As a fan of this amazing game, I say to everyone to please consider buying this game. It’s the best version. That arranged soundtrack is so good, and the visuals are much smoother. Not only that, but more people should experience this amazing story full of wacky characters.
Some… interesting opinions here to say the least. I’ll just give my own beliefs on the matter as a Christian: Children are a gift from God, and require a lot of unconditional love and attention. I feel it would benefit Japan if Christianity was more prevalent there, as they’d have more incentive to procreate.
I feel like the only one that doesn't mind Hangman's Gambit. DR1's is meh, DRV3's annoying because of the dumb spotlight mechanic (The rhythm minigame is far worse though) but DR2's is pretty decent and has a fair challenge. I think it's overhated.
@NotGeno Oh, that. I mean, it's not accurate, that's for sure, but it was more a translation issue really. They had to fit a short word in. Doesn't impact the case that much in my opinion. I think it's the 2nd best case in the game. 4, 2, 6, 1, 5, then 3 is probably my ranking.
"40 hours and not a bad one among them"
Excuse me, but can I just present to you chapter 3's trial? Especially with the killer's motive... Ew... just no.
And the ending... I'm sorry, but that ending was just hot garbage. It really brought the game down.
Forgot to mention, "Even the god-awful, mercifully not re-released for Switch Ultra Despair Girls", unpopular opinion here but I thought UDG was pretty decent.
Sometimes I feel like the only one who loves Phantom Hourglass and the Temple of the Ocean King, though I have a friend who likes them, but I still find the complaints silly. The controls are fine. Going back to the TotOK to use your new items to find secrets and shortcuts is fun. Thought it was a clever idea too. Also, I think it's better than WW. Linebeck and Ciela are better than King of Red Lions. Dungeons in PH are generally better. It's more challenging. The world is better.
@Chandlero It may be speculation, but it at least evidence compared to your speculation that SSHD won't have improvements. Every Zelda remaster has had improvements. There is literally no reason to doubt the same will happen for SSHD.
While reading the comments hating on this game for whatever reason (even though WWHD and TPHD both had QoL improvements so this one will likely get the same treatment), I remembered Switch games like Paper Mario The Origami King and Pokemon Sword/Shield getting hate online as well but they ended up selling well anyway because Switch just happened to get a magic touch that grants high sales numbers for Nintendo no matter what game it is. The same applies for all those Wii U ports too (which deserve the 2nd chance because they were on a failed system).
SS is a good game and I'm looking forward to playing it again on Switch, with hopefully several of its little issues fixed (namely Fi and item explanations).
@Mr-Fuggles777 Well, you could try checking out the various indie games that released on Switch or a hidden gem you missed out on. Switch has tons of games.
@Mr-Fuggles777 While Capcom is definitely unoriginal by releasing so many ports, I think some like the AA Trilogy port are justified since they're there to bring in a new audience. The recent Mega Man Legacy Collections are really good too since old games become rare and hard to find.
@Mr-Fuggles777 You know this is Capcom, not Nintendo, right? They already ported the Ace Attorney Trilogy to PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. That was their decision, not Nintendo's.
Presumably that was a test for multiplatform releases to see what interest was like for the series. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles isn't being released on Xbox One so sales must have been really low on there. The big Capcom leak gave sales numbers showing that.
@Orpheus79V Ah yes, lines like "Baldy McNosehair" and "No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me" are totally worthy of being called best writing. No, those lines and many others in Sonic Colours belong in a cringe compilation.
Thank goodness, Sonic Colours had the worst writing in the franchise. Only played a bit of Generations so can't comment on that and I don't intend on playing Lost World or Forces since I've read negative criticism of those games.
The animation doesn't look right. Looks kinda stiff at parts and stuff. There's also lack of shading on the characters. Only thing they got right was some of the expressions. Sally certainly seemed off to me.
Also, it won't be the same without the original voice cast.
@Paraka Um, it's used for the spike blocks and conveyor belts. Still, unfortunate that the dotted line blocks aren't in, since they're the most connected item to the switch block.
@neufel It's a visual novel. Visual novels focus on their story and characters. Most visual novels' (like this one) gameplay is just making choices to affect the dialogue which results in a different ending. It's a niche Japanese genre.
@Jeronan Maybe you shouldn't make assumptions, because on the contrary I did know that the Switch has been hacked quite easily. Anyway, I don't see how that's relevant.
I'm baffled at the stupidity here. You should just let competitors bring their own Switch. IT'S FAR EASIER. If anyone's going to cheat in any tournament, it would be PC gamers who bring their own PC build as far as I'm aware.
@gortsi The main games are JRPGs, the rest are spin offs and include a strategy RPG, 2 hack and slash games (I think?), a JRPG with different gameplay (I think?), a game similar to SAO, and an idol rhythm game or something.

So long as CD Keys has download codes for these with discounts, I’ll be happy.
Re: Review: Persona 5 Tactica - Thrillingly Varied Turn-Based Strategy With Joker And Co.
Are there funny character moments like in P5R and P5S? (The gold bar and for real moments were hilarious)

@HeeHo It's a bit less than that now, but CeX has it for £45, which is somewhat reasonable.

Too bad FETH and XC2 aren't here. :/

Re: Poll: What's The Best Ace Attorney Game?
Oh come on! Where's Ace Attorney Investigations 2? That's the best one. I know it's Japan only but there's a very accessible fan translation.

I didn't play much of Philosopher's Stone for GBC. Found it hard and a bit boring at the time. Prisoner of Azkaban for GBA though was really good.

Re: Review: Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack - A Nicely Crafted RPG Marathon
@cartunecartune Think it might be because RPGs usually have deeper plots or that Mario's focus isn't story.

@Toadie I played the first game's fan translation and it was just London. I'm pretty sure the 2nd game will be the same.
