Re: Review: Old Man's Journey (Switch eShop)

Don't play this. It's painful.

I was hoping for an experience like Journey but this is tedious and not a good story. If one person doesn't play because of reading this it will ease the pain I endured. Had I paid more than the $2 it was on sale for I'd be crying right now.

Don't be curious like me, just don't play it. You were warned.

Great online game. Excellent. Many updates since review.

You get 10 game saves now. You can join people online and quit anytime and restart from there the next day with you as host.

Re: Batman: Arkham Origins Will Be Cheaper on Wii U

I bought this on ps3 (or 360 can't remember) last year to play in 3d which was awesome. I don't think they do 3d anymore, ping me if I'm wrong.

I already preordered it on Wii u awhile ago. Gamepad baby, I'm loving it with splintercell, Rayman and Pikmin 3.

Re: Review: Rage Of The Gladiator (3DS eShop)

I gave it five stars on the eshop this weekend, bought it based off the wiiware review. Definitely a fun game and I like the interesting characters. I have to go back and re-fight people to earn better armor now, half way through the 2nd level.

Re: Review: BUGS vs. TANKS! (3DS eShop)

Noend

My son and I have copies and both love it. Our favorite is trying to find the broken down tanks on each mission to create funny new combinations and paint.

I can see the reviewers point but we play in small chunks each day so it never gets boring for us.

We can do the co-op missions which are exciting as their are so many close calls (and failures too!). I'm glad it's not easy.

Re: BUGS vs. TANKS!

@Gioku

The tank models look great and as a fan of tanks, it was a must buy. Takes about 3-4 hours to beat depending on how many times you have to replay levels. There are some frustrating parts where so many bugs come it's hard not to die the first time and then you have to come back with a better strategized plan of attack.

I like it, got a copy for my son too. The co-op missions are way too hard for us as two. I think they are meant for four. Although, he hasn't got a powerful tank yet and that might help.

Re: Need For Speed Rivals Not Screeching Onto Wii U

Noend

@P-Gamer-C It's not noteworthy at all. Your comment "if you really game" supports this because "if you really game" you would own all the systems (like me) and you would visit other sites and already KNOW what they are getting and could put it together that the Wii U is not getting it.

Push Square doesn't list what they aren't getting.

It's traffic driving headlines and not noteworthy news.

Re: Shin'en Multimedia Defends The Wii U Hardware

They have lots of good eshop games, I know I have seen their logo on others not mentioned here and have took notice. I am sure I will be buying their next one too.

I have my easily upgradeable PC if I want to oohhh and aww over graphics. Graphical feats last for about 15mins then you better have some new and fun ideas or the game will fail. Forget graphics, bring on the fun games!

Re: Review: ATV Wild Ride 3D (3DS eShop)

Noend

I just got it on sale 5.99 and definitely worth that.

Control issues are as described. Clipping hasn't bothered us.

No one online, considering a second copy so we can local play.

One con, game gets too hard for the kids after first couple circuits.

Re: Talking Point: The Download or Disc Dilemma

Noend

I download cheap games. I want to buy a 3DS XL and download some of my games to the new system and leave some on the old system for my son. I can't do this and that's why I don't buy a 2nd system and why I don't buy expensive digital games. I bought Fire Emblem digitally and I regret it because I can't move it to a 3DS XL that I want to buy but can't because of Nintendo's policy. Nintendo loses sales, pirates continue to pirate. I lose, Nintendo loses, pirates shrug.

Re: Wii U Version of Need For Speed: Most Wanted Unlikely To Get DLC Support

Noend

A lot of Wii U owners own multi-platforms...saying no DLC for Wii U kind of makes the Wii U lose share of the new sales to begin with.

Anyway, I don't buy NFS games anymore, just like most franchises afer EA buys the franchise and turns them into a cash grab.

Also, it's EA, so their servers have a good chance of just plain not working.

Re: Review: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Wii U)

Noend

I'm so glad the saves can be transferred 3DS to Wii U and Wii U to 3DS. I got both through the pre-order deal.

Very good review. This will be my first Monster Hunter. I got a beginners guide from Culty.

Re: Miyamoto: Mobile Competition Actually Helps Wii U

Noend

I have been switching to all digital content so format playback is actually not needed. I only buy 3D bluray, everything else is digital....except games only because of Nintendo having a terrible console linking of games instead of to an account ala steam.

Re: Review: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate (3DS)

Noend

Are there a lot of timed sections. Like in the demo where u throw a switch and have to race to the door?

I loved the look and combat of the demo but I'm not interested in that type of gameplay in a game like this so will be holding off until I can find out.

Lot of comments so if anyone replies tag me please.

Re: Crystal Dynamics Explains Why Tomb Raider Isn't Coming To Wii U

Noend

Wii U has a controller exactly like PS3 and 360 so this makes no sense.

Anyway Wii U misses out on the politically correct boy looking Lara, boo hoo.

I'll pick this up in the steam summer sale for <$10 and play it for an hour before realizing it's just overhyped and nothing special..

Re: Talking Point: The Emergence of Download-Only Retail Games

Noend

Tie games to an account, no re-download restrictions when your signed in....see steam, Microsoft, itunes, Google play, psn, game fly...etc etc

I would own plenty of digital downloads through Nintendo if they did . Never buying a $40 game that's tied to one system. Ever.

Re: Review: The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn (3DS)

Noend

Picked this up cheap after we just saw the movie and everyone loved it. My 4yo and I are both loving the game. The platforming is still a bit hard for him in spots but overall we like it and the time attack (coop optional) levels.

As a movie tie-in game this is a definite recommend as I was pleasently surprised by the enjoyment we are getting out of this title.
