So far my only issue is that you can't re-view tutorials; otherwise solid and has thus far avoided my usual gripes with the JRPG genre (which is the grinding and the combat).
@HammerGalladeBro I presume the reason for the lob pass being on a separate button is that in the previous game, you could only intercept the opponent's passes with a lob pass (namely, the pass button changes your character, but if you hold down ZL while pressing the pass button it will not, and your character will move to intercept if they are close enough to do so). The reason you change characters with the L button ties into that - imagine wanting to intercept a ball but instead you just change characters.
I have no explanation for the A-B swap or the lack of a button to change your item order, however.
For me it's Galaxy by quite some margin, but my opinion wouldn't be useful for this as I'd probably put 3D Land on 3 (don't ask).
Never exactly got why people liked Galaxy 2 more than one... Yes, there is more content but the levels are not necessarily better (they are a lot brighter, though, which I've always found odd cuz I love the dark starry skied levels), and the home planet is actually awful compared to the Comet Observatory. And then the level selection screen is a bunch of lines between the galaxies that you navigate like in 3D Land... Very uninspired and always rubbed me the wrong way. Part of why I loved Galaxy, though, was because I was really taken with the story of Rosalina.
@Heavyarms55 Exactly, I bought a 400 gb SanDisk with 100 mbps (obviously), and it was 5 bucks cheaper than this 256 gb one. A star really doesnt add that much value, and it shouldnt.
Did I just read over it or does Okami HD miss on this list? Arguably one of the best games ever and it plays smoothly on Switch with probably the most and best control options yet.
Absolutely loving the ride so far, ~20 hours in. The game is very enjoyable in every aspect - and although fights are not exactly hard, they are still fun to do, and when you encounter a new enemy it is challenging to figure out what it’s weakness is (although not all have a weakness, and reading the Bestiary tome in your fan gives away it’s weakness), which resulted in me getting busted up pretty hard by two flying birds with umbrellas who were almost completely invulnerable without knowing that a particular brush technique would be effective against them.
The story is sublime, and although someone complained about sound, I dont have any issues with it. The score is outstanding and never bores me. I did not play the original though.
There are some very interesting locations and the scenery, apart from the art style, is beautiful and varying.
And of course, the art style... I can’t get enough of it.
The game starts a bit on the slow side, but it picks up quickly and then it has such a fast pace it’s hard to keep up. Luckily there’s a lot to see and do outside of the main story so you can take some time off. These sequences are mostly very rewarding. I’ve had times I strayed off of what seemed to be the main path, but that eventually led to an event that was needed to continue the story as well. There is no point where the player is left empty handed with nothing to do.
There’s lots of things to collect, and things you have found, seen or heard are all stored in specific tomes. These also contain a journal, which is handy when you forgot what you needed to do.
It is satisfactory to look through all the different tomes, read data about enemies, look at the treasures you have collected or even check how many monsters you have checked off your wanted list.
The only things I would change about this game, is the text speed during the more story-heavy scenes, and the camera panning speed, which is undeniably slow. The puzzles and dungeons aren’t as mazey and deep as a dungeon you would find in the Zelda series, but it is enough for anyone who likes dungeon crawling in their adventure game.
Afaik, this game has very good replayability with a new game + and some interesting customizing options to alter your next playthrough. I do not know what exactly though.
I would give this game more than a 9, but not sure if it would be a 10 though. Probably a 9,3/9,4. I know Nintendolife doesnt do any decimal scores.
Ports are nice and all, but Id prefer them to focus on newer games. Please Nintendo, recruit Next Level Games again to make another Mario Strikers game. Tennis is nice and all but football/soccer is definitely hitting bigger than a game like Aces.
I’ve always preferred physical. We don’t have a huge collection but for a casual its above average. I like adding to the collection with every game I play. Other advantages of physical such as no storage issues, resellability make me prefer that option, and only buy digital when there is a huge advantage in price or it is a digital exclusive game.
I would love a mechanic in the game that makes you choose what kind of profession you have, and that you can have a steady income of rupees outside of adventuring. Like, you want to be a hunter, so you go hunting on animals and bring their flesh to a butcher. Or you want to be a merchant, so your whole life is a big trading quest. Things like that.
Well, maybe it wont be that fun. But it's an idea!
In a time were everyone is alone at home and plays online multiplayer, Nintendo reminds people that playing local is half the fun of gaming. Man, gaming today just keeps being poopidoopy, everyone is on PS4 and plays only shooters and agressive games, and then Nintendo comes thru with a new local multiplayer, fun, colorful game and almost nobody pays attention.
I just love Nintendo.
If they ever go down, the gaming world will become so gray and poopy...

@Claytonbob I'm pretty sure that is going to be a problem, while Nintendo says "It's not a WiiU remake" and they probably want to put more power and work in the NX itself, not in older games. I will absolutely keep the WiiU since we gave away the Wii and I'm almost 100% there won't be compatibility with Wii for the NX (Not that I want that). I'm already very happy to hear they are sure third party devs will want to make games for the NX. Especially EA. Maybe FIFA 18 on the NX? Who knows.
@beautifulstrong Hmm. I think there aren't much people who are thinking what you are thinking. Majora's Mask is a good game, but it's not a Zelda. It's different. But it's a good difference.
What do you think about Kamek in the series?
But why are the Ice Climbers gone? I hope for an update for them.
I'm all excited because you now can take Super Smash Bros. to vacation if you're bored, just have your 3DS with you!

Even the 3DS' and WiiU's eshop had a rating system. Come on Nintendo. Let people rate the games.
