Re: More Details Emerge on the Launch of My Nintendo

MrSeitaro

@Yoshi

As far as I remember, you can't access the eShop with 2 different consoles of the same kind, for example 2 Wii Us or 2 3DS, that's why when you get a new 3DS you have to do the system transfer thing, what this means is that you can download the games on other systems and not be forced to have your information and games on just 1 console.

For example I have 2 3DS, one is XL and the other one is the first ones that were released and I can't have my games on both, I had to do the system transfer when I got the XL. If this is what that means, it'd be awesome for families that have multiple 3DSs or planning to upgrade to a new one.

Re: Hands On: Finding Work and Adventure in Bravely Second: End Layer

MrSeitaro

I also wish they don't do that cheap thing they did on the first one with the almost-final-part of the game, it sucked and it was extremely tedious. I also hope the game doesn't feel like a 1.5 version of the first one, you know, by following the same pattern: awake 4 crystals, defeat boss, win (to avoid spoilers), they need to improve on the storytelling because I feel that's the weakest point in BD, it was too shallow and predictable.

If they improve the storytelling and fix the broken-ness of some jobs to prevent us from clicking on the same commands for half-game onwards, then I'll be totally sold.

Re: Review: Final Fantasy Explorers (3DS)

MrSeitaro

Note to people:

This game isn't a typical Final Fantasy experience and it's more suited to people that like the Monster Hunter formula: story is non-existant, you'll repeat and kill the same enemies A LOT, really A-LOT to get the materials you want to craft that new piece of armor or weapon. If you don't have people to gather in a living room and play, or go online with them to play...you'll be missing out on the whole point of this kind of games. You can play it solo just fine, but you'll get bored really soon.

I've played both MH and this one, and it does feel like an entry-point to the MH games. It kinda shows you the way and tells you what to do with this item or that one...where MH just tells you: "explosive barrel", "pellet". I feel the combat is more entertaining and the game can flow a bit faster (IMHO). Yet again, be aware that (I cannot repeat this enough times) this game is intended to be a multiplayer game, just like Tri Force Heroes, that's where this game shines and gets fun and you get it's money value...you'll drop it and you'll wish to trade it in for another game after 5-6 hours if you play it all by yourself.

Re: Reaction: The Nintendo 'NX', and Why We Think a Unified Platform is the Future

MrSeitaro

Nintendo needs to release a better console, I'm done with their failed attempts to bring new, modern ways to play and seeing them lack great titles that everyone else can enjoy (don't get me wrong, I don't care about Glitchissin's Creed, Fap of Duty or anything like that, but I hate that I can't play FO4, Witcher 3, FF XV, Bloodborne or any other title like that on a Nintendo console since the Gamecube). If Nintendo releases yet another underpowered console or this unified "platform" to play the same games on WiiU and 3DS then I'll sell my WiiU and buy a PS4. I love Nintendo's games, but as I said, sometimes you want to play something that is not colorful, family-friendly and happy and Nintendo lacks those titles...yes, there are titles like those on Wii U, I know, but they are like 4-5 that are really worth it.

Re: Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei Dated For a 19th April Release in the West

MrSeitaro

No. Just...no.

I had played Langrisser games before, but some guy posted the first hour of gameplay on YouTube and wow those battle animations suck badly, 2 chibby "things" meet at the center of the battle zone and do some clunky animations, and that's it. This is honestly no match for Fire Emblem, it used to be...but these animations look like SNES era at best, it's ok to try to bring out the nostalgia factor sometimes, but this is ridiculous. It'd be ok if this was some indie release on the eShop for $9.99, but if they plan to release this as a $39.99 game...just, no.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates Releases In North America On 19th February, Special Triple Edition Also Confirmed

MrSeitaro

@greengecko007 As far as I know the 2 "starting" versions are completely different, they are not like Pokemon Blue/Red which is basically the same thing but with some exclusive Pokemon in each version...Birthright and Conquest follow separate stories, characters, battles and everything and Revelations is the big outcome. It may feel expensive, but $70 for 3 3DS games isn't that scamming.

Check this link out: http://www.gameskinny.com/gpuya/fire-emblem-fates-the-differences-between-birthright-and-conquest it explains the differences between the 2 games (Birthright and Conquest) (remember they have already been released in Japan)

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Is Receiving A High-Definition Face Lift

MrSeitaro

I have varied opinions about this...
1) Nintendo is abusing the amiibo stuff and it will make the "amiibo fever" become tiring and too forced, I mean, what function could a Wolf Link amiibo have on TP? To be honest I just bought 4 amiibos because they are my favourite Ninty characters, but I barely use them. The fact that Nintendo is putting amiibo stuff and even locking games' content if you don't have any is becoming frustrating.

2) I'd like Nintendo to clarify if the footage shown on the trailer is the original TP or the HD one, if it's the HD I can't see any difference.

3) I think they could have released this as a Virtual Console game, instead of charging $50 for a game that was actually released 1 gen before this one, don't get Sony'ed or Microsoft'ed, Nintendo..not you. Even though I agree it would be better to release the Gamecube version because of the controls, releasing the GC version on VC could have marked the beginning of Gamecube games on the VC -there are so many great games on that console-, imagine being able to play Mario Sunshine, Baten Kaitos, even damn Smash Melee.

Re: Michael Pachter Thinks Miitomo Will Have Trouble Tempting People Away From Facebook

MrSeitaro

As much as I agree in the fact that this "game" that is also a "social network" is a bit disappointing -even though I have no interest for mobile gaming-, Pachter is the worse "analyst" there is, he "predicted" the 3DS would fail and the Vita would reign over because of its superior technology, he has a trend of always bashing at whatever Nintendo releases and he's constantly praising anything else. The guy is a bad joke.

Re: Analysis: There Are Reasons to be Optimistic About Nintendo's Financial Results

MrSeitaro

For the love of God, Nintendo, make the NX a more profitable console. Stop the nostalgia trend, stop using outdated structures for online playing, stop forcing amiibos into everything that comes out (I can't give less f*cks about amiibo, I only bought 3 because they are from my beloved franchises (Samus, Sheik, Zelda)), give us GAMES, I'm fine by playing 1st party games, but sometimes I wish we had some of the PS4 games that are directed towards a more mature audience and WiiU has little to none of this kind of games, I get tired of colorful charming family friendly titles, as much as I love the heck out of Mario 3D World, Smash, etc, I wish there was, for example, a Fallout 4 version for the WiiU, or Witcher 3, or Skyrim, or whatever!

WiiU is the only "new-gen" console I own, and I don't plan on buying a PS4 or a Bone, but if the NX offers a more wide palette of gaming genres, I'll be sold day one. Make the NX a solid console, with an awesome controller like the Wii Pro Controller or the GameCube's, with a solid online gaming and as previously stated: sold, day one.

Re: Red Fly Studio is Trying to Resurrect the Cancelled Nintendo Exclusive Darth Maul Game

MrSeitaro

I didn't play Force Unleashed on the Wii, but they really didn't have that good material to work with, if they just ported the 360/PS3 versions then there's not much they could have done, those games were pretty bad IMHO. Doing some research they seem to develop these licenced games that turn out to be sub-par: Ghostbusters, Thor and the Out of the Shadows game of the TMNT series which wasn't very well received. So...we can only hope they will actually do a better job with this if it goes through.

Re: Aonuma Talks the Legend of Zelda's 30th Anniversary, Working as Fast as Possible on Zelda U

MrSeitaro

I don't get the HD fuzz for Twilight Princess, I love the heck out of that game but I'd be more than fine if they just released it for Virtual Console, I don't need HD graphics to enjoy it. Hell I could even buy the Wii version and play it but it's honestly impossible to find that game here where I live. The new Zelda will be on Wii U, saying it won't come out on WiiU because he didn't call it "Zelda U" is ridiculous, have you ever seen a Zelda game with the console's signature on its title? There's no Super Legend of Zelda or Ocarina of Time 64, Skiiward Sword (lol), there's no reason to think just because he didn't say "Zelda U" it won't come out on said console.

I can't wait, since I can't care less for Tri Force Heroes, and I could only play the first 2 levels of Hyrule Warriors before dying due to boredom.

Re: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Passes Four Million Global Sales

MrSeitaro

For people that haven't ever liked a MH game...I used to be one of you, I hated the MH games on PSP, they threw so much stuff at me that I never hooked. MH4U is totally different, it's a really welcoming experience for MH noobs like me and you should really try it out, it's a great experience...and if you manage to get some friends over that also have the game, you're gonna have a blast of a time, it can also be played online, but nothing beats being able to locally play with your friends while snacking and drinking some beers.

Re: Video: Here's Some More Footage of The Legend of Legacy

MrSeitaro

My advice: skip this game. I love jRPGs, I love when they are challenging but the "challenge" in this is stupid, it's completely unbalanced and falls on the "cheap" category, you're grinding your ass off and get suddenly jumped by a mini-boss that wipes your party and ends the game, if you didn't save in a while by accident, you're screwed. Leveling up is tedious as the leveling up system is similar to the FF2 one, you know, you level up your weapons and skills by using them, your character doesn't level up. The story is non-existant after the first 10-15 minutes of the game, after which you'll just wander around aimlessly, get wiped by mini-bosses (they randomly appear on the map, I'm not saying the mini-boss fights on a dungeon or something are hard, they appear RANDOMLY) and get frustrated.

I liked Etrian Oddissey or SMT IV even when those were tough games, but they were fun, and SMT's story is interesting enough, this one isn't fun, at all.

Re: Review: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden (3DS)

MrSeitaro

No online mode is bad, I hate when reviewing sites take score off games for not including an online mode when single player is robust enough, but a fighting game in 2015 with no online mode is ridiculous. It's like releasing a game without a save system and use the old password system instead.

Re: Here's Some of the Changes Atlus Made to the Western Version of The Legend of Legacy

MrSeitaro

@MitchVogel Too frustrating, dude. I loved, for example, Shin Megami Tensei, Etrian Oddissey and such...but this is too much, the leveling up system is also unforgiving as it is FF 2 style, you level up weapons and skills by using them, your character doesn't level up, if a party character doesn't participate on a battle they don't get any XP at all. And you're all in a grinding attitude and you get randomly jumped by a mini boss which is too overpowered and basically stomps you in 2 turns.

The music is cool, but the story is basically non-existant, you get some story on the first minutes of the game but after that you just walk, grind and die.

Re: Here's Some of the Changes Atlus Made to the Western Version of The Legend of Legacy

MrSeitaro

Even with these changes, the idiotic difficulty is still too harsh, seriously it doesn't give you any sense of "damn! I'll get you next time!", in the random encounters you'll get a mini-boss, randomly, and it will kick your sorry a...so the ammount of grinding you need to do in the first playthrough is ridiculous and not fun, not to mention the game has almost no story. I don't mind a hard RPG, but when the hard RPG reaches frustrating limits and has a non-existant story...I'm sorry, but I'll skip this.

Re: Review: Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (3DS)

MrSeitaro

Ah, Nintendo...

You screwed it up badly this holiday season, this, that stupid Metroid-titled game, amiibo festival or whatever it's called as another AC spin-off. Mario Maker and Xenoblade will try to save it, but this was a very bad half year for Nintendo. Hope to see them do better in 2016.
