Re: Feature: The Best Soundtracks on Wii

FonistofCruxis

I agree with Super Mario galaxy, that and its sequel have excellent soundtracks. SSBB and Xenoblade chronicles have amazing soundtracks too but there are better songs in SSBB than the Brawl version of Angel island. I personally would've chosen the Brawl version of Bramble blast, Nintyfan's choice of Gourmet race is a great choice too. As for XBC, I would have chosen Unfinished battle. The soundtracks that I think deserved to be on this list but weren't are:

Super Paper Mario
Wario land: The shake dimension
No more heroes
No more heroes 2: Desperate struggle - The only lyrical VGM I like more than Philistine (from this game) is Ao-iconoclast from Blazblue: calamity trigger.

Re: Iwata Expects Wii U to Last a Generation

@UnawareQuagsire I was fine with Samholy's post as he was pointing out the other advantages of more power but your post and that stupid comic of yours is ridiculous! First of all, you're implying that a game needs to have advanced realistic graphics to have a good, deep and immersive story. So that would mean that the Professor Layton series, the Ace attorney series and all the JRPGs released on consoles before the 7th generation, on the DS or games that aren't as realistic can't have deep stories and characters just because they don't have all these new advancements.

Also, just because a game doesn't have a deep story or a massive world to explore doesn't make it a worse game or a 'shallow' game. As well as finding games like the ones I mentioned in my first point immersive, I've found other games like Super Mario galaxy immersive too but if you can't enjoy games if they don't have all these advancements then that's sad and its your loss for missing out on so many great games.

Re: 3DS XL Comparision Gallery

Its ridiculous that there's no charger but I'm fine with my original 3DS anyway. Why are people calling the original vanilla? Also, since you said the manuals are all that come with it, does that mean there are no AR cards? What was the retail game in the 3DS shown in the pictures?

Re: No Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 for Wii U

FonistofCruxis

@Kifa Of course, just with the group of third party games confirmed for the Wii U's first few months, it already has better third party support than the Wii has had in all those years its been out. People really exaggerate how bad the Wii's third party support is, compare it to the N64 or even the Gamecube's third party support and you'll see how much better the Wii's third party support was. The third party line-up for the Wii U doesn't look interesting at all to me apart from Rayman legends and Project P-100.

I like the British voice acting in Xenoblade chronicles and The last story and its probably good in Pandora's tower too but I'm not sure if it would be as good with the Japanese characters in this game.

Re: Rhythm Thief Producer Aims to Revive Music Games

FonistofCruxis

@Marc_Max I didn't have much of a problem with the motion controlled rhythm games and I enjoyed the second one so much that it made me want a motion controlled Punch-out for 3DS but then again I only got to chapter 7 and you've beaten it so maybe there are some really frustrating ones later on.

Re: Rhythm Thief Producer Aims to Revive Music Games

FonistofCruxis

I wish I was better at rhythm games so that I could experience the rest of this game. I was really enjoying both the story and the rhythm games and they provided a good challenge too but it just got too hard for me at chapter 7 and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get through the rhythm games in that chapter.

Re: New Animal Crossing 3DS Trailer Straight from Japan

FonistofCruxis

I was going to complain more about the delay but if more time is spent on it then its more likely to be worth the wait. I loved the trailer though and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the second best game on the 3DS. Being the best would be impossible with a masterpiece like Tales of the Abyss in that place.

Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 Trailer is Informative

FonistofCruxis

The only new additions are all the coin related things which aren't exciting at all. Everything else looks too similar to previous entries, especially when all world themes are from the previous two games. I'll probably wait until I can find this for £20 or less.

Re: New Super Mario Bros. U is 'Accessible and Intuitive'

FonistofCruxis

It certainly looks more creative than NSMB2 but that's not saying much. I'm sure it will still be a great game but I hope that the next 2D Mario game will be more creative than they have been in recent years. I also hope they stop releasing main series Mario games so frequently. That could be part of the reason that they're losing their creativity.

Re: Nintendo Download: 21st June 2012 (Europe)

FonistofCruxis

Its good to see that Mutant mudds will finally be here soon but not good to see that most of the comments about the game is about the price. I can understand that some people would like the conversion to be more accurate but the quality and length both seem to justify the price.

Re: First Impressions: ZombiU

FonistofCruxis

I had written this off as just another generic zombie shooter but it seems that I was wrong to do so as it sounds very innovative. It lacks personality though and I'm not sure if its one I'd want get but it sounds better than I first thought. Can you save or do you restart as the first survivor every time you play?

Re: Preview: Wii U Hands-On

FonistofCruxis

I think the Wii U pro controller looks better than a 360 controller but it still looks too similar. I prefer the classic controller pro. Although, that might change when I actually get to try out the Wii U pro controller.
