@CowLaunch, the GBC version of the game had a whole bunch of extra characters from the story mode to play as. Can't remember the actual number, but I remember there being a fair few new humans introduced. Now I'm getting all nostalgic.
@Fonisto, that'd be because it actually was considered a sequel to the GBC game and served as a compliment to the GameCube version.
"The game was rated by an Australian organisation, so hey, Europe and North America should see it soon!"
Sorry, I get the whole "dual release" thing with Virtual Console titles. But I just found it odd you didn't reference Australia or simply the PAL region, considering the source used was... well, Australian. Eh, nitpicking.
@FigetingPigeon I'm unsure if you know this, but Axelay is available on the Australian and New Zealand server. (And it's the only VC game that's "exclusive" to us... hm.) If you change your region to one of these and have a credit/debit card to use, you can download it. It'll cost a bit more than usual due to the exchange rates, but it's a quick way for you to get it.
Those kids in the second game have creepy eyes. = / It was enjoyable though; this article's inspired me to start it again! I'd love to see NiGHTS appear in more games... it's definitely one of the more interesting videogame characters I've come across.
Advertise the games without 3D, and mention at the end of the advert to try the game out in 3D at specified retail outlets. "You have to REALLY see it to believe it," shall be the slogan.
Nice review, but Daisy also appeared in NES Open Tournament Golf, and apparently in Mario is Missing.
I'll pass on this one for now. I've already got it on the N64, and if that has more features than this version I couldn't justify the purchase. (I'll never unlock Bowser's court, though... = /)
This review did make me wonder, though... if it weren't for Camelot, would we have seen Daisy and Birdo reappear in the franchise? Would Wario ever get a partner to scheme with? God bless them.
@14: The game was never stocked in Australia (unless someone traded in a US or UK version). This is pretty much the only game that Capcom has let me down on when it comes to releases in Australia.
I remember playing a game like this on my old computer. Ah, memories. And then there was some snowboarding one where I had to avoid Yetis... I sucked at that game.
@WarioFan63: The American CrossworDS is identical to the Australian CrossworDS. I don't see why we'd get the same game twice, slapped with a different name (coughPokemoncough)... but then again, it IS Nintendo Australia I'm talking about here. >_>
@6: Nyet. CrossworDS was also released in Australia. I'd call Crossword Collection the sequel to CrossworDS... even though they seem to be pretty much the same.
I might pick this one up, actually. It's fairly cheap.
Why is it you reviewers insist on ignoring the fact that NEW Master of Illusion tricks are being released? Mind Probe was not on the freaking cartridge.
I'm fairly certain this new Master of Illusion/Magic Made Fun mini-game is an actual new trick. I've never seen it in the retail version -- and please don't say it actually is in the review for it, like what happened with Mind Probe. = /
At this point, I'd like to mention the fact that this particular trick is NOT on the retail version of Master of Illusion. I'll be downloading it when it's released on PAL servers; I get the feeling the score of this mini-game was dropped due to the reviewer's concerns that this was released on previous software.
Meanwhile, PAL gamers get to look forward to Happy Holidays: Christmas on December 4. That's what the Nintendo Channel is saying, anyway. What an awesome birthday release for me. >_>
So yeah, turns out that at my local EB Games store they had the event activated already for anyone to download it at any time, so I guess I should kinda eat my words. o^_^o Methinks you'll be able to download it at any EB without having to ask at the counter.
T'would have been nice if these events were hosted simultaneously around the country. I don't care so much about the glass thingie, but it'd be nice to be able to get the game early.
It's unfortunate for many then that the staff need to activate the event by you going up to one of them at the counter -- that's how it's worked in my past experiences with the Mystery Event, anyway.
This is definitely my favourite DSi game out thus far. The game could've easily been priced at 800 points, but good on Nintendo and Hudson for putting it at a cheaper price.
I'm one twentieth of the way to a whole crapload of free games... = / I can think of at least four more people who can help me out. And if I get really desperate, I'll start bugging potential Wii buyers at work about it. Good fun.
Oh, I see now. The thing is, the Wii Shop Channel confused me with the icon saying "Buy Wii Points with a credit card" -- I was under the impression that I couldn't use a debit/bank card. And I fail for not knowing that debit and bank cards were the same thing. XD
Anyhoo, I'm-a gonna look at that link a little bit later. Cheers for that though, I think I'm finally gonna get me some Commodore 64 lovin'. = )
To download points, one requires a VISA or MasterCard. I can't use my NAB card to download Nintendo Points. There's the problem right there, which I actually stated already.
I don't know why you're able to purchase Points online with your bank card, maybe that's just a European offer -- I can't check because I still have 200 Points on my Wii -- but the only way that many of us can get Nintendo Points would be to go into stores and purchase them there. And these points are not compatible with the European server.
That's pointed out as much as we Aussies complain about the lack of releases, and we keep saying that not everyone has access to a credit card. I'm not going to apply for one just to download a few games; I'm more than fine with my bank card.
DLC is what keeps me going back to AC. If it weren't for that, well, I'd have probably sent the game in to Nintendo Australia so they could fix that stupid compatibility problem they stuck us Aussies with. I'm sorta stuck between a rock and a hard place there -- send it in to Nintendo so I can finally transfer my character over, or miss out on a funky letter. I wonder if the newer batches have the same problems...
Mind you, I'm still missing a good chunk of the DLC. I might try to get it from someone once school's over for good.
@18: That is my biggest problem with the series. Why would they expect us to play every day to water our flowers or urge our villagers not to move away? 'Tis crap.
It kinda bugs me how sometimes you see sprites and it looks like the developer only made the left half (or right half) of it, copied it and flipped it over for the opposite side. Seems lazy.
Anyhoo, that wasn't all I came here to say. I also came to say... erm... hope it comes out on the VC eventually. Yeah, that'll do. = P
Ahhhhh... this review's making me want to play through the first two games again. Must... resist... I need to get through all my studying before I can do that.

Re: Japan Gets His 'n' Hers Wii Remote Plus Bundle This Month
Where are the His 'n' His and Hers 'n' Hers bundles? Way to discriminate, Nintendo.
Re: Nintendo Japan Unveils Ice White 3DS Console
I'm happy with my blue 3DS... but I want this one inside of me.

Re: Double Up in Sonic Colours Co-Op Multiplayer
I'm not the only one here to see a pink Sonic, right? That definitely doesn't look red to me...
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Japan Celebrating Mario's Birthday with Super Mario Collection
How awesome would it be if the games had NSMBW-style graphics? But um, I doubt that. = (
Here's hoping it reaches everywhere, and really, Nintendo would be stupid to crush that dream.

Aw, I'm hanging out for Tan. = / Ah well, it's only a virtual notebook; it's not like I'm missing anything revolutionary.
Re: myNotebook: Carbon and Pearl Team Up in PAL Regions Next Week
So... are we seeing Carbon and Tan? Or Carbon and Pearl?
I'm confused. = /

damn it.
I told myself after Let's go to the City that I wouldn't buy another AC game, but then I see this article and I find myself drooling all over it.
Just... damn.
Re: Charles Martinet Shares Your Pain, Waluigi
A Waluigi game would please me thoroughly. = 3
Shame I can't see it ever happening. I fear the poor guy's doomed to spin-off games for the time being, like Daisy and Birdo.
Re: Nnooo's Next Game Makes You a Spirit Hunter
Fire, water, ice, shadow, light and FUNGUS? Well, at least they were almost original with naming their elements.
I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Re: Nintendo Download: 9th April 2010 (Europe)
Good-o, we can access the stores again. But there's no option to download Bass or the special stages when I play Mega Man 10. = ( Laaaame!

Pfft, if anything they're probably removing crap for the sake of it. And I can't even get my Bass for MM10... = ( It can wait.
