Re: Mini Review: Skellboy - An Amusing Take On Zelda That's Undone By Sluggish Performance

@SalvorHardin The Switch Pro doesn't exist right now for one reason only, and that is because the Switches are still selling like hotcakes. If that continues next year, we will still not see a Pro. But if it doesn't, and sales of the Switches start to decline due to the PS5 and SXS releases, then there is a good chance we'll see Nintendo releasing the Pro Switch. Honestly, I believe Nintendo can mitigate any negative impact from the Next-gen launch by releasing their arsenal of triple AAA, first-party games around the same time.

Re: Rumour: Wonderful 101 On Switch Teased (Again) By PlatinumGames

Investor9872

@PorllM Well. Platinum games released the photo along with the hints that something is up. I have to agree with everyone that The Wonderful 101 may be coming to the Switch, and the Switch only. If you look carefully at the picture, you can see a Switch there in the photo that they had chosen to release this statement. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Dino Crisis remake as well.

Re: Nintendo Has "No Plans" To Release A New Switch Model This Year

Investor9872

@sanderev In that quote, Furukawa said, "We are not considering a successor or a price drop at this time." He was right, since there were no successors to the Switch nor a price drop in 2019. There were the Switch Lite and a revisioned Switch, but none of those were the successor, like a Switch 2. In this quote, Nintendo said, "Please note that we have no plans to launch a new Nintendo Switch model in 2020." That was an emphatic statement. There will be no new Switch models of any kind in 2020, unless you believe that Nintendo will release a Switch successor with a different model name not "Switch" only 3 1/2 years after the Switch was released?

Re: Talking Point: Switch's Success Vindicates Nintendo's New Hardware Approach, But Does It Have Legs?

Investor9872

@Investor9872 Now that is very likely. The Switch is selling so well, and depending on what sort of 1st-party softwares are coming out in the fall to mitigate the impact of the PS5 and XSX releases, Nintendo will sell a boat load of more Switches. I would love to be able to pick up a Switch Pro or a Switch XL this year, but it does seem more than likely that Nintendo doesn't need to release another system till 2021.

Re: Talking Point: Switch's Success Vindicates Nintendo's New Hardware Approach, But Does It Have Legs?

Investor9872

@Lemonyoshi Why do you think that the PS5 won't come out until 2021? That's highly unlikely. The XSX is coming out this fall. Everyone is reporting that both systems will be out this fall. The PS4 and XB1 came out at the same time in the Fall of 2013. The only time when the PS3 came out a year after the XB360 was because the PS2 was still selling really well, totaling 150 million + when all said and done. The PS5 will be out this Fall.

Re: Poll: What Features Would You Want In A Switch 'Pro'?

Investor9872

It was a challenge for me to only pick 3 features of what I want in a Switch Pro. But ultimately, the most important feature for me is an improved, current and more powerful CPU and GPU. I have a $40 LG phone that has a more powerful CPU than the OG Switch. That's egregious! The next feature that I want on my Pro is an improved, larger, higher contrast, 1080P screen. Finally, the Switch Pro, by name, has to output in 4K, but if all 3 features cost more than $400, then I Nintendo can drop the 4K for the first two features on my list.

Re: Here's The Colourful Box Art For Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX

@redpython I've completely a heck of a lot more than you can imagine, unfortunately, and all of them when you come to a battle, let you pick a move (an attack, defense, magic or run away). Seems like you're the one who haven't played many. I've been gaming for over 40 years, and have never run across anything so simplistic in an rpg as this Pokemon remake, not even an action rpg is this simplified. It's definitely not worth the full price of admission. But to each his own!

Call it streamline or whatever you want, but it's asinine to have random attacks instead of choices in a battle.
