I like the removal of the pony tail. However, it is a shame that they covered the midriff there. Gah! What's wrong with a little skin? Guys get all the freaking eye candy... JEEZ.
"Long time fans of Nintendo Life will no doubt recall..." That makes me feel pretty great! Also I love the new video by them. I prefer it over the Zelda one.
I wish they would make an update that makes the 3DS XL screens brighter when plugged in like the original model does. -_- I feel like the screen is just dull.
To anyone who does not know, SMT 1 and SMT 2 were on the Super Nintendo, released only in Japan. Translation patches do exist, and I love those games dearly. The third entry is SMT 3: Nocturne. (The 3 in the title was dropped for the international release.) Nocturne came out for PS2 in 2004, and it was a profound experience for me.
I see many of you are asking if it is anything like Persona. Yes, and no. The game features the same demons for the most part, and does feature demon fusion, much like Persona fusion. Your party members are recruitable demons instead of your character's friends from high school. I can't speak for SMT4, but the other 3 are not nearly as character driven as the Persona series, as it does not feature social links or even half as much dialogue for that matter. These games are much more serious and dark in tone. Also the difficulty in Persona is a cakewalk compared to SMT.
Last year I got posters and I am so happy to have them. I see them every day! This year I'm opting for the soundtrack because lately I just love collecting CDs and listening to them in the car.
I've actually been very involved with my social life lately, haha. I have not been playing many games lately... well not video games anyway! xD When I have the time, or if I feel like it, I'll be playing DKC2 and/or Yoshi's Island on Super Nintendo.
So the speed is normal but the fuss is over subtitles? Really...? Wow. Probably the only time I'm proud to be American is when these PAL issues are brought up lol.
I must admit this review was beautifully written. I actually 100%'ed this game on my Super Nintendo a few days ago. Beat every level and found every secret exit. I think I'll have a go on my Wii U too. I won't be needing Miiverse for help though since I know this game inside and out. I have been playing this game for as long as I can remember!
I used to play this when I was a young child. It was really absorbing, and I definitely played it for more than five hours xD To be honest I prefer short games. Games don't always have to be a long, drawn out experience.
Not the voice of Sonic I grew up with... but I'm sure he does a fine job. Ryan Drummond is the voice of Sonic I love the most. From Sonic Adventure being his first role to Sonic Advance 3 being his last. The cast change was because of Sonic X of all things... The child within me will forever mourn the loss of his voice for Sonic. ><
When people complain about prices of games, it does not seem like they take in to consideration the amount of work and effort that many people put in to it. $15 is definitely a fair price, and I am very excited.
Oh my gosh, wow!! This is fantastic news! More games should have this option! :3 I consider myself a purist, so I will be taking advantage of this feature.
@ocarinadude14 Ys does not stand for anything... haha. It's pronounced as "ees". It is a video game series that is popular in Japan but not so much here (no idea why). Check out Ys Books I & II on virtual console, or maybe even Ys: The Oath in Felghana on Steam.
Some of you complaining and being rude makes me so mad... seriously, just like children.
Anyways... I'm beyond ecstatic for Style Savvy Trendsetters! I played the first one to death, and this one is clearly a significant improvement. So excited <3 However I think it would be better named as Style Savvy 2, or even the Japanese name for the series "Girls Mode". xD
I love this game so much, I don't understand why people don't like it. Sure, it's different. But what is life without diversity? Boring. Also, the camera may have its issues, but it's nowhere near as frustrating as the camera in Super Mario 64. It wouldn't even let you move it where you wanted it to go sometimes. It's understandable though due to it being such an early 3D game.
I would be one of those in line, if I were Japanese. I wish people cared about Pokemon and Nintendo over here. People think I'm childish for loving Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc, where in Japan it's completely normal.
I heard that Error's name was originally Errol in the Japanese version, but Japanese people have trouble making an 'l' sound so they just make an r sound instead. Basically "Engrish" lol. I forget where I heard that, who knows if that's true.
I love reading what everyone is playing (: I will be hanging out with some friends and working, but I always make time for video games. I will be playing Final Fantasy XII <3 Have a good weekend everyone!
Wow. That would be awesome if the buyer dumped the ROM so that everyone else could experience the first official NES translation. Those chances are slim to none though. Whoever purchases is very lucky!
