I am just excited to see this option out. I hope it gets supported so other companies try it out. But I agree with others here. A service Like XBOX is offering as part of the Ultinate pass for XBOX on mobile. Same idea but a Switch instead of your phone. Heck, wouldn't it be awesome if Microsoft let Switch owners buy in to say a $10 a month game pass making the Switch work like an Android phone does to stream the same games? I mean all it would mean is boku bucks for both Microsoft and Nintendo as it would all push more subscriptiins and more sales of hardware. Win win I'd think. Why should anyone with an Android phone be able to stream games but Switch owners can't? Surely tech folks could connect the service to Switch. Just a thought.
@DanElectrode Exactly! Despite their excuses Nintendo obviously scrapped a lot of the original functionality and dumbed it down for Swirch. Sad they botched Wii U marketing because eveey game I play on Wii U vs another sytem I prefer the Wii U version. Im not a long time Nintendo fan but honestly the Wii U was the best system of the generation and tanked due to bad marketing mainly. Sure it had some issues but it was a better more ingenuitive system than all the others.
Nintendo needs to add a wifi link (ala Cross play PS4-PS Vita) between the Wii U and Switch. Then boom! Instant (limited) backwards compatibility and access to the huge Virtual Console!
They should've just ported the Wii VC to Switch. They did it with Wii U. Then everything thing is already there. Would have been easy to let people keep previous purchases too.
As someone who sold my Wii U and bought a Switch day one and soon after sold the Switch and reboiggt a Wii and haven't regretted it, this is a great idea. Just wish he'd market it. Maybe add windbreaker and best versions for warm weather. Maybe an Indiegogo idea or something.
Never finished part 2 out on pause when U heard this was coming for Wii U. I just dl'd it free for XB1 but I love the 2nd screen maps/weapons etc. and my Wii U in general. So for $20, it's a buy most likely.
Loved this on Wii U. Other than load screens this game was awesome! Honestly other than Co op, this game is actually gonna be a downgrade without the second screen and cost 3 times as much. Oh well. At least it will probably get s sequel now.
@thesilverbrick Distance is the key. How far from the Switch are you? My nephew and I are between 8 and 12 or so feet from the console. Even closer it will drop if you even let a body part pass in between the joycon and console.
If it were software they'd have it patched already. it is hardware. my nephew and I have the same problem. I've almost returned it and have it posted on Craigslist and will sell for the right price. I just really do enjoy Zelda. I just don't think it's right to be sold faulty hardware. So far Nintendo is silent too and I'm not happy.
I really wanted to go bonkers over the Switch but couldn't. Glad BOTW coming for Wii U. If it lauches in a Switch bundle for $300 I'll spring otherwise maybe holiday season. I prefer the 2nd screen on Wii U. Really disappointed to hear Lego City being re released. That deseves a sequel. I would've bought a bundle with it in it too. Other than hopefully faster load screens withiut the unique second screen the Switch(ps4,xb1,pc)versions will all be inferior to the original. Other than Zelda and a portable Skyrim I was kind of underwhelmed. Oh well.
I think the idea is pretty cool. Now it isn't steam level access but if they added Geforce Now compatibility you get an instant catalog of games on NX. If NX sells well enough the service may remain and expand.
LCU is the bets Lego game ever and one of the very best Wii U games period! The gamepad use puts most other titles to shame. The good clean and really adult aimed humor is awesome! We so need a sequel! If you haven't played this yet go get it! Check this review! https://killscreen.com/articles/review-why-lego-city-undercover-actually-gta-adults/
It may be difficult it may not. XB1 is now doing 360 games. On a powerful enough X86 machine emulators are easy enough. Look at all the emulators PC's use now. Who knows what Nintendo will do? It is just nice that in the last two systems they added backward compatability to the previous system. I hope they do that here too. It seems even more appropriate considering the earlier possible cut off on Wii U.
If it comes out in 2016 and they want to grab 3rd party support they need to make it an X86 machine so developers will develop for it beside XB1 and PS4 easily. Then give it a Nintendo twist. If they simply add cross play with 3ds games it'll be a big hit. Add a port to plug in 3ds games and it'd be even better. Huge library right off the bat. Also have backwards with Wii U. It would be easy to stream from it to the handheld section for remote play. They've been doing this with hacks for PS3 and PSP for years. Surely this could be done easily. If they want to be truly innovative and release another next gen system then they need to spend as much time as possible getting 3rd party support and guaranteeing support out the gate. Quality hardware builds are never a Nintendo issue. On top of that just buy Sega and revive some all time classic series and make the greatest system ever with the greatest and most exclusives ever!
@Cypronia I just wanted to say I bought this game having never played Minecraft but was interested in it due to all the clamor. I really avoid 8 bit games as I get frustrated at these types of games on current gen systems. However, seeing how few decent 3d games Wii U has it was a nice surprise. I tried the demo of Stoneshire and with only watching a nephew play this on my Wii U and hearing his comments and me playing literally for just a few minutes this is a much better game. All the additions people are asking for sound great. I look forward to local co op as well. Also, I thought I read somewhere there was going to be options to try to befriend some natives and build alliances, etc. Is that a reality? Anyway thanks for the game and the feedback here on the page. Developer feedback and interaction is awesome and raises my respect for you guys ten fold. I also have Cake Ninja for Wii U and it is a kick! God bless and thanks again!
Metroid Prime style with optional 3rd person view for regular suit and not just morph ball. Ala Bethesda. Also a new online shooter section to rival Halo, COD, etc. Make the mature level shooters happy too.
I'm impressed. A 3rd person action adventure game with a story exclusive to Wii U now with a price tag at Amazon of only $25! If this gets upscaled graphics and some gamepad support it will be awesome!
Now we really need all the Darksiders on Wii U. Come on Nordic!
I really like the gameplay style I saw in the demo. However, I probably won't buy it because I don't like foul mouths and soft core porn in my games. Unless I hear that there is some way to turn off the filthy content like some games do, I'm not going to waste my money. Sad. Why can't we get an excellent action adventure shooter that isn't filthy? Come on Nintendo. You of all companies could do this.

Late to the show. Lots of these from other brands on Amazon and elsewhere I'm sure. Some even work as Samsung DEX Stations too.
