the Wiiu had great 3rd party support at launch, Switch had nothing. Its strange how the latter was a success with such a tiny launch lineup.

Nintendo should drop the price to 379 in Canada since our dollar has been gaining value.

Eternal just went on sale for 20 bucks on steam 😅. Couldn't justify paying 3x as much on Switch as much as I wanted to support it.

@Scrubicius cheap? Nah.. Reasonably priced yes. 80 dollars 8 months after release is not reasonable. 60 maybe, 50 definitely.

@kobashi100 they are contracted out to port the game, they get paid regardless. The sales go to Bethesda.

@Nerdfather1 yes I did say that. I'm saying it's cheaper for them if they arent doing a physical version. It's 79.99, a game that released 8 months ago on other systems. I remember them offering Doom64 on those versions as well, and then Doom64 launched on Switch well ahead of Eternal. I'm saying IT WOULD BE GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE IF THEY DISCOUNT THE GAME FOR THOSE WHO PAID FULL PRICE FOR DOOM64. This is not entitlement. It's common sense. There are many companies that run promotions like this. If you own "game A" get 50% off "Game b" or whatever.

If they want it to be successful on Switch 8 months later they are going to have to entice us a little more, especially for all those people who wanted a physical version.

@TheFullAndy I'm referring to Bethesda giving out DOOM64 for free if you buy Eternal, if you've already bought DOOM64 you should get a discount on Eternal. Its called good business practise.

@Nerdfather1 entitled? It's more than half a year later than other versions, has the worst graphics, no physical version, and twice the price.. If they want it to actually be successful it needs to be priced in line with the other versions.

Physical doesn't mean anything to me as you get 5% back in points for digital. Its the full price that bothers me. It should be on sale right from launch.

As much as I want to support their effort... full price? I already have Doom64 so I wouldn't even get that bonus. They should at least discount the game for people who own EVERY Doom game on Switch. I'll wait for a sale on this one.

Don't forget digital games give you 5% back in points foe your next game while physical just give you 1%.

I've stopped caring about physical games. I find I play them less because they are less convenient. Remember we used to buy physical PC games? No one cares about a box anymore.

I stopped caring about physical when I realized it's just so much easier switching between games on digital. Got a 512gb card in my Switch. Gimme more Dooooooom

Y'all need to stop bashing cloud gaming.. This is going to be the future of gaming. Better get used to it. Besides, it means ultra pc mode graphics on Switch! I tried control. It's awesome and runs very well even on my hotel internet

It runs VERY well. Much better version than one running on Switch hardware. I'd rather get cloud versions than no versions or subpar 540p versions of games.

The user interface is horrifyingly horrendous. Can't stand the menu system. The gameplay and graphics are good though.

@RodSD64 it's when someone uses the birth name of a transsexual person. So if they were born as John but transitioned to female and now is called Jane. So John is now the deadname.
