Re: The GameCube is 13 Years Old

Finntendo

I got my black GC from my sister, who had bought it for only MKDD. So MKDD is very special. And then I got Soul Calibur 2, awesomeness. For long I searched for Wind Waker but the price was insane, even when used. Then I locally found a place that was selling WW bundle + 2 used games + memorycard for 80e. (WW alon was 50-60e). So I bought it, it had no memory card, I complained and the owners (not really knowing so much about that stuff) finally gave me a chance to pick one of the "new" games instead. Of course I had my eye on Four Swords! (I saw it when I picked up the bundle). So, with 80e I got WW and 4S and sold the console for 45e

Erm so... I never managed to build hge library with GC, still would like some games for it. But I guess I almost knew this was coming, since on Sat I digged GC out to the open and played Double Dash with my husband

And the Wind Waker. Made me so happy.

Re: North America is Getting the Limited Edition of Hyrule Warriors

Finntendo

@PvtOttobot

Well, in euroworld, found LE only 10e more expensive than just the game.
But I must admit selling LE game like this is ...absolutley stupid. It is - like someone said - in Europe, so much "NoE" goes on "only for UK residents only".

French Amazon still has these btw. And in Finland there was a few places that sold these (and were pre-ordered fast).

Re: Bayonetta 2 Casting Its Spell In Europe On October 24th, Limited Edition Bundle Confirmed

Finntendo

Awww, and just before I landed here on NL this morning, I pre-ordered that special edition from Finnish store for 47e.

I've been ordering special editions lately (like theatrhtyhm curtain call, since the price wasn't much different than just the game in here) but since I paid this advance I don't think I bother to cancel and go for that really special edition.

I DID miss Hyrule Warriors LE, pre-ordred full everywhere I looked :/

I hope these would hit US as well, NOE has been doing kickass job with SEs lately

Re: Feature: Introducing The New Challengers in Super Smash Bros.

Finntendo

Wakka wakka wakka wakka...

Eh no, Wii Fit Trainer! ...and Shulk of course.

I am still seriosly thinking that instead of Pac-Man (even he is cool) Bandai Namco should have given Yoshimitsu to the game. I could almost see him doing his katana-riding move on Mario.

Greninja is meh for me, since I've never played Pokemon, don't care and probably never will

And this arctice here reminds me again that need to buy that new controller...

Re: Nintendo Download: 4th September (Europe)

Finntendo

@Grumblevolcano

Okay cool. So actually eShop price is similar to physical disc

And this time I'll so buy OoA and OoS for 3ds.

OoT 3D is tempting, but I do have original and Master Quest so... But it's such a great game that I don't think owning 3 versions is a problem (don't tell my husband)

Re: Nintendo Download: 4th September (Europe)

Finntendo

So what is this talk about 10% discount of HW? How much it will be priced on eShop? 49.90e? I started to doubt pre-ordering since I missed the LE . In Finland it seems to be from 48e to 60e. Ordering from UK would save a few euros even with postage.

Yeah, counting euros here

Re: Nintendo Download: 14th August (Europe)

Finntendo

@outburst

Yup, I noticed this on Christmas while I tried to download RE:R Thankfully local store and 30% off everything between Christmas and New Year and hubby bought external drive before the offer ended

I think it's the only time I've yelled at my console and Ninty.

Re: Nintendo Download: 14th August (Europe)

Finntendo

@kobashi100

Well, the external drives aren't that expensive. I bought my 1TB WD Elements for 78e for WiiU. There it sits, quietly and ready for the games.
The crappy thing for the games are that you cannot buy and then download later, you cannot buy a big game if you don't have the space.

So Ubi is having a sale again. Too bad I own AV 3 and 4, ZombiU and Rayman Legends. Legends is such a great game!

Also, Child of Light - it's just wonderful!

(ps. lower the price of Ken's Rage!)

Re: Yacht Club Games Gives a Shovel Knight Localisation Update, With Pixel Graphics

Finntendo

Umm, you do realise that they won't be translating to every European language? But oh the big ones: German, Spanish, French, Italian.. don't know about Russian.
But I'll wait. Could bribe hubby to buy it on Steam but he'd never let me stay on his PC so long that I could actually play it..

It's amazing how well we played games as a kid even everything has always been in English and we start studing it on 3rd grade. Oh well, back in SNES days the instruction booklet was in Finnish. Or at least a printed paper with some instructions (like F-Zero GX ).

Yet my coffee machine is even harder to maintain, since the only piece of instruction I have is in German (lol, studied that for 7yrs and all I can do is order a beer and count numbers.. )

Re: Guide: The Biggest Wii U and 3DS eShop Games Coming In 2014

Finntendo

Okay, someone explain to me what's the problem releasing Shovel Knight in Europe? What's their excuse..first they push the date and then they push european release even further.

But there are few others games to consider.. and been adding money to my card that I use adding money to eShop (my main doesn¨t work because Electron and Ninty really should put some kind of warning that it doesn't work)

Re: Nintendo Download: 12th June (Europe)

Finntendo

@MAB

And "American Football" - and they use their feet...? To running... oh yes, that's football (and occasionally for kicking)

Still no drop for Ken's Rage.

ACIV - one online retailer here sold it for 21e already during the spring so I got it then already.

Re: Play: Mario Kart 8 in the NLife Community GP - Today!

Finntendo

And now that my races were going better (I actually was 3rd and 2nd instead of 10th), the system freezes. Maybe this is sign to go to work. If we do these GPs more, could we start a few hours earlier

And I really need to drive offline GPs with 150cc But it's s much more fun with real people since they do the crazy stuff like me!

Re: Play: Mario Kart 8 in the NLife Community GP - Today!

Finntendo

@xerneas
(don¨t worry, just talking about electronics and t-storms)

Oh, another communication error so this probably tells me to head to bed. Try to play some in the morning (hopefully it rains so I don't have to go outdoors ) Sande K I am if someone sees me.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Moments You Never Saw Coming

Finntendo

It's amazing how well Nintendo can keep stuff from the audience. Like LBW - no buzz and then at one Direct, they slap us with it and people go "oooooooooooo, what is this and what they are eating at Nintendo HQ!?"

So who knows wha they'll have for us.

As for Wii - it also created all new series on injuries that doctors saw. Terms like "wii-knee" "wii-elbow" "wii-shoulder" "wii-wrist" started to be familiar.
I suffered from horrible wii-shoulder after playing Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 - I had to take a break for 2 weeks and at work it hurted so much.

And people were LAUGHING when I said, why my left shoulder hurts so much that I cannot lift my arm.

Re: Video: Watch Us Unbox The Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition Bundle

Finntendo

Stupid, stupid me. "the others" have it already and I don't. I preordered it from UK months ago, on WED I realised there is actually place in my country that offers it with reasonable price. So I ordered it, Thursday was a holiday so no moving and it was sent yesterday. Boo, have to wait until Monday. And of course I chose to pick it up and not get delivered home (saved few euros there) and with the same effort, I could have just drove to store yesterday and check if they had it. Which they probably do. And if only I had ordered it on Tue or Mon, I'd have it already.
The problem with Monday is that I really don't have much time to play during the week.

So sad me, I played MK Wii last night. Once again he picked Turbo Blooper and during the 2nd race he started complaining how crappy it is and stopped trying....

Re: Mario Kart 8 Club Nintendo Promotion Offers a Free Wii U Game

Finntendo

@Park_Triolo

I was wondering the same (I live in Finland with UK CN account) and been registering my points. Of course the only reason for it has been WiiPoints. Even it feels silly nowadays.

Anyways, I think it might work (I've preordered mine from UK, since I buy almost 95% of my games there). If so, there will be some serious thinking between MH3U, W101 aaand Sonic..and yes, Pikmin 3. Even Sonic is cheapest - that's why MH3U is ahead since it is keeping its price better than others (and I already have Party U, NSMBWU, WW and NL.

MH3U even tho I lost interest with MH3 somewhere along the Volcano Quests (The last memory is thos stupid ants poisoning me, while getting the hot stones)

Re: Nintendo's Bill Trinen Discusses Localising Tomodachi Life

Finntendo

I watched the 11min direct and what did I just see! Damn I had to laugh... very japanese I must say.

Anyways, fun to live in small country with strange language. Have to play in English (the way it's always been). Being 6 and playing videogames without understanding a world - still played thru those. Of course back in the NES/SNES days, instructions were in Finnish, so you'd know what buttons to push.

Re: Review: Ice Hockey (Wii U eShop / NES)

Finntendo

And here I thought you were dissing hockey... I know these look poor nowadays, but when you were a kid... just great.

I have to say never own NES, but NHL95. Probably my most played game. Got blisters, learnt to score a goal without looking tv. Pens for the Cup o/ (still rooting for 'em)
