Reading these comments makes me feel like I played a different game than everyone else hahaha. Thought the game was bloody awful and wouldn't touch a sequel without some MAJOR changes.
I'd rather they just released it on the Eshop in some form rather than a remake tbh. Graphically it still holds up without fiddling with it and paying for some 3d that wouldn't really add much to the game seems kinda pointless.
A new title that isn't a pile of crap like Sticker Star would be even better though.
Nintendo DOES have a responsibility to stop games of this kind.
Wait... the problem is the ridiculous anime boobage rather than the fact (going by my experience of renting the first) the game will probably be awful?
@aaronsullivan I read the blurb for 10000000 and thought it sounded awful, then watched a random youtube vid and thought it looked kinda fun, then got it on Steam for fairly cheap and was hooked for a good while ;p
Hadn't heard of Dungeon Raid but a quick look makes it look pretty similar to 10000000, might grab it one day if I'm bored. Thanks for informing me of it's existence ;p
I'm genuinely curious how much profit they're gonna get for this. Making the actual game can't have cost much unless they were insane and threw a 50 person team at it for 6 months or something.
They can't need that many people to buy stuff for every purchase afterwards to be pure profit.
Personally I got bored of this pretty sharpish so doubt I'll go back and definitely won't be paying for anything. Only Match 3 game type thing that ever gripped me was 10000000.
May grab Tengami for cheap if I'm bored and that's it. Might do a bit of research on those nes games and see if they're any good though, not even heard of either of em.
I'm surprised that people are getting so heated about this hahaha.
It'll be getting sorted soon anyway, not to stop the "hackers" or improve stability, but because it's stopping some money for basically nothing getting into Nintendo's big gold vault swimming pool.
Yay! Wario in his proper attire rather than the Village People reject Nintendo seems to be trying to push to make us forget the good games he was in ;p
This just made me cancel my Smash Wario Amiibo Preorder haha
The sad thing is... they'll most likely blame the poor Wii U sales on Wii U owners not buying 3rd party titles rather than admitting they made a big steaming pile of poop.
@Bass_X0 I see what you're saying, but I see it like this. If the list of good and bad points was say... as long as your comment, it takes what, 10 seconds max to read?
Skimming a quick summary would obviously take longer to read than some random number but you're also getting a hell of a lot more detailed info than "5/10" which could mean a few different things depending on you and the reviewer. If a number score meant the same thing to every single person then I would more than likely agree with ya.
Can't think of anyway to let a person know in a list what to expect without using numbers other than saying Good, Average or Bad though... which isn't exactly ideal either ;p
@Bass_X0 I don't think a list of scores is particularly important. If I'm interested in whether a game is good or not I'd read more than just some random number. I'd just have a mouse over link that brings up the summary paragraph or something and list em alphabetically or by date etc. If there weren't so many people who just ignore games under a certain number then a score would be fine.
This is obviously just one guy's opinion though. shrug
I'd get rid of the scores altogether personally. The values can be too different depending on the person reviewing or reading the review. Like for me, a 5 would be average but most sites (and a hell of a lot of people) seem to see a 5 as awful.
A decent summary paragraph at the end or a list of pluses and negatives at the end with a short summary is far better.
Well... if I didn't buy Toki Tori and Rush the other day I'd probably grab them...
Other than that it's a pretty poor week for me. Chariot is a tad pricey for my stinginess at the mo, I'll be playing my huge back log while waiting for a price drop methinks.
Meh. Bit of a crappy week for me personally. Had Cap'n Toad for days and I'm not buying another Fire Emblem til I finish the other one. Not interested in anything else (or already have them).

Re: Nintendo DS And Nintendo 64 Games Finally Coming To The Wii U Virtual Console
Just a heads up, DK64 is out now in the UK (and I assume EU) so get collecting those nanners folks!

But yeah, opinions.

Re: Poll: Vote For Your Ten Must-Play Games On Nintendo 3DS
Found it pretty hard to think of 10 "Must Play" games from that list to be honest.
Re: Sega Producer Explains Exactly What Went Wrong With Sonic Boom
Had any of the people in the focus group ever played a sonic game?!
Pity none of them decided to say "I would like a game that isn't a complete mess."
Re: Nintendo Australia Confirms Fourth Wave of amiibo Locked in for Late April
I preordered a Wario amiibo ages ago but cancelled it when the rumour mill spat out the fact a Wario in his proper attire may arrive eventually.
Hope I never made a mistake ;p

Nintendo DOES have a responsibility to stop games of this kind.
Wait... the problem is the ridiculous anime boobage rather than the fact (going by my experience of renting the first) the game will probably be awful?
Weird.
Re: Nintendo Download: 12th March (Europe)
Better than last week anyway...
Still, most likely just Zero Mission for me. Maybe a Switch Force or 2 if I have the urge.
Re: Nintendo Confirms Wil Wheaton as Voice Actor for Abraham Lincoln in Code Name S.T.E.A.M.
Well... at least I'll get to shout "Shut up Wesley!" at my 3ds

Meh, worst week in recent memory for me :/

Re: Poll: Are You An Early Adopter With The New Nintendo 3DS?
For a few (admittedly pretty decent) new features I don't really think it's worth dropping the cash for a new 3ds.
If my XL and circle pad thingy ever spontaneously combust then I'll most likely grab one pretty sharpish. Until then... I'll pass.

Re: Weirdness: BAFTA Appears To Have Clean Forgotten That The Nintendo 3DS Even Exists
The BAFTAs have always been a load of shash anyway. Don't think I've trusted any opinion from them for years.

Re: Nintendo Launches Beta of 'Creators Program' for YouTube
Way to mildly screw over the people who actually advertise your games Nintendo.
Good thing you're doing such a bang up job yourselves... oh wait...
Re: Splatoon Confirmed for May Release Along With Details on Customisation
I really, REALLY hope they have a demo for this. It looks pretty fun but I'd rather see how it plays before I decide to buy it.
Re: Pokémon Shuffle is a Match-Three Game With Slightly Worrying Micro-Transactions
I'll most likely download it. I'll probably play it for an hour then forget it exists though.
Re: Nintendo Download: 15th January (Europe)
Demon's Crest is basically the only thing I'm interested in or don't already have.
Might grab Teslagrad though. Maybe.

Still waiting on the Castelvania games tbh...
Re: Review: Xeodrifter (3DS eShop)
I was looking forward to this but the shortness has kinda dulled my interest tbh.
I'll probably buy this on PC when it's cheap rather than wait 700 years for it to appear on EU 3DS eshop now. Pity :/
Re: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Pre-Purchase and Pre-Load Now Available on the eShop
It's good for the people who like having everything digital I suppose.
Personally I prefer waiting for a game to come through the post for £10-£20 cheaper...
