Re: Chrono Trigger

I'm tempted to download this. But hear me out, I got this game down pat.

I got three copies on the SNES, two on the PS1, and one of the DS.

Re: Playtest: The Shaft Virtual Console joystick

Thats probably an excuse and what they really meant to say was its cheaper to get the license to make a gamecube controller than a wii controller or something like that.

Eh, not really. Back when wireless controllers where coming out for the PS1, and even the PS2 if the controller used a RF frequency (It may have been IR or something else) it experienced a lag. But either way having cords is not a bad thing. Saves on battery life, and never lags.

Corey: 50,000! You scored 50,000 points on Double Dragon?

Lucas: I love the Power Glove. It's so bad.
Corey: Yeah, well, uh, just keep your Power Gloves off her, pal, huh?

Re: California Games

I remember being able to cheat in the BMX game. I think if you are the second player you can just jump up, and down. And rack points up.

Re: Cho Aniki

I really hope Cho Aniki comes state side. Its a great novelty game, and conversation piece.

Re: 1080 Snowboarding

You know I wonder if we will ever get snowboard kids. But anyway, this is a pretty good game, I wonder how the controls will work with the classic controller.

Re: Harvest Moon

Mirokunite

Oh yes! I love this game. Now if they can get HM 64 that would be really great. I got to something like year 500 in that game.

Re: Magician Lord

Mirokunite

I remember watching this game on Nick Arcade back in the early 90's. Man, those where the days... I so wanted to play this game back then.

I think I will pick it up.

Re: World Heroes

Mirokunite

I plunked many a coin into this game years ago. Glad to see it on the VC.

Anyway, if you are into fighting games I'd say go for it. If not, then just give it a look.

Re: News explosion: Neo Geo and more!

Mirokunite

Oh man! Oh man! Oh man! World Heroes! I placed many a quarter into those arcade machines many a year ago.

Anyway, I am really glad to see Neo Geo games on the VC. I mean $200 bucks back then for a game was a little insane... So 9 bucks seems reasonable nowadays.

Re: The Virtual Console Archive on German TV!

"Didn't the Hoff singlehandedly destroy the monstorous Berlin wall using just the power of his music? No wonder he's popular!"

That reminds me of what Hoff said about that thing, and that old women where all "Oh my god! Its the Knight Rider!"

But who could forget Hoff standing over the crowd of people singing "Looking for Freedom" with a piano tie?
