The games are a 9/10 for me. The collection I would give a 7 because the gyro aiming feels a bit off to me and for the asking price, I don't think they did enough with these remasters.
I'm definitely getting this collection eventually, glad it's good.
Apparently there is some kind of rights issue with Gradius V, it was recently pulled from the PS3 store. And I believe there was an official statement saying a rerelease anytime soon is unlikely.
@Rykdrew I wouldn't doubt that Advance Wars doesn't reach a million as it's never been a huge seller(highest sales in the series was around 700k I believe), but are sales figures even out for it yet?
@Rooty 2 is already confirmed for the last batch that were announcement, just not sure when we'll get it. Mario Party 3, Excitebike, and 1080 Snowboarding are the others we're still waiting on.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Shin Megami Tensei V (yeah it was 2021 but it was late and I played it this year so counting it) Triangle Strategy Pokemon Scarlet/Violet TMNT Shredder's Revenge
I still need to play Kirby. Honorable mention to P5 Royal since it finally came to Switch and seems to be a good port, I already played vanilla and Royal on PS4 though so not getting it myself. Also been enjoying the new MK8 tracks so they deserve a mention.
This is a SE title so it will be 50% off before long, I think I will grab it when it's $20-30 since I'm on the fence. If Pokemon, Tactics Ogre, and Front Mission remake weren't also coming out this month I might have been more willing to jump on it earlier.
Some of those are way off from what I'd rank them, the list is about what I expected though. I'm hoping we get more 3rd party N64 stuff next year, that part of the lineup is pretty lacking. We only have Banjo, Winback, and Goldeneye in the near-ish future. I'd love see some Goemon, Bomberman, Snowboard Kids, etc.
I hope the game does well, but once I found out it was a visual novel I decided to wait until it's $20 to get it. I still have two Utawarerumono games and AI: The Somnium Files to get around to at some point. I have to be in a pretty specific mood to want to sit and read a VN for hours.
@Funneefox Are they that bad? I didn't think they seemed any worse than the average retro collection. I still haven't bought that collection because I thought it was overpriced for only having a few games.
SMK is so high because nostalgia, Wii so low because for some reason it's the only console release in the series to not have split screen option for GP.
This reminded me that I need to get back to Cuphead, I played it on my bro's Xbox years back and bought it on Switch but never actually got around to it there. I just ahead and bought the dlc since it was only 8 bucks(with how long ago it was announced and just now came out I thought it was gonna be a longer $20 release, I'm kinda glad it's on the shorter side)
@MidySeaCloud Given that Golden is $20 on steam I'm betting on the same for P3P. I'm sure people would be willing to pay $60 for a double pack, assuming both games could fit on a Switch card. P4G is bigger than I expected on Steam at 13gb.
Who knows, maybe they'll work out something with Limited Run or we'll get an Asia English version.
About what I'd expect, guess I'll drop my ranking(based on personal enjoyment, not what I think is best). Banjo Kazooie Super Mario 64 Paper Mario F-Zero X Sin and Punishment Star Fox 64 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Pokemon Snap Mario Kart 64 Winback: Covert Operations Yoshi's Story Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Mario Tennis Mario Golf Dr. Mario 64
I wanted this for the new features and levels(never played the mobile versions so new to me anyway) but after hearing the changed music tracks, and about the other issues I decided to wait for a sale. If they were truly definitive versions I would have had no issue paying the $45.
I originally went from rolling my eyes to seeing a Mega Drive mini 2 was announced until I saw the list of Sega CD games and then I wanted one. Now that it's been almost a month and no word of international release I figure it might not be coming though. If it does, some of those games will definitely change unless they decide to do like the TG16/PCE mini did. That was a weird release lol
@Deady I'm hoping for a Capcom 3D Fighting Collection at some point with Power Stone 1-2, Rival Schools/Project Justice, and Tech Romancer. I'd also include the Street Fighter EX games but not sure if they could do those because rights issues.
La Pucelle is what I was waiting for since vol. 1 was announced, I will definitely pick this one up. Hopefully it won't have crash issues like Soul Nomad. And since Rhapsody is on the cart, I'll give it a try as well.
So I wonder if this is it, or if we can expect a vol. 4 with Disgaea 2 and 3. I doubt they will do any completely unlocalized titles, it's one thing to translate some extra content for Makai Kingdom/La Pucelle but don't think they would put in that much effort.
I'm a little more interested in picking this up after the review so I'll grab the $4 eshop version. The screenshots with tiny flat maps didn't appeal to me but hearing how short it is and that it has permadeath has kinda turned it around a bit for me. Sounds like it be a fun short session and actually living with my consequences unlike resetting like in FE. XD
@The_BAAD_Man The game has been getting extra attention for being the last 3DS game, so once sites stop promoting it and sales dry up I imagine they might be interested in porting to another platform.
@Moonlessky They won't even do an eshop sale of their titles so I don't think is unlikely unfortunately.
I had no interest in this game for the longest time but had a lot of fun with it when I finally played it. Since I see it is on Wii U VC(I thought maybe there could be license issues) I assume it will hit NSO eventually.

Re: Review: Disgaea 7 Complete (Switch 2) - A Definitive Return For This Tactical RPG Giant
As soon as I booted it up the game asked if I wanted to transfer my Switch 1 save, you absolutely can carry over progress
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Super Mario Galaxy + Galaxy 2?

Re: Disgaea 7 Scores October Western Release Date, Nine Months After Japan
@Cashews They did that and we got Disgaea 6, it was six years after 5
Re: Every First-Party Nintendo Switch Game That Has Sold Over One Million Copies
@Rykdrew I wouldn't doubt that Advance Wars doesn't reach a million as it's never been a huge seller(highest sales in the series was around 700k I believe), but are sales figures even out for it yet?
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl Duel: Yoshi's Story
Both look nice but it's the NA/EU cover for me. The Japanese one looks more like it would be an artbook or something.
Re: Review: Pokémon Stadium - The Original 151 Brought To Life With Style
@Rooty 2 is already confirmed for the last batch that were announcement, just not sure when we'll get it. Mario Party 3, Excitebike, and 1080 Snowboarding are the others we're still waiting on.
Re: Game Freak's Secret Best Game Is No Longer 3DS Exclusive
Never played this but it looks cute, to me their secret best game is Drill Dozer on GBA.
Re: Review: Kaiju Wars - Silly And Surprisingly Complicated Strategy Fun
@Vyacheslav333 Right now it does cost more because it's on sale as part of the Steam winter sale, but full msrp is the same.
Re: Video: What Were Your Top Five Switch Games Of 2022?
Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Shin Megami Tensei V (yeah it was 2021 but it was late and I played it this year so counting it)
Triangle Strategy
Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
TMNT Shredder's Revenge
I still need to play Kirby.

Re: SNK's Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol.2 Coming To Switch Next Week
@Cipher36 The first game got a physical release so I don't see why this wouldn't.
Re: Review: Harvestella - A Promising Genre Hybrid That Needs Some Watering
@The__Goomba For some reason I thought this was on the other consoles. I guess it's another timed exclusive like Octopath, BD2, etc.

Re: Paper Mario-Like '2D' RPG Secures Funding For A Switch Port
Hopefully this will be good, I won't kickstart but would buy the game on release if it turns out well.
I'm sure Bug Fables is good but the art style of it turns me off for some reason, I still might grab it on sale at some point though.

Re: Review: Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 3 - Another Pair Of Lesser-Known RPG Gems
@Anguspuss It's not cheaper on Steam though....well I guess it is if you only want one of the games since there they are sold separately.

Re: It's Official, Tactics Ogre: Reborn Is Coming To Switch
I hope we can get the other Ogre Battle games on NSO if SE has no other plans for them.
@Masze There is also Diofield Chronicle, I'm not completely sold on the game but hoping it will be good.
@rex_rex Oh yeah I forgot since nothing has been mentioned about it in a while, wonder if it's delayed until next year.

Re: Here's How The Surprise Pac-Man World Remake Compares To The PS1 Original
@korosanbo It's $30 at Bestbuy so should be the same at Amazon.
Also it's maximum 2 units for Namco store, not minimum/
Re: Here's How The Surprise Pac-Man World Remake Compares To The PS1 Original
@Silly_G It's up for preorder at $30 on Bestbuy.
Re: Here's How The Surprise Pac-Man World Remake Compares To The PS1 Original
@Joeynator3000 Pac-Man World 2(it was packed with that split screen Pac game, I forget the name) and I believe 3 were on Gamecube.
