Re: Nintendo Download: 15th November 2012 (Europe)

FonistofCruxis

Yay, I'm glad Magical whip is finally here, I had given up on that getting a European release. Unfortunately, judging from the votes, it seems that I'm the only one who's excited to see that finally get released here. I'd much rather get that than Fallblox which will probably be immensely overrated like its predecessor. Who would want to play as that ugly Mallo anyway?
EDIT: I just re-read the review and I forgot that you can't save. Seeing as its a pretty short game and you can leave the 3DS in sleep mode, I might still get it.

Re: 3DS Continues Hardware Sales Dominance in Japan

FonistofCruxis

I'm not surprised at how well Tales of Xillia 2 is doing but its still good to see. Out of all the Tales of games on non-Nintendo consoles (which is unfortunately more than the amount that is on Nintendo consoles), ToX2 has become the one I'm most interested in. It looks amazing!

Like many other posters have said, I hope Bravely default: Flying fairy gets localised.

Re: Capcom Hopes To Bring Entire NES Mega Man Series To 3DS Virtual Console

FonistofCruxis

Seeing as most of these are available on Wii VC and there's also the anniversary collection, I would much rather they focused on bringing the GB Mega man games to 3DS VC first.
@Late and @Shiryu I have a GC action replay which also has a freeloader on the same disc which allows you to play GC games from other regions and I plan on getting the anniversary collection and using that to play it at some point. I know a system update prevented Wii freeloaders from working but the action replay part of the GC action replay disc still works so I assume that the freeloader part of the disc would as well.

Re: Review: Pokédex 3D Pro (3DS eShop)

FonistofCruxis

Even if I did like Pokemon, I wouldn't get this at that price, especially when you can get all the information in it for free on the internet.
@TheDreamingHawk Actually, if you have a phone with 3G, the internet will be with you everywhere (almost) which makes there be even less point in buying this app as you could play a Pokemon game while having your phone beside you with the internet browser open on a page that has all this information on it.

Re: Wii U User Accounts and Nintendo Network ID Detailed

FonistofCruxis

So you have one Nintendo network ID for the system and not for each account?
@HarmoKnight If you're that paranoid about it, wouldn't you rather have an account system so that you can easily get all your games back if you lose them? Would you really want to go through that ridiculous process of filing a police report and sending that to Nintendo?

Re: Nintendo Direct: Watch The Japanese Wii U Presentation Live

FonistofCruxis

New super Mario bros. U looks fantastic, I love the connected world map and the levels and boss fights really good too. The challenges and multi-player also look like they'll be a lot of fun. I hope you can turn Miiverse features off though. I wouldn't want those messages popping up on the world map or messages popping up every time I die.
@PinkSpider I don't think he was being serious, he was just trolling. Haven't you gotten used to LJM yet?

Re: Wii U Will Require Day One Update for Key Features

FonistofCruxis

I thought the Miiverse acted as the user interface and appeared when you started up the console? If that is the case, what would the UI look like before the update?
@LavaTwilight You're not alone, I like reading instruction manuals too. I like how some instruction manuals are really fun to read like the ones for Wario games the No more heroes series.

Re: Review: Paper Mario: Sticker Star (3DS)

FonistofCruxis

It doesn't sound like it will be as good as the previous 3 games in the series with its simple story and samey environments and characters and no partners except from Kersti. I'm also not too keen on the sticker system.
@Shinpichu I love Super paper Mario, its an excellent game and its my 9th favourite Wii game!

Re: Back To Nature

FonistofCruxis

On NoE's site, Kaasa solution are listed as the developer and they made Flashlight and Discolight on DSiware so this will probably get a pretty bad score.

Re: Watch: First US Wii U Advert Appears

FonistofCruxis

It could have been better, it didn't make it clear enough that its a new console. There will probably be a lot of casual gamers that think its just a new controller for the Wii rather than an entirely new console. Also, the music was awful.
@superianmage1 I don't see how anyone can smile "gayly". Gays don't smile any differently than straight people do. :/

Re: Movie Review: Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva

FonistofCruxis

Good review, I'll watch this once I've finished Spectre's call as it takes place after that game. It seems inaccurate for Don Paolo and Flora to be in this movie as they're not in the prequel trilogy and this takes place between two of the games in the prequel trilogy. Seeing as Layton knew Don Paolo before the events of The curious village, this might not be so inaccurate but he hadn't met Flora before that game so she shouldn't be in this film.

Re: Iwata: We Must Make Smart Devices Our Allies, Not Our Enemies

FonistofCruxis

@WhiteKnight Many casual gamers are satisfied with just playing on their smartphones for a few minutes and not playing anything else so if Nintendo did release mini-games on the app store, there's a chance some people might just buy the mini-games and not the games these mini-games are supposed to be advertising.

Re: Jump Trials Hops Onto North American DSiWare Soon

FonistofCruxis

I'm not sure about this. I liked 10 second run (still stuck on level 42 though) but I don't really like this game's aesthetics. It looks like a cheap flash game. I know 10 second run looked pretty basic too but it I think it looks more visually appealing than this does.

Re: New 3DS Sizzle Reels Show Their Wares

FonistofCruxis

I'm surprised the 3DS sizzle reel said E-E10+ as I'm pretty sure Fire emblem: Awakening, Etrian odyssey IV and Castlevania: Lords of shadow: Mirror of fate will be T rated. Those were great trailers anyway and the music was awesome!

Out of the games in the 3DS sizzle reel, I plan on getting Paper Mario: Sticker star, Professor Layton and the Miracle mask and Luigi's mansion: Dark moon. As for the eshop games I plan on getting Liberation maide and Wario land II (I know those are already out in Europe but I don't have them yet) and I might get Super Mario bros. The lost levels and Ikachan. Tokyo crash mob looks pretty weird.

Re: Check Out These Interesting Sonic Facts

FonistofCruxis

Some very interesting facts and the only one of these I already knew was the one about Eggman originally being intended as a protagonist. I had seen that creepy Sonic CD screen before but I couldn't remember how it could be seen. I'm glad they scrapped the Madonna idea. Having a human love interest for Sonic didn't work well in Sonic 06 but I wouldn't have thought that that would be a good idea anyway.

Re: Paper Mario, Fire Emblem and Rayman Legends Get New Trailers

FonistofCruxis

@SkywardLink98 Unfortunately, yes they are.
@Void That music has been part of the Fire emblem series for a long time, I wouldn't know how long though as I'm not a fan of the series but I remember hearing that music in both SSBM and SSBB.
Paper Mario: Sticker star does look like a great game but the story doesn't sound like it will be anywhere near as good as the previous two games in the series.
With how far they've got with the translating and voice acting in Fire emblem: Awakening, I'm surprised its not out in Q1 rather than Q2.
