Yet another game marketed as "a cross between stardew valley and X"

I love this genre but that comparison is thrown about SO often, and let's be honest rarely does the game come even close to Stardew.

I think this might have been better with a more Luigi mansion or animal crossing aesthetic, still spooky but a little more pleasant to look at.. as it is I don't think I'll be picking this one up

@Anti-Matter god I feel exactly the same... the designs are so incredibly off putting.

@ComradeThom crippled is a word, meaning damage or to be hampered. This is it's original meaning, and although obviously should never be used to describe a human being (as it has been) it's not in essence a bad word or slur. The author... Is clearly not using it as a slur in this instance.

I wouldn't call this a game. It's a bunch of half thought up ideas lumped together with a layer of 'so quirky uwu' smeared on top, that really isn't enjoyable or even playable half the time. Was funny in a "so-bad-its-good" kind of way for 30 minutes but I certainly wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

@hotgamer77 not everyone has the space or resources to simply 'buy a bigger tv'. They have already forked out hundreds for the switch itself and it's games, it is up to the company to make changes to be sure these games are actually playable to the majority of its customers. And you only need to look at the above comments to see this text issue effects a large number of players.

@Yanina I'm happy to give up some superficial aesthetics if it means people with eyesight not as sharp as my own can comfortably play a game.

Oh I LOVE it. Last month I lost my nine year old dog very suddenly to cancer, it's truly like losing a part of yourself..
I'll definitely be trying this game out. Virtual pets are such a balm for the pain of losing a real one.

If this was half the price I'd think it was a fun gimmicky toy for Christmas, but as it stands it's another overpriced game-to-life that we've seen before tbh, just not in this particular coat of paint. I can't imagine it plays well and unless you have a large open area in your home where are you even supposed to play it..

I am not in a wheelchair, so honestly I don't think my opinion matters at all. This was a honest criticism from someone met with measured and responsible retribution, I don't get why people are so mad about that.

I downloaded the mobile version of this last year, played it for about twenty minutes, and never opened it again. Found it clunky, tedious and the writing was cringe.. and this sadly doesn’t look too different.

@johnvboy yeah it's definitely not as cut and dry as some people are trying to make out, it's not just lots of stuff = bad frame rate. I have areas with lots of items that are absolutely fine yet one area that isn't particularly built up has horrendous frame rates. And my island is nowhere near as fancy as some people's.

@fafonio you handled yourself very well there 😅 I also have major frame rate issues, and it's in an area that ISNT that built up.. my island isn't wildly developed, yet in the middle of my island (where I supposed there are lots of flowers?) The frame rate dips horribly, to the level where I circumvent the area and never pass through 😖 it's sad because it's one of my favourite spots. I have areas with far more items placed that don't have the issue, and other areas with lots of flowers that are fine so I really don't know what it is that makes the game act this way.
