Though Nocturne Remaster and SMT V news was amazing the direct itself was awful. They should have shown the stuff in the Japanese direct as well.

Everybody should buy Catherine to show your support of Atlus games. Right now in Japan it is bombing hard.

Playing Cold Steel 1 and 2 to get Maximum enjoyment? Sorry but no. To get maximum enjoyment you need to play Trails in the sky 1-3 and the crossbell games too.

I wish people would realize that they do this intentionally. People will buy for PS4 then buy it again on Switch for portability. Sure some will wait for a Switch release but enough people will double dip to make it profitable.

@Venus_Adept A very large portion of Pokemon players don't play other JRPGs. I know several people who play pokemon but have zero interest in other RPGs.

Really enjoyed the anime but this game looks awful. I really wish they would stop doing all these anime game cashgrabs. Fairy Tail looks decent though.

@MichaelHarvey Lol at all the people scrambling to tell you there is appeal. I enjoyed pokemon as a kid but it was a gateway into more complex JRPGs with better gameplay/stories. Not to say Sword and shield wasn't fun for a play through for nostalgias sake, but anyone that plays it for the gameplay and not the IP needs to branch out.

The main issue with Nintendo sticking to lower resolutions is most people have 4k tvs nowadays. The higher the resolution tv the worse a lower resolution product looks on it docked. Trying to play N64 on a 4k tv is virtually unplayable.

With Platinum gaining more funds to self publish and make their own IPs, it's easy to be a little nervous. Project GG is apparently Kamiyas dream project in which he has full control and ownership of the IP (Platinum). I'm willing to bet that he isn't pouring everything into Bayonetta 3 and is instead focusing on that.

100 bucks for games I got for 20 on Humble Bundle. No thanks.

I'm most interested in what PS5 will do with VR. Anyone that thinks VR is not the most innovative thing this generation should go play Astrobot or Half Life Alyx. The Switch definitely has ease of use but its a handheld that you can play on the TV, which has been a thing for the last two generations or more. The cool thing is the instantaneous switching.

Not for me at least. I tend to only really find music from RPGs memorable though.

Adaptive soundtrack is cool but how many N64 games are memorable today regarding the soundtrack outside of Zelda maybe?

It really depends on developers. With super fast SSDs being the standard with zero load times it will be interesting to see if developers use this in mind with game design. Most third party games though on PC as well will need to be designed to run off physical HDDs though. Only way I'm buying a PS5 at this point though is if they have full backwards compatibility with PS1/2/3. Xbox is irrelevant since I have a good gaming PC.

FF7 Remake has a much different audience than something like Mario Kart and Animal Crossing. A jrpg will never sell comparatively to something like Fifa for instance.

Does anyone really think that any of EA’s games would sell well on Switch? People buy Switches to play Nintendo games not FIFA. It wouldn’t be worth it for EA to spend tons optimizing and porting for meager sales. Many of their games are heavily focused on online as well which is atrocious on the Switch with things like voice chat missing.

Koei Tecmo is publishing? So Atlus really doesn't have to do much on their end to localize Scramble. I wish Atlus would give more info on SMTV and Re:Fantasy.

I can agree with that. Mario as an IP has likely the most recognition of any other save maybe Pokemon?
