Pokemon has become a guilty pleasure. No matter how bad these games turn out, I will always play them for hundreds of hours.
Boycotting something this massive doesnt change anything. Not sure what the grumpy camp is trying to achieve. All your 6 out of 10 scores and bug montage videos dont matter to Japan.
"um... lets just give our mascot balloons and a pirate cap" - "yeah okay, I have one of those left from when we couldnt think of anything else 8 years ago" - "haha keep coming back to those dont we"
Edit: Just redeemed its a standard pikachu model so the only thing fancy about is that it knows flying.
To be honest I thought the Switch was a joke as well when i saw that launch trailer. I think all Nintendo consoles seemed awkward at first. N64 with that stupid controller and still using cartridges, Gamecube with Mini Discs and... well, it was a cube, Wii with the motion controls and graphics from 1999 that had to fight against PS360 and HD technology, U and the stupid Gamepad/name and then switching with the Switch seemed useless in concept but turned out to be fantastic of course. Honestly, they all turned out to be fantastic, even the Wii U I loved and owned.
Wii U had so many great games. ZombiU and Nintendoland for me, but I waited till Hyrule Warriors, that was my personal reason to buy the console back then.
My copy arrived yesterday and what I played so far seemed very mediocre to me. I would still say that the LetsGo and Arceus Games are the better Pokemon entrys. I love that the rival isnt a joke anymore and that the UI is so clean and tidy, but everything else feels rather meh-ish.
My mom randomly bought the game guide for Pokemon Red/Blue, because she thought there would infos about every game in these, after finding out that wasnt the case, she bought us the games so we had the games to the matching game guide
Thats how me and my sister became owners of red and blue in the 90s.
I want it but Pokemon is coming up and I will be busy with that for at least 2 months before I dont care for it anymore and after that Engage is coming up soooo I this will sadly get lost in the shuffle :/
Fronters was great to me but you have to be resistant to so many annoyances. One reviewer said you can either give this game a 1 or a 10 and both ratings are understandable. That fits it pretty well.
Oh wow this comments section. If the goal of the score was to get people to interact with the comments and make SEO go BOOM it certainly worked.
i played Frontiers myself, I am almost done just on the last island right now and while I agree with almost all the points, I would still give it a 7 or an 8. When its not annoying, its really really good. Also, you can skip almost all the grinding in a level by just fishing for 10 minutes.
A speedrun strat will probably be just instantly going to fishing, getting like 500 marks which is achieved very quickly and then just buy everything you need to unlock the boss of that zone.
Most likely getting Violet shortly before release as my online shop of choice usually breaks street dates, then after completing it, it will be an early christmas present for my sister - THEN on release night I will do it all over again with Scarlet.

Re: Soapbox: How To Improve Pokémon Scarlet And Violet's Open World
I think the core design was fine, it just didnt have any of that nintendo magic during the first 30 hours
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Scarlet And Violet?
I completed it and while it does get a lot better during the endgame, having a terrible first 30 hours is having me give it a 6/10.
Re: UK Charts: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Enjoy The Second Biggest Franchise Launch Of All Time

Re: Video: THQ Nordic Cooks Up A New Gameplay Trailer For AEW: Fight Forever
@DKGXX85 People who dont like games in 2022 that look like they were made for the PS2 are the problem why games look like they are made for the PS2?
