Re: NIS America: Trails Beyond The Horizon Switch 2 Game-Key Card Release Is "Most Beneficial Option" For Fans

@LastFootnote I agree, a digital download is much more convenient. But if my choice is a digital copy that I need a cart for but I can sell it again or a digital copy that I can’t resell, the choice gets harder.

I bought Bravely digitally because I knew I was going to play it more than once, but I bought Yakuza key card because I know I will sell it when I’m done as I already have a copy on Steam

I don’t understand all the vitriol for key cards. I get that it’s MUCH better to have the full game on the card, but isn’t this much better than having a box with a code inside? Or a full game on the cart, but you need a day one patch for it to be playable? Other companies have done that time and time again, but I think that is much worse.

At least with these we can resell them and let people borrow then, right??

@RubyCarbuncle you aren’t helping your point here. Could I buy a WiiU and both games for $300+? Sure, but the WiiU isn’t nearly worth that. Could I bring out my GameCube or Wii? Well, my GC broke and my Wii is having issues on top of the QoL changes they made in the HD versions that I didn’t get to see. You’re more than welcome to not want it, but you don’t have to force your opinion on others.

@TG16_IS_BAE So what’s wrong with a company protected its invention? If the EULA only protects the company (which I’m not arguing), how is that a problem? To me, it’s kind of like copyright law. A copyright only protects the holder, not the consumer. The license agreement protects the company against things like reverse engineering and piracy.
