Re: Video: Digital Foundry Analysis On Dark Souls: Remastered

@H_Hunter the thing is, Nintendo switch isn't trying to compete with ps4/xbox on that front. Switch buyers and Nintendo fans know what they're buying into and what to expect, so most including myself are ok with those inferior but portable versions. Thinking a tablet can get the same results of the ps4 is wishful but stupid thinking.

@Deathwalka The problem with adding the more powerful chip is that it would increase the price of the system which anything exceeding the current price point would've had an issue with. Also, the thing with publishers being lukewarm or cautious with bringing their games to the system has a lot more to do with sales than it is the power of the switch. If they see they can make money from bringing a game to the platform it'll be made regardless of the power (ex: Wii). With the failure of the Wii U, many pubs were probably expecting the switch to be the same story, hence their shyness from the switch.

Re: Editorial: Trying to Play Monster Hunter XX in Japanese on the Nintendo Switch

@Menchi187 Monster Hunter will always be better on handheld systems because of the local coop and that's something the series and fans thrived off of. That's something the switch offers, hence it being the best place to play the series. You keep bringing up graphics when that's not what really makes a game or monster hunter as a series. I guarantee when they release a new Monster Hunter title to switch it'll sell better. And by no means am I saying World is a bad game but its factually was better on handhelds AND sold better.

@BensonUii A huge number of MH fans and players love it portable because of the playing with friends aspect and historically MH has sold way better on portable systems then on home consoles. I DO INDEED think MH games on home consoles is good but its such a shame they completely ignored the switch. MH: World on the switch would perform well enough on a home console aspect but would perform exceptionally well for handheld compared to previous iterations.

Re: We Can't Ignore The Switch, Says Sony's Head Of Corporate Planning

@MagnaRoader the problem with the original PSP was everyone or almost everyone bought one to run emulators on them thus Sony and developers losing money from bad software sells. Vita's special memory card and poor marketing and no big games killed that. Sony just doesnt really understand the handheld market and should stay making home consoles.
