@Koto Yup, I agree completely a lot of it boils down to opinion at the end of the day. Oh don't worry I will definitely be buying one. I can't resist. I know I will want the games that are coming in the future so I will definitely get one. I just don't trust that there won't be a price drop or a special edition model or something before those games actually arrive! I'm trying to be smart this time (for once)
I have to say I think there is a massive difference in attitude between those of us in Europe, and those in the United States. With good reason. Delays are hitting everyone these days but moreso those in Europe.
Scribblenauts was meant to be out soon right? Like very soon? (I may be wrong) But that just got delayed, when it is already out in the US.
Fire Emblem is out in the US, but still months away in Europe.
Not to mention the price of the console. Honestly the way I see this whole thing relates back to Operation Rainfall (to an extent). It doesn't feel nice being in the region that gets the shaft. That being said I do realise this particular game is delayed for everyone; I just feel like it's reaching breaking point in Europe.
@Koto Don't get me wrong. I don't have a Wii U, but I really want one to play Nintendo Land. However I can't justify the purchase just for that. Gotta wait for the usual suspects to be released (smash bros, 3D mario etc). And you're right about development times being longer. I just feel like Nintendo shouldn't have launched when it did. It's all well and good being first on the market and releasing for Xmas aswell but with stock problems and a lack of high quality games I can't help but feel the launch was rushed.
And another thing, Nintendo definitely need to stagger their releases. No point putting out all their big guns at the exact same time, even if it is launch. But right now there is basically nothing to look forward to in the coming months besides the new Lego game (my opinion of course).
@Wildfire Sure but he might not be referring to this. And if he was, this is "interesting" for sure. To a lot of people. Just look at the amount of replies. If it wasn't interesting then there would be a severe lack of comments.
@Koto Right, i'm not an idiot. My point is, Nintendo keeps releasing their console at a time where nothing seems to be ready for it. Remember Mario 64 releasing with the N64? Absolutely legendary and will always be remembered as one of the best launch games ever. As will Halo for the original XBOX.
Nintendo made the mistake of releasing the 3DS with practically nothing. Making the mistake once is acceptable, they apologised and acknowledged their mistake. Yet they made the same error with the Wii U.
@andreoni79 Maybe they are finally wising up to the fact that a console with no games is poo. Promises are great but having to wait until a year after the systems release for the game you really want is pathetic.
@Ryo_Hazuki-san That is the EXACT problem. They ANNOUNCED all these great games because they have to. The games should be here already. I'm not saying this second, but within the next couple of months. Nintendo pulled the same bullpoo with the 3DS. I remember the Paper Mario sticker star video being one of the first used to show the 3DS. When did that come out? Oh only 18 months after launch.
I know this particular game isn't Nintendo's fault. But seriously, they need to sort themselves out. Especially with Europe. Where the hell is my Fire Emblem, Nintendo?
@theblackdragon No disrespect but that's complete rubbish. "This is what the digital revolution has in store, guys"...no. This is what Nintendo has in store. I doubt Microsoft or Sony would be dumb enough to charge extra for games a second time. The games are tied to our accounts so we will just be able to download them again. Sure that's an assumption, but the way Nintendo is justifying charging extra is because of the gamepad capabilities.
@aronatvw You mean like Microsoft did 6/7 years ago with those exact games. (Well, Contra. Not sure about Double Dragon). Not being a 360 fanboy, before anyone cries thinking I am, but get your head around that. 7 years. You're wishing Nintendo did something that XBLA did 7 years ago.
@LavaTwilight Of course it's not reliable it has Steam and Left 4 Dead 2. It's just some random mock-up.
Also, of course it is down to the Developers to make sure the Online component of the game works well but how can they do that when they aren't aware of the limitations of Nintendo's online service. Do they include menus and options for voice chat? Party chat (cross-game party chat?)?
Nintendo is just being stupid; in my opinion they're getting too cocky. Like a few of you have said it's fine that we don't know much about the console's online (even though we should by now, especially since pre-orders have started) but developers definitely should know. Good luck having a great online component at launch.
@madgear Thank you! That annoys me about this place too. I have a feeling it's mainly the younger members; but some people really need to take a step back and look at things from a less biased perspective.
£39.99 is way too much. Another dumb decision by Nintendo (and no they're not the only ones making dumb decisions).
Just got this today and it's amazing; playing on my 3DS XL as well. The RPG elements really help to make it a deeper experience than most other music games.
I also downloaded one song; Final Fantasy XIII's The Archylte Steppe. Whatever you think about FFXIII; the music in that game is incredible.
Now I just need a Theatrhythm: Kingdom Hearts. That would surely be a 10/10 no? KH has some of my favourite music ever composed; not just in a video game.
@Tinky Well this is one of the main problems I have with other Nintendo Life users; they take the reviews way too seriously. They see a 4 and take that as an absolute. They seem to immediately believe the game is rubbish and say "oh well I won't buy it then" but a review is one person's opinion. That is all it is.
If you JUST read Nintendo Life reviews and nobody else's; you're doing it wrong.
Stop saying they should release the first 2; Microsoft published Mass Effect 1 and they still own the rights to it (they just can't do much with it). Mass Effect 2 on the other hand is fair game.
@Wheels2050 Wow after reading all the comments; yours have been the only non-biased and honest ones. I don't care that this is a Nintendo fansite - people calling Phil Spencer (from Microsoft) a weasel after that comment need to grow up and realise he makes a good point.
I understand the argument of gameplay over graphics; but when the Wii U is lacking in power it won't be able to run certain multiplatform games to their best capabilities. Look at Dead Rising for instance. Whether you are a fan of the game or not; the 360's power allowed the game to show hundreds of zombies on screen at once; yet the Wii port got all kinds of shafted because the Wii didn't know how to handle that kind of thing. That's not a problem with the graphics; it's a problem with the power.
Also YES Sony and Microsoft can offer a lot better graphics and performance without even touching the current resolutions they use. They are not the same thing. Look at HD remakes; they are upped to 720p (HD) but still feature the same graphics that they did originally. Not hard to just do some research before you post a completely biased - and factually wrong - post.
A great game but I still prefer the old formula. It's a shame that in trying something different they had to get rid of the old mode. Maybe it should be like Mario Kart where you get a selection of old boards to play as well as new ones?
@LEGEND_MARIOID Right... how is that a good thing? The Saints Row series is great in almost every way; big fun games that don't take themselves too seriously. How is it a good thing that a 3DS version gets cancelled?
Mistwalker kicked the Xbox 360 off to some great exclusives. They released Blue Dragon at the end of 2007 and then Lost Odyssey at the beginning of 2008. If you guys haven't checked those games out but get a chance then do. They're both really good. Lost Odyssey has some of the best music i've ever heard. It is a shame it took them until 2012 to release another console RPG but if their past efforts are any indicator this game will have a certain awesomeness hidden away in it somewhere.

@DePapier Haha, its cool i'm glad you mentioned it anyway. Funny stuff!
Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September
@DePapier Please tell me you know that's a parody twitter account.
Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September
@3Daniel Great point about the marketing; i'll admit I didn't even think of it. Still doesn't excuse the huge delay though.
Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September
@Spark_Of_Spirit I agree. Funny how it's always September isn't it. If they released in August they might have an argument; but September? Not smart.
Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September
@zionich Exactly.

Re: Rayman Legends No Longer a Wii U Exclusive, Delayed to September
@phoenixology Not really. Those of us with an XBOX and a PS3 didn't exactly ask for this. It's never nice especially when it was so close to release.

Yea, it's only a Sonic Adventure game if it has a Chao Garden.
Please?

TLDR; Nintendo is being dumb.
Re: Nintendo Is Sorry For Wii U Load Times, Is Working On A Fix
Seems like Nintendo are always apologising these days. Shame they can't realise the problem before they release it to the public.
Re: Molyneux: Wii U Is Good, But It's Not Great
@Firebird360 Are you serious? Maybe because he made some of the best games of all time; Dungeon Keeper anyone?
@SpaceApe I care what he has to say. And he doesn't work under Microsoft anymore.
Re: n-Space Not Happy With Heroes Of Ruin Sales Figures
@ThomasBW84 Well it was definitely a leading question so well done for changing it.

Lol people are offended by Binding of Isaac?? Even if you are it doesn't mean it shouldn't be released.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think of 3DS XL?
@irken004 Agreed. I honestly think a lot of the hate will be unfounded from people who haven't even tried it.
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think of 3DS XL?
You keep all save data and all ambassador games. I was worried about it too but seriously; it's all good
Re: Review: Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (3DS)
@ymmas626 Yea you need to get over it and enjoy the series for what it is.
Kingdom Hearts is incredible.
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think of 3DS XL?
I got the blue one and i'm really impressed by it. Bigger is definitely better in this case. Much nicer than my Aqua Blue 3DS.
Kingdom Hearts alone deserves a bigger screen.
Re: 3DS XL Enjoys a Steady Start in UK
I played a bit of Wario Land II on my 3DS XL and it still looked great; not blurry or pixelated or anything. The screen is impressive.
