euros. ok, pass from me

Re: Review: Tumblestone (Switch eShop)
I really like this game, the art direction is really off-putting but the game mechanics and controls are great.

I actually like vanilla flavor, it's sad people use it as a derogatory term.

Isn't GBA capable of more than this? For example unmodded C64 can play this at 25fps.

Very nice, looks like a more arty and actiony version of Pikmin.
Except for… I can't really put my finger on it but the design of the main character is somehow weirdly off putting.
