I would like to have a nice raspberry pi like portable. I don't really care too much about the emulation capabilities. But, its support for various coding languages does interest me.
@Dark-Luigi More like half a year and if you don't really think about it. It'll feel like 3 months and you'll be like " wow, time has certainly flew bye. I can't believe it's been 6 months already! That random internet dude was right!"
Wow, this blows Flipnote away. Actually i don't think you can actually compare the two anymore. Only a diehard Flipnote fanboy would say flipnote is better at this point.
A younger target audience is no excuse for terribly half-a*$ed artwork.. The artists should have studied Tezuka's art style (creator of speed racer, astro boy, and many other amazing animations). I'm getting a bit off topic here, but seriously if you haven't heard of Osamu Tezuka. Go ahead on youtube and watch his absolutly amazing animations.
@davidevoid you're talking about the Arduboy which is a Arduino based OLED monochrome handheld gaming console. This and the CHIP are completely different. Though both encourage the user to code their own games and programs from scratch.
here's the link to the Arduboy: https://www.arduboy.com/
The best thing about this is that it uses FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array). Which can accurately recreate the original hardware right down to its bare metal. You see, the beauty of FPGA is its ability to act like the hardware that was "programmed " into it. But, FPGA tends to be far more expensive than SoC. I wished more Famiclone manufacturers would invest in FPGA..You can read more about FPGA here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field-programmable_gate_array
Retro USB has definitely raised the bar on NES clones.
I own a Famicom and a NES. The famicom is a neat little system, though the coax connection is a bit crap. Bought it to play those alternate versions of castlevania and other games that have the extra sound channels. https://twitter.com/Gio32k/status/593414288645185536
I still think their matchmaking needs some improvement. I've been through 4 matches straight where we lost and i was the highest scoring player of the team.
@MegaMari0 there kinda is already. With the use of the D'Pad. You can either say "C'mon!" or "Booyah!" Saying "C'mon!" let's your other teammates know you need help.
This is a bit unrelated and a bit of wishful thinking. But, I would love to see online compatible GB/GBC/GBA virtual console games. Also, I would really like to see them expand their handheld library to include Neo Geo Pocket games.
@cdude Yeah, I've witnessed a few noobs not playing it the proper way. You just know they haven't played SMB before. Holding down the run button is essential. The only time i would stop holding down the run button is when I have to do several smaller jumps in succession while holding forward. It just works.
I'm a recent owner of the Commodore 64 and Commodore Vic 20. Find actual floppy disks for those computers are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Since floppy disks are magnetic, they usually crap out after a certain amount of uses. The ones that do survive, especially the really good ones. Can go for hundreds of dollars and you have no idea how much longer they will last. Thankfully there are emulators and devices out there which allow you to play software that otherwise would have been lost to time. Without such things existing, I would have never gotten into retro computers and I would have never been able to fully experience what made those computers wonderful.
@Markystal you can via Netflix... I was just watching Trigun and trouble witches on my 3DS the other day. Also it sucks that there wont be 3D movies on my 3DS. it woulda been so cool...
Just because it has a story written by two toy story writers from the orignal toy story movie, doesn't make it an automatic win. Just look at the Ghost Busters game for the 360 and PS3. That game had the original writers for it, yet it didn't preform well in sells or ratings.

Interesting approach to the basics of programming.
Re: Toys R Us Is Preparing To Liquidate Its U.S. Business, Reports Claim
@Ryu_Niiyama they also bought K&B toys back in the early 2000s when the economy wasn't doing well.
Re: Soapbox: Dark Souls’ Ruthless Recipe Perfectly Suits Switch’s Evolving Audience
@vitalemrecords I hated that boss so much. Being in a tiny confined space with dogs chase you around all while having to deal with the capra demon.
Re: Soapbox: Dark Souls’ Ruthless Recipe Perfectly Suits Switch’s Evolving Audience
@QwertyQwerty are you sure you're not talking about Demon Souls?
Re: Soapbox: Dark Souls’ Ruthless Recipe Perfectly Suits Switch’s Evolving Audience
@KingSandyRavage it's only enjoyable if you like a challenge and don't get discouraged when death is frequent.
Re: Video: Retro Emulation Finally Comes To Switch Following Homebrew Hacking Efforts
Why stop there? Put in a Philips CDi emulator in there too! And play some Mutant Rampage: Bodyslam!
Re: Review: Rocket League (Switch eShop)
One of the few games i wouldn't mind buying again for my Nintendo Switch. Even though I have it on my ps4pro.
Re: GameShell Looks Like A Game Boy, But Offers So Much More
@ollietaro
maybe B. It looks a lot like something sony would have made in the 90s. Like the sony watchman.

Re: Guide: Protect Your Nintendo Switch On The Move With These Carrying Cases
You should really checkout play-asia and yes-asia. they both have many more japanese exclusive accessories for the nintendo switch.
Re: Gallery: Let's Compare The Nintendo Switch To Other Handhelds
No size comparison to the Sega Game Gear, Sega Nomad, Milton Bradley Micro Vision, or the Atari Lynx handheld?
Re: Guide: Everything We Now Know About the Nintendo Switch
@SNESuperior Stereoscopic 3D has always been a gimmick ever since the 1800s. It's been around for almost 200 years. Just check the wiki.

@Ninten-san "v"s are pronounced like "b"s in spanish. My parents pronounce it as Bee-de-oh. The "oh" sound is short.

Re: Features: Bizarre Emails Sent to Nintendo Life - Volume 3
"NA NEEEEEE HE NEEEE NEEEEE PAULIE SAYS HI AUNT SHELIA! " So random, yet soo funny.
Re: Review: Donkey Kong (Game Boy)
You know what, since the 3DS has a gyroscope. They could port over kirby tilt n' tumble if they wanted to.
Re: 3D System Update Addresses Ridge Racer Issues
@MDee14
I had that crakling sound too on the 3DS shop. I made sure it wasn't my 3Ds doing it by playing a bit of music on it.

Why dont they just give us a reversable game cover?
Re: This Zelda: Ocarina 3D Trailer Would Make a Great Advert
I'd prefer them to use Shawn Connery's voice for the comercial. His voice would make it more epic.
Re: Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion
That actually doesn't look half bad. But looks are nothing without good gameplay.
Re: Flipnote Memo Coming to 3DS eShop
I did like the first one, im hoping for more advanced animation options. Here's my first complete animation from 2009:

if it were painted with real 24k gold paint ( if it exists), than yah it would be worth the price.
Re: Features: Games That Should Already Be on Virtual Console
wait a sec, there 2 other lesser known 3D games for the SNES. Vortex and Dirt Trax FX.
Re: Iwata: 3DS and NGP will Appeal to Different Target Audiences
I'm just going to get both instead...Why choose, when you can enjoy both platforms? each platform will offer titles which I will want.
