Re: Sorry, Contrary to Rumours the New Nintendo 3DS Will be Region Locked

Hy8ogen

Honestly I don't mind region lock if ALL the games are available to us in different regions. Sadly that is not the case. I have been wanted to play SD gundam g generation 3d and digimon digitize for a long time now. Because of region lock I can't play these games.

So unless Nintendo solve this issue, region lock is just BS.

Re: Reaction: Picking Apart The New Nintendo 3DS And New 3DS XL

Hy8ogen

@Jazzer94 I'm very excited for this one. I think this will repeat the whole DS/DSi situation all over again. Some games will need the new system, but 99% of the games will work just fine on both systems. I always wanted a bigger screen, but the looks and the feel of the XL and the stretched graphics (pixelated) just doesn't work for me. This NEW though, love at first sight. The metallic paint just gives me dem feels. I just hope the New XL will have a better screen so some games don't look pixelated on it. If it indeed has a better screen than the current XL, it's a confirm buy for me.

I'll probably end up keeping my regular 3DS as a "portable" system when I go out. The XL is just too big to keep it in my jackets. And when they do fit, it's always in the way lol

Re: Reaction: Picking Apart The New Nintendo 3DS And New 3DS XL

Hy8ogen

@yokokazuo Cancel the order?

The reason why I didn't get the XL is because it's not much of an improvement. Not to mention that it is undeniably fugly.

I'll get this new one as a home-probable console and my old 3ds as my actual portable console. Or maybe I'll give it away? I'm very excited for this new one.

Re: New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced

Hy8ogen

@MoonKnight7 Like how people bought Wii U games for the Wii? I can totally see that happening. Nintendo needs a new department for naming their devices...their naming is just atrocious and confusing.

Also Nintendo really needs to be careful with this...you wouldn't really want to alienate your 50 million install base. I think the NEW 3DS will get a handful of exclusives and that's it. Later games with work on both systems and maybe the NEW one will have better frame rates.

Re: New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced

Hy8ogen

Oh my god these whiners. At least research before you whine mindlessly. Let me address your concerns for you that you could've researched 5 minutes on google.

1. OH MY GAWD, seperate old users with no 2nd analog stick.
Seriously? Is this even a question? EVER heard of the circle pad pro? Ever?

2.OH MY GAWD, the new one can play NFC and we old users can't?
Where have you been? There will be an NFC attachment for the 3DS and XL.

3. So we can't play some exclusives on the system?! That's FRAUD!!
This is a legitimate concern. We will have to see how Nintendo deals with this.

But honestly, I think there isn't going to be many. Nintendo wouldn't want to compromise the 50million install base that they tried so hard to get. There is probably going to be just a handful of exclusives to push the system. I mean look at the DS and DSi, it's probably going to be the same with this.

I'm just getting it because it looks way nicer than the regular XL which is god ugly.

Re: New Nintendo 3DS Models Announced

Hy8ogen

YES! This is AWESOME! This revision looks absolutely stunning and the Metallic black looks gorgeous!! I was worried that the revision may be as ugly as the XL with added features. Good job Nintendo, this revision looks very premium! Lets hope the price is not too premium though.....

Guess it's time to give my gorgeous midnight purple 3DS to my brother and buy this one when it comes out!

@datamonkey No. You have to do a system transfer which requires your old 3DS. OR you can sell it and contact Nintendo about moving your NNID to the new console. It's more hassle so I would recommend you keep it.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Update, Mercedes Karts and DLC Pre-Orders Now Live

Hy8ogen

Man I'm very excited for this! It's good to see Nintendo is finally embracing DLC, and from the looks of it, they are doing it RIGHT! Mario Kart 8 will be the only Mario Kart game title on the Wii U and it has to last for another 5~7 years depending on the console cycle. DLCs like this simply breathes new life into the game! Well done Nintendo!

Now lets just hope Nintendo doesn't get too greedy and turns itself into the likes of Capcom.

Re: Mario Kart 8 DLC Coming In November, Features Zelda, F-Zero And Animal Crossing

Hy8ogen

@unrandomsam I'm sorry but this is not a sonic vs mario kart discussion.

But just to disagree with you, Mario Kart 8 has 32 tracks with mirror mode, lots of character to choose from, online mode and the game is extremely polish. I know you hate the game and prefer Sonic all stars but your opinion doesn't matter in this argument. Mario Kart 8 is well worth the asking price for the content it provides. Granted it may not be the besst value game out there, but calling it incomplete is just plain wrong. Also If it wasn't complete it wouldn't be getting high scores everywhere and selling so well. Period.

Re: Mario Kart 8 DLC Coming In November, Features Zelda, F-Zero And Animal Crossing

Hy8ogen

@IxC I see. I apologize for my rude remarks. However I still disagree. The definition of "complete" is very vague. What is complete? Developers have been doing this for a long time with a different name called "Expansion Packs". Now with the advanced online infrastructure we have today, they can just release their expansion packs as DLC.

As you may know, games are getting more expensive to make and the game devs are still charging the same amount of money as they were 10 years ago. That is why they are loving DLCs so much because they can re-coup their loses.

Now I'm not saying that I'm a big fan of DLC, but I'm just neutral towards it. I've seen some greedy and horrible DLC moves *cough*cap*cough*com. But some developers are just doing it right. For instance this Mario Kart 8 DLC. It's totally optional and you buy it if you think you want it. In my optinion, the original game is "complete" enough to justify the 60 dollar asking price.

So in the end of the day ask yourself, do you want to pay 80 dollars upright for a so called "complete" game, or have the option to pay 60 dollars first and then decide later on if you want to add some more content to it? Me? I prefer the latter. Also remember, DLC enables the developers to make actually NEW content for the game after release.

DLC can be the best thing ever and can be the worst thing ever. It solely depends on how the developer approaches it. And for Mario Kart 8's DLC, it's the best thing ever. These packs are obviously made after the game is release no doubt.

Re: GameStop President Says "Don't Bet Against Nintendo"

Hy8ogen

Good to see good faith from the biggest game store in North America!

IMHO, betting against Nintendo is a foolish move. If something happens to the gaming industry, I'm 100% certain Nintendo will be the only one remaining while Microsoft and Sony would just bail out. Burning bridges is not a good idea Ubisoft.

@XFsWorld Yup.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Outlines the Challenges of Debugging for Super Smash Bros

Hy8ogen

Publisher X: Delays Game X, So other platforms can get it at the same time when it was suppose to be an exclusive.

Publisher X: Delays Game X so they can shift resources to work on other versions. Other versions suffered from a lot of bugs and glitches.

Sakurai: Delays game, to make sure the game works 100% with no game breaking bugs and glitches.

In my 20+ years as a gamer, I have never experienced any game breaking bugs or glitches in ANY Nintendo games. This is why I will always own a Nintendo system. Their games are absolute quality and unparalleled.

@aaronsullivan and then sends you pickles instead.

Re: Resident Evil Revelations 2 Assets Spotted

Hy8ogen

@Mega719 Honestly I don't know what's Ubisoft's deal. I never remember anything going wrong between Nintendo and Ubisoft but their recent actions simply bears hostility towards Nintendo. I mean seriously, delaying Rayman Legends (which was supposed to be an exclusive) so that they can release it on other platforms, delaying Watch_Dogs for god knows how long, sitting on a finished game and giving Wii U owners a middle finger by saying all we play are family titles. the worst part? Nintendo don't give two shiets about it and just continue to let it happen.

I despise Ubisoft for doing this to Nintendo fans, but I'll probably still end up buying their games on other platforms

Re: Resident Evil Revelations 2 Assets Spotted

Hy8ogen

@Mega719 Come on now. Lets not forget the almighty Monster Hunter is made by Capcom....and is exclusive to Nintendo platforms too emkay? This is just business. Nothing personal. Unless you're talking about EA, those guys are still mad apparently.

@mike_intv Well if Microsoft funds the project, it doesn't really matter any more does it?

Re: Watch Dogs Will be the Only "Mature" Ubisoft Game on Wii U in Upcoming Lineup

Hy8ogen

@Ichiban As much as I want to disagree with you, it seems like it's true for Ubisoft's case. However saying Wii U owners only buy Nintendo games is not entirely true though. I believe there are quite a few 3rd party that sold quite well.

@ToniK I love ubisoft games and I've bought all of them on the Wii U. Sadly it seems like Ubisoft will no longer support the Wii U, which is a shame because I really liked the extra gamepad feature. Oh well, time to save up for a PS4 I guess.
