Well, if you think about it, xbox 360 is the only "last gen" system that cost money to play online. If this game is truly always online, people would have no choice but to pay for xbox live. Maybe Microsoft paid them a little money on the side...?

@Caryslan Porting to five systems(Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, Ps4, PC) plus advertising costs a pretty decent amount of money alone.

It's fine. Let them release an unnecessary remake that is pretty much destined to fail, and let them lose that little bit of chump change they have left in the bank. Then afterwards Nintendo would just buy them off for poopydoodoodoggiepoopledooples and giggles after they go bankrupt for making yet ANOTHER stupid decision.

That wouldn't be fair at all. Nintendo already has the highest, most popular exclusives out of both the ps4 and the xbox one combined. And it's cheaper than both of them as well already. I feel like a price drop is the least of their concerns.

People need to learn to just enjoy the game. Yesterday, I was playing in a rather competitive online tournament, and literally everybody in the match EXCEPT for me was doing this trick. And guess what? I won all 4 races, while I was playing normally with a Wii remote. I will never understand everyone's desire for leaderboard domination. Nobody knows who you are, therefore nobody cares about high scores. Just have fun and chill out, instead of grinding to get that 1 second faster lap.

I'm pretty sure they just looked at all the pre orders for Mario kart and smash bros and decided the Wii u wasn't so bad after all. Maybe now they'll give Nintendo a little more attention.

The day that I completely lose my gaming time is the day the world ends. I don't care how much time college or work takes up, life without gaming would be impossible to go through.

I prefer just a touch up on their looks in Smash bros Brawl, actually. They have sort of a perfect balance between realistic, but not so serious like these artworks look.

Ha it better be free. With the little amount of activity online, I'd rather spend money on something else. It is rather unexpectedly generous of activision to give ANYTHING away for free though, I guess they're just testing for interest on the Wii U side of the market. I still don't understand why they don't just put the rest of the dlc on anyways. Does it cost a lot of money to port dlc's from one console to another? I honestly don't have a clue.

Lol, this is exactly what you DONT do. Just imagine, someone intends on buying a 3ds JUST FOR the virtual gaming. But OOHHHHHH if you get the games on the iphone instead, you can pay twice as much but you can JUMP HIGHER!!!!! What a gold mine that would be, ripping off people while still losing money. Leave the in-app purchases to Capcom and Ubisoft's, just focus on your present consoles for now.

Even though I have pretty much every other console including the Wii U, if this version gets cancelled I just won't get it at all. This kind of business is immoral and just plain stupid. I am personally looking forward to this game, but I don't want to support a company that just gives up on supporting another company, ESPECIALLY Nintendo who is one of Ubisoft's biggest, if not THE biggest partner ever. All hail the sales numbers and the stock market...

@GN004Nadleeh which one of my comments are you replying to? I don't really know how to answer back because I kinda said two completely different things in this article. However, I think your replying to my reply of that one guy. In that case, yes, I know the Wii U has its own problems, as does everything. However, I don't really think you know what the "conversation" was. The person that I was talking to was speaking negatively about the Wii U on multiple articles while giving no positive remarks of any kind and instantly considering the Wii U worthless while on a Wii U article. This led me to believe that he/she was just speaking out of his donkey with no real opinion at all which is why I asked if they really had a Wii U or was just instigating. I just ask that you pay a little more attention next time before being so disrespectful. And to answer your question, yeah my Wii U was payed for by my parents:) Being 16 doesn't give me much of a choice.

@Aluwolf Just a quick question, do you even have a Wii U, or at least care for a Wii U? I've seen your profile, which was made a month ago, and almost all of your comments are just bashing the Wii U with literally the same argument about ram. If you hate the Wii U so much, why bother reading articles about it? On a side note, ram doesn't mean everything. That's like when the snes and the genesis were having the bit wars, where the only thing people cared about were how many bits the console had, and the graphics that the system could handle ( similar to what your saying about the textures). If ram meant everything to you, just buy a computer and never bother reading about anything that isn't a computer, because it will just be "inferior" anyways:/

I don't know how to stress this more.....if you got the 3ds very early in its life( which I did) you'll remember the 3rd party support being freaking terrible. Look at it now, it's turning out to be one of the most successful systems in recent years. Remember how the system took such a huge turn in just a year? Awesome first party games, not no damn Call of Duty or FIFA. Mario games, Ocarina of Time, Pokemon Black and White 2, etc. I have absolutely NO doubt in my mind that Nintendo will turn the Wii U around the same way they turned the 3ds. This year , theirs gonna be Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Bayonetta 2, a new Donkey Kong, and so on. As soon as people quit comparing the Wii U to the Wii (similar to how people thought the 3ds was just another DS) the sooner the system actually gets it's well deserved attention.

My revolution for Nintendo is to not let the good old franchises die out any more than they have already. Sure, I do love the occasional new Mario game, but those games weren't necessarily the "peak" of my childhood gaming. That belonged to F-Zero, Contra, and Pokemon. Pokemon is still doing great, Contra died long ago, but I never hear anything about F-Zero any more. Please bring back this franchise, which by the way, seems pretty much perfect for the Wii U. How about the year of the classics this year, since Luigi's is over with. I would love a new Star Fox:)

I don't want to sound rude, but do you guys really even play the Wii U? From what I read, it was mostly demos, videos, Pikmin 3 and SM3DW. However, I have never read one of these discussions and I kinda enjoyed it, even though the individual experiences were pretty much the same. You guys should try talking about individual games, like Deus Ex or Wind Waker.

I.... actually may pick this one up. I've been getting ridiculously bored of playing shooters on my Xbox, Playstation and PC (laptop). However, this reminds me of the hundreds of hours and countless AA batteries I used playing Black Ops 1 on the Wii 3 years ago. I remember being the only one using the Wii remote controls, sad to say.

...... I just noticed how freaking amazing the art style is. In terms of possible DLC, I think the most awesome thing Nintendo can do is create a game mode where the graphics style looks just like the previous games, my favorite being generation 3. I would definitely pay extra for something like that.

I don't understand this statement much. I have an iPod 5 which I am actually using right now to post this comment. I would much rather play my 3ds than this for games. Wanna know why? Because its a freaking game console. That's what their made for. I use my iPod for watching videos, going on the Internet listen to music and occasionally play a pretty decent game like Deus Ex or the Walking Dead. But overall, I bought this for how convenient it is, and I bought a 3ds for games. Completely different reasons which shouldn't even be compared in my opinion.

@Lithium Compare how long the 3ds has been out for compared to the ds. More than double the amount of time to release games on the ds than the 3ds. Also, I feel like the ds had actual competition as compared to the vita vs 3ds. This may have meant more game development for the ds than the 3ds since ds sales were higher than psp sales. But, it's your opinion so I don't want to sound like I'm "correcting" you or whatever.

Just pre-ordered the limited edition console. Can somebody tell me if the 32gb on the console is actually 32gb or not. My iPod touch says 32gb but it only has about 28. It's seriously not a big deal, but if somebody could tell me that would be awesome.
